  1. Ok so my fiance had posted a question on the best way to contact the embassy to see where our papers are and why he hasn't received his packet yet. One couple had posted:

"When you call DOS, ask if you're in the system in London. If you are, you can go ahead and book a medical appointment using your NVC LND number and you can send in all the packet 3 documents yourself; no need to wait for the letter because all it will do is tell you to go to the website to print off the forms.

Remember to get a police certificate and the long version of your birth certificate too.

    Good luck! "

So today I called DOS, they said we are in the system and his packet is on the way it was sent out this month but because its comming in regular mail it may take awhile. So what forms do we need to download and fill out so we can get this ball rolling?

    Thanks...

    Meghan & Patrick

  2. Ok so I got the NOA2, I have to send all of our papers, proof, what not and so on to Patrick for the interview. I three holed punch all the papers (being sure that it didnt clip out something important) and put them in a three ring binder. Its very well organized with tabs, sticky notes, in order by dates, so on (in other words as organized as one could possibly get)....I'm starting to second guess myself on whether or not I should have three hole punched it. Did anyone else do it the way I have? What are the other ways everyone else is doing it?

    Thanks so much!

    Much love VJer's

  5. This might be a more appropriate thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=213262 :)

If you go under Igor's list and click on "approved applications" and scroll down to the bottom, you can see a list of people who have been approved so far; looks like there have been 7 people! I'm not holding my breath though to get one early; I think those people were just verrry lucky.

What part of the UK is your significant other from? Mine is Sheffield :)

Patrick is from Tunbridge Wells, I don't know how far that is from Sheffield...I don't even know where Sheffield is lol.

By the way, I think that is soo freakin adorable that you two met at a Harry Potter conference. I'm a Harry Potter fan myself but more obsessed with Twilight. lol

  6. Thanks you. I do love Skype just because it keeps all of ours conversations but the quality of the call is normally not good. I do tend to download a bit, I guess I need to clean up my computer a bit. I didn't think that that was what was interfering with the call because it was happening on his end too. Thank you so much.

  7. Hi everyone,

I just received an email from the USCIS stating "On September 28, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)." Can anyone tell me if this is this my NOA2?

I filed the I-129F ~Aug. 23 and my NOA-1 was issued on Aug. 25, so I was a little surprised by this email (seems early). The USCIS website has my case status as "Post Decision Activity" (it was in "Initial Review"). I'm a little worried that maybe I've just been denied or something, but both the website and the email state "approved" and I don't think there's a reason they would deny me. I haven't received anything in the mail yet (just got the email and text message tonight), so maybe it's just a glitch in their new website? I guess I'll cross my fingers for now.

I would think that that's ur NOA2. I definately don't think there is anything to worry about though. I have heard a few August filers have been approved so lucky you! Hopefully I'll be getting mine soon.

  8. Hello fellow VJ'ers! So me and my fiancee constantly talk on Skype...but recently Skype has been messing up all the time and driving me crazy because all I want is to talk to my love without the call being dropped or the sound or video messing up. Any suggestions on a better video chat software?

    Thanks.
