  1. Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.

We got all the NOA for I-130, I-485 and I-765. We can check status for I-130 and I-765 online. Yesterday, we got an email from USCIS informing that my wife's EAD card was ordered. However, We always get the above message when we submit I-485 case number on USCIS website. Wonder if anybody has the same problem, and what should we do to get it online? We really need to know ahead of time, so we can be back in town for AOS interview. Both of us travel extensively on company's business trips.

    Greatly appreciate.

  2. Thank you very much for your response.

But one question though should we get the oath letter in the mail or should we collect it in person ?

    thanks

Normally, it should be delivered to your current address. Try not to move before this thing done. I've seen at least 3 persons at my local office complaining about not getting any letter from USCIS, eventhough they inform USCIS their new addresses right before they moved. If you does not receive your oath letter within the timeframe that other people in your local office received theirs, make an info pass with your local office asap. That's my personal experience. Don't even bother to call the 800 number, they will almost always tell you to wait 90 days.

  3. I got my oath ceremony letter today at local Los Angeles USCIS office. Oath date is Aug 28th 2009. I'm glad it's almost over, but I think I should share this odd experience with whoever has to deal with USCIS in LA

I live in Los Angeles, but for some reason USCIS sent me to Santa Ana field office for the interview, in July 10, 2009. After the interview, I thought I would received my oath letter 1-2 weeks after that, cause my one of my cousin got his just 8 days after the interview. I waited for 30 days, then contacted Santa Ana field office on Aug 10th, to find out that they transfered my file to LA on July 22nd for oath ceremony on July 24th. I never got any letter from USCIS though. I then made an info pass with LA field office on Aug 12th, to find out that they canceled my oath ceremony on July 24th, with no explanation, but they say they would check and let me know. My guess is the scheduler in Santa Ana made it too close, the guy in LA didn't have enough time to prepare my file, so he canceled it. Today, I went to USCIS LA again. This time they asked me if I would be available for Aug 28th oath ceremony, and hand me a print out right there. However, whenever I called the 800 number, they told me to be patient and wait 90 days.

So if you passed the interview in Santa Ana or LA, but not receiving you oath letter in 2 weeks, you should contact USCIS LA right away, cause they might have just left you or forgotten your file along the way.

  4. I think quite a few people have been asking the same question in this forum, but I can't not find it. If you guys know, please lead me the link.

I am waiting for my oath ceremony coming this August. My fiance is a H1B visa holder. We've dating for almost nine years, the wedding date is in October. We will sign the marriage certificate and apply for her green card right after I get my citizenship. We really don't want risk a chance that she looses her job, has to move back to Vietnam...yada yada yada. I've read a lot from USCIS website, but somehow I've got lost. There are many different forms with long procedures, like I-130, I-864, I-485, I-693, I-765, I-131... Could you please give me some instruction and guide line, which forms I should send to USCIS and the procedure for them.

    Greatly appriciate.

  5. I've called the 1-800-375-5283 number and it seems everyone who answer is just a subcontracted customer service rep that doesn't have any updated information except for the knowledge base information they are reading from the uscis web site. They look up your info it seem from the same site. I guess we ( the filers ) have more up to date info than they do.

I've read from some post that a few of you have spoken to a more resourceful persons and got interview info, schedules, etc.

What numbers are you calling to get a hold of a USCIS employee that has access??

My situation is that our family is planning a summer vacation in JULY and it'll be out of town. But I want to make sure I'm in town for the Citizenship Interview. I also don't want to spend thousands of dollars just to cancel it if the interview is the same week as our planned vacation.

    Thanks..

Somebody in this forum told me about this useful site www.get2human.com. Look up the column on the left hand side, find "Search for Companies beginning with", then click on letter U. Scroll down the screen, you will find the instruction to call to US Citizenship and Immigration. Basically, you will press 1 to choose English when you hear "Select your language", press 1 at the main menu, then press 2 at the next one, you will be able to talk to a representative. Depends on what time you call, the waiting period could be between 30 secs to 15 mins. Be nice to the rep, beg her/him to let you talk to an officer, and hope she/he will transfer you to the next level.

I followed the website's instruction to call USCIS at 5:30 PM, and was able to talk to a rep in within 30-40 seconds. That rep was nice enough to transfer me to an officer.

    Good luck.

  6. Hi Meogia,

    Did you get anything yet?

We have the same DO and I'm trying to gather statistics :)

I got my IL today. The post mark was on May, 20. Since I was informed by USCIS that my IL was sent out on May 19, I kinda hoped the letter would come last friday or saturday. Anyhow, it took 4 days (excluding weekend and holiday) for USPS to deliver the letter to LA from Missouri. So you shouldn't be worried too much, like I have been in the last couple of days :-((, if the IL didn't arrived as early as you expected.

    IL received May 26.

    Interview date: July 10

Please help me update my status.

    Thanks.

  7. Just want to share with you guys my 2 cents. Hope it'll help when you call uscis.

I've just used the instruction on www.get2human.com to call uscis at 5:25 PM today. I didn't think anybody will pick up the phone at this late hour, but I gave it a shot anyway. It went through almost immediately and I was able to talk to both a representative and a data analyst. Looks like nobody call uscis after 5:00 PM.

First, I told the representative that I got a yellow letter from uscis 02 weeks ago, requesting me to bring "...." to the interview. I have been longing for the interview letter but still have not received it yet. So, she told me to hold on, she would transfer me to the data analyst, or something like that.

When connected to the analyst, I told him the same statement as to the representative. He asked for my green card number, looked up data and told me everything was fine and hurried to get me off the phone. So I asked if he could give me a few seconds to explain my case. I tried to win his sympathy, telling him that my co-worker and I are state employees (which is true), both of us filed for naturalization about the same time, and he got his interview letter almost 2 weeks ago, but I still haven't got my yet. So he started asking me about my address, date of birth... to verify my identification before informing me that my interview letter was sent out this morning, and I will be scheduled for interview in "city", July "date", at 7:30... Then "I am so happy to hear this", "thank you so much", "I appreciate your help"...

Now I will wait till friday to see if I get my letter or I have to call them again.

  8. Sorry, I post this one in the wrong thread. I am supposed to post it in March thread. My priority date is in March, not January. Just leave a copy here anyhow.

Just want to share with you guys my 2 cents. Hope it'll help when you call uscis.

  9. Can anybody please help add me in the list? I've just learnt about this very helpful website 02 days ago.

    Sent NOA Finger print Location

    03/27/2009 04/03/2009 04/23/2009 AZ lockbox, Los Angeles

By the way, I got a yellow letter for USCIS yesterday, asking me to bring state-issued driver's license or photo identification card to the interview. There is no interview date in the letter, anyway. I wonder if anybody got similar request, and what it is about? How long should I be anticipate for the interview letter?

    Thanks
