We recieved notificaton that our NOA2 was approved on August 21, 2009. Where is the hard copy of the NOA2 letter sent? To the petitioner or the beneficiary. How long does it usually take to receive. It has been 10 days, should be we concerned.
Also, how long does it typically take to receive the packet 3 from the London Embassy?
Thank you in advance for any assistance and good luck on your journey.

you send DS-230 Form Part I, Form DS-156, and Form DS-157 for each person and the Form DS-156-K (completed by the principal applicant only) right away and the checklist when your ready for the interview. and you take everything else with you to the interview.
I forget which papers are in duplicate and which ones are signed and not signed but you don't send any documents with them just the forms themselves. if your ready for the interview right away you can send the checklist right with the forms.
The I-134 and supporting documents
the birth certificate and police certificate
and all other supporting documents get taken to the interview.
Can you tell me who will receive the hard copy of the NOA2. The petitioner or the beneficiary? Also, how long does it take to receive packet 3 it has been over 10 days since the NOA2 was approved.

Our petition has just been approved.
Before we venture on to the next step, i'm finding it a little unclear on how the medical works...do they make me an appointment somewhere? or do I book an appointment with my local hospital?
Also a quick other little question. For my police report, i'm required to provide two pieces of proof of address. Considering i'm not the bill payer, nor do I get mail too often. How else could I provide this?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm.. I have a feeling that all of you "complacent" types also voted for Obama and are realllly going to love nationalized health care.
You are out of line

Hopefully you get your NOA2 soon. Looks like you're in the estimated time. I'm guessing ours will come on August 31st, which would also be the same day my fiancee and I initially met. I know once that time comes, I'll be thinking every minute about getting the NOA2.
Wow August?
I am a month behind your NOA 1 and my timeline is saying I should expect December.... what a difference a month makes
That is because you are in the Vermont Service Center. They are 1 to 2 months behind the California Service Center. We are in the same situation. Nothing can be done but wait.

Congratulations And thanks for the valuable information

patience! This can be a long and painful process. USCIS can take up to 6 months to process a petition, all the time never indicating a touch on the system.
What do you mean when you say "touch" ?

Congratulations. It's always nice to see others getting the good news they so rightly deserve. Best of wishes for the future.

A big thank you to all fellow Visa Journey members This site has been the most accurate site for information. Thanks to everyone for sharing experciences it does help with some of the anxiety of the processes. Good luck to everyone. The following is how the interview process went for me I hope passing this along helps you get through the process.
The interview was easy
I got there an hour and 15 minutes early the queue only had about 7 other ppl in it by that point, so i decided to queue up in there with them They let me in. I sat there for about 50 mins before i got called up to the window, where i gave the lovely lady my birth certificate, passport, police certificate & support documents
then she sent me over to pay the bill while she sorted through them. I came back and she gave me a form to fill out for the courier service, and she told me that, mines been the easiest she's had to deal with. I then waited for another 40+ mins to be called to the interview booth further on in the buidling, where i spoke to a kind american man. He asked very few questions, he asked where i was going, what my fiancee did for a living, where Burleson, Texas is then he handed me my x-rays and told me I was approved.
My port of entry will be on December 10th at Dallas International Airport. Thanks again for all the help Visa Journey has given us.
