Hey Howard, thanks for your information, however Im still confuse about a few details and I was hoping you could give me a hand.
- should I bring my fiancee with me or it should be just by myself?
- we are about to book a hotel and possible flying tickets, so, how long did you stayed at CJ? before and after your interview?
- How do you know if you have an approved visa or not?
Thanks for your time, I really appreciated

I read in one of my applications the slightly chance of get a K-1 VISA approved at the Tijuana ASC instead of having to travel to Ciudad Juarez now I can't find such statement, is that an actual possibility or I just misread?

Permanent Resident means living permanently in the USA.
You are welcome to travel outside the USA but you are supposed to be living in the USA.
Once you get married in the USA after entry on a K-1 you must file for AOS, if you leave before filing for AOS you have to file for a spousal visa to return to the USA. There will be quite a few months where you cannot leave the USA after your marriage.
To me it sounds like the K-1 visa is not the correct rout for you. If you want to be moving around so quickly you should be getting married and filing a spousal visa instead as that grants Permanent Residency on entry to the USA.
Moved from USCIS service centers forums to working and traveling during immigration as the OP needs information on traveling and Maintaining PR status.
thank you very thoughtful insight, it is a common topic on this side of the country, but I always think that every immigration process is different

We recently start our process for a K-1 fiance visa, We are starting to make plans (who isn't?) and We are a little bit confuse about the rules.
We are planning on getting married as soon as possible and apply to become a permanent resident immediately, We are currently living in Tijuana, Mexico and Steph work in San Diego on the daily basis, We think that money wise it could be the way to go, but our concern is Am I gonna be required to stay within the US territory for a period of time?
The previews question also can be elaborated like:
I get married then what? stay in the country?
After I apply to become a permanent resident, stay in the country?
And the most important one, right after I become a permanent resident (literally next day) can I leave the country or I need to stay within its borders?
Thank You all very much in advance and I hope I'm not confusing you, English is not my first lenguage

I think everyone who has been waiting 7 months or longer should contact their congressman or woman to investigate their individual cases so CSC can see that we mean business. How do you update the website in March 2013 with a January 2013 timeframe? It doesn't take them any time to cash each check, but 8 month plus to process the application. Maybe they shouldn't cash the checks until they process the application. I paid $340 to wait as my application sits around as they work on other case loads? That's nonsense. We deserve an explanation and if everyone seemed help I believe we would see movements in CSC...
Unfortunately inmigracion departartments are the one of the only agencies throughout the government that cant be afeccted by citizen because you can't push your local congressmen to modifide, speed out or improved anything by yourself and since inmigration is such a isolated issue there is not much we can you, SO technically the federal gouverment will do as the please

Hi,
I'm a bit confused. I don't understand this:
the lawyer told Us the she needed to appear as a US citizen in order to proceed with a spousal visa IR-1 / CR-1 OR A K3
What did he mean by - she has to appear as a U.S. citizen and what does that have to do with you being married in Mexico?
Bottom line - she is a U.S. citizen, she can apply for a visa for you to become a U.S. permanent resident.
on the marriage certified she appears as Mexican

Hi first of all I would like to thanks everybody in advance for any helpful answer,
my wife is a born abroad US citizen, and she just became naturalized two years ago (she is now 25 yo), before all this we got married in our home town in Mexico, however since she never lived in the states before she married me as a Mexican citizen (in our marriage certified she appears as Mexican), now three years later we are currently living in Tijuana and she is traveling everyday to work in San Diego, we looked for some help (legal) and the lawyer told Us the she needed to appear as a US citizen in order to proceed with a spousal visa IR-1 / CR-1 OR A K3, we try to appeal our marriege certifed in mexico to rectified it but they denied it , and we don't want to either divorce or break any Mexican law by getting married again in a different state witch we can (but comes around comes around).
Our question is how should we proceed>?
Any advise or similar experience?

Hi everybody, good news!, I got my K-1 VISA approved, as matter of fact it is already on the postal office waiting to be picked up first thing in the morning, We decided to tackle one challenge at the time and I have a few questions that I would love for you guys to help me, so here they come:
Is the medical test I took before my visa appointment a valid medical test?
