  1. Haven't talk to your Ex in 5 years? Tell that to your wife over and over again and tell her to stop bringing it up unless she has reason to bring it up. Tell her you already move on and that's why she is your wife right now, it's time for her to move forward too.

  2. Wonder if... among the vast collective knowledge of VJ if anyone is aware of a web service I could use as a fax number. I get an unreal amount of faxes of which, half the pages are meaningless.

It would be cool if these faxes would go to a web account where I could print the ones I needed.

    Also, I use a Mac.

Use internet fax like Onesuite. They got unlimited receiving only for $1/monthly which comes with a fax number and goes straight to your email. Like what you've said, print only those fax you need to print.

  3. are you able to do a copy/paste of the countries that are free? or perhaps a screen shot if it doesnt allow copy/paste?

it looks really similar to OneSuite.com (i've used them since 2002) but they dont have the free thing. gratis es bueno!

Onesuite doesn't have free countries but their rates are cheap and its accessible via regular phone or internet so you can make calls either way.

  4. We use Onesuite online prepaid calling card. It has VoIP feature too just in case you don't have access to a landline. Rates are competitive at 12 cents per minute. If your relatives or love ones in the Philippines has a computer and internet connection then he or she can call a landline or mobile in the US for only 2.5 cents per minute using Onesuite VoIP service. You don't pay monthly fees or any other fees aside from the actual rates on the website.

  5. I am not an expert, but I found a very simple prepay plan at "onesuite". You can program three US phones, with an access access number, onesuite will automaticly recognize the phone, and you can program up to 50 Chinese phone numbers with 2 digit codes. The cost to call China is $0.022 per minute. To call US, you must dial the Southern China access code (1081-8101) from a land line, and enter the 14 digit PIN, and then enter the US phone number. Calls to the US are $0.27 per minute. I am not too good at programming phones, it is mostly done on the website, and the US part was easy. I know you can program some phones to delay and enter second and even third sets of numbers. Phonebook, US son: Send - access code - delay - PIN - delay - US pone number, but I have not tried it. I can dial all the numbers when I call US, but I try to get them to call me on my account, so it costs much less.

I have made it very convenient for my son, daughter, and parents to call me, when I am here in China, and my wife has all of her family members programed, so she can press China, send, and a 2 digit code for each family member. I wish I knew of a cheaper way for you to call the US. You could try "CandleforLove.com", they have a communications forum, and there are many different ways to call back to the USA from China talked about there. Mike & Yizhen

Right, me and my relatives have been using Onesuite.com too for calling each other. They got VoIP service now which means more ways to call you love ones.

  6. Im filling out G325A form. For employers of last 5 years I had filled out every line. However since I couldn't fit it all into there, I deleted the last line entry, and referred to the attachment in there. Only when I remove the other information like Occupation/From month to year etc the "year" box won't just go back to a blank box, when I try to remove the information it keeps going back to "0000" and I want for it to be a blank box.

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    Malysh.

You could try starting over with a new form. Or, if that does not work, just list what employers will fit, and refer to that item in your attatchment.

Thanks. I started a new form instead.

A problem with the free reader, but at least you can save your work with the latest versions, couldn't do that a couple of years ago. With the full version of Adobe Acrobat, can actually select the font size for the fields and use a smaller font for those extra long names. Could also hand print it using a micro sized font

One reason why I hate Adobe, they come out with a new version each year for a couple hundred plus bucks upgrade, no different than the last version, but they change the format of the *.pfd files so older versions won't open the latest forms, and the government always uses the latest version. I had version 4 when we started this immigration stuff and upgrade to 5 and 6. I used six over a year ago that still would open the N-400, but was shocked and kind of mad because I couldn't print out that form. So I loaded that pdf file to an older computer with version 5 on it, and it printed the form out fine, but wouldn't let me make any changes to the form, if I found errors had to do that with version 6, then print it out on version 5.

We want to do everything neat and complete, but the government sure isn't helping us, they can just raise taxes to use the latest versions. I did write my senator really bitching that the government was offering a reader that you could not save, maybe that one letter did work with Reader version 8.

I ditched Adobe Reader a long time ago...been using Fox It software instead.
