Great! I understand that you usually get NOA1 few days after they received your application. So, there is no need for me to apply for Advance parole or any travel documents and such, right?
-
Hey, I'm curious. Can you travel outside the country while waiting for the approval of removal of condition? I just booked my flight to go home this decemeber. And I am not eligible to apply for the removal of condition til Sept'11. Can you still go outside the country while your application for removal is pending? Thanks!

Hello Everyone!
Im not due to apply for I-751 til september '11 but here's my dilemma: I just booked my flight to go home for December'11 for 3 weeks, and i didnt realized that the removal of condition application takes more than 3 months. Would me traveling outside the country while my removal of conditions is pending be an issue? I cannot apply for re-entry permit because I wont be gone for more than a year. Any advise please. Its starting to bug me already.
Thanks!

My wife had her biometrics in Naperville and our interview was in Chicago. With a K1 visa there is a good chance you will not be interviewed for the AOS.
Hello everyone!
I just wanna reconnect and make friends with fellow VJ members who are here in chicago! Holla!

Hello everyone!
I just want to share that my Green Card (permanent resident card) finally arrived yesterday!
my EAD Card and my AP 1 week earlier! Thank you soo much for sharing your stories here and your willingness to share experiences too
Happy New Year everyone!

Hello fellow october filers! I just wanna share that i got my EAD card last saturday (approved last Dec 16/19) and i just received an email today that my AOS is under the "Document Prod & Oath Ceremony'! From an Initial interview stage - it jumped to the last stage!
and as per the status it says that on Dec 22, they have ordered production of my card (I485).
Please tell me that my GC has been approved! And also does that mean that i dont have to undergo interview anymore? Ive never received any interview appointment notice aside from the bio appointment.
Any thoughts?

Hello Fellow October Filers! I just want to share the great news!
My Work Permit has been granted! (Is it?)
It says that they have ordered production of my card (Dec 11)- is that good as my petition for work permit granted? Please say yes!
If it is, am i safe to look/accept jobs now?
one more thing, ive submitted my application together with the AOS and advanced parole, i was expecting that the advance parole and EAD will be approved on the same day?
Thank you soo much VJ family!

Hello Fellow October Filers!
I have a couple of questions:
1. Im done with my Biometrics, what happens next?
2. Once you got your I-797C(Appointment Notice), does that mean that you wont be getting an RFE anymore, as far as the documents that you've submitted is concerned?
Thank you!
1. You wait patiently... in case you have applied for EAD, may be that will get approved. Don't see you on the spread sheet, or am I blind??
2. No idea.. maybe some one else can help here....
Hmm, im not sure if i was included in the spreadsheet? Do you "enroll" yourself there? If so, how do i go about that?

Hello Everyone! I wanted to share an interesting experience about my biometrics appointment. I just received the appointment 2 days ago (Friday) morning. Since my husband got home early, i asked if he can drive me over and to try our luck, and so we did.
When i got there, there security guard was a bit rude and immediately assumed im applying for a I-751, but i was being so charming and sweet and pretty much begging in a really really nice way but shes determined to shoo me away, but 1 of the biomet officers heard me and went up to the guard beside me and asked: "Alrite, i heard her begging, what is she beggin about?" And i informed her that i was there for my Biomet appointment for I-485 and I-765 not I-751 and she said, normally they wont do this, but she'll let me slide
I still cannot believe i was able to walk in the same day i got my Appointment Letter
Thank you Lord!
*Btw, the place was deserted, i cannot believe why people have to beg them, if they're not really doing anything and no one to assist?!
-
anybody tried walking in here in Chicago? How did it go?

Hello Everyone! Im an October Filer too
*Goodluck to Us!*
Just got our NOA1 last week, just waiting for our biometrics appointment, hopefully this week
Quick question: Do you really haave to wait for your biometrics appointment letter? Ive been reading cases here that they did walk in for the biomet. can one do that? Thanks!

Thanks Nich-Nick for the reply.
Im looking at my Vaccination sheet right now, almost all of them are checked *not age appropriate* except for the 4 shots i had. There's only 1 check on the completed Series column and the rest are tagged *Insufficient Time Interval* ( for the HPV-w/c i have completed btw, from a diffrent OB, Vacirella and Tdap)
So, is my medical complete or incomplete?
still confused
BTW: i saw, just now that my Measles and Mumps Vaccine is left blank.what does that mean?

And what is a Blanket Waiver?
-
We just had our AOS interview on June 5th. We only submitted a copy of DS3025 from her medical exam for K1. She had not completed all vaccinations (Booster shots for at least 1 weren't possible due to requiring 12 months between shots).
That's because you don't have to COMPLETE a vaccination series, you just have to take the first dose to be able to submit AOS. You're supposed to finish the series on your own.
Meaning, you can just submit the DS-3025 form and not submit the I- 693 anymore if you have received atleast 1 shot for say a 3 series shot?did i get that right?
-
i have been reading this thread and i am still confuse...
can we process the AOS even if my vaccine is not yet completed? I had my vaccination even before i got here such as Tdap,HPV and MMR or should we finish the vaccination then we can process the AOS?
thank you
If you got at least one shot of a series of shots, you can apply for AOS. If there's 3 shots in a series, you don't have to finish three because there could be months of waiting to space the shots out. You just have to have the first one to send in AOS.
So, if you're done with the 1st shot of say, a 3 series shot, then you're good. Meaning, you dont have to send the I-693 anymore? just the DS-3025?

I know ive asked this already, but how complete is Complete as far as medical exam goes?
Heres my case:
I had my medical done back home(Manila) - the shots, physical exam - the works. I was given a copy of my xray result on a cd format and my vaccination worksheet.
Almost all are marked *not age appropriate* and 3 were tagged *Insufficient time interval* and only one was tagged *Complete*
Results says:
*VACCINATION HISTORY INCOMPLETE
- Applicant may be eligible for Blanket Waiver because vaccination not medically apropriate.
So,my question is:
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN THOUGH? Waiver for what? And is my medical complete or not?
Thanks in advance!

But my question is, are you legally required to change it? My signature clearly states my maiden name.

Hi everyone!
Just a question, i recently got married and now about to apply for the AOS. And since they're a bunch of forms that i need to fill out and sign, im not confused about what signature to use.
Should i just stick to my old signature? or should i make/create a new signature, bearing my married name?
Thanks!

HEllo!
I thought you should include 2 affidavit from 2 people stating how they knew about your relationship per the I-751 instructions @ uscis.gov?
