Hi all I had my interview at chennai embassy on nov 20th and the interview was very smooth.

7.15 AM - waited in line outside the embassy.

8am - allowed inside as i had an 8am interview time.

8.15am - my file was checked by a security girl at the entrance and i had to open all sealed envelopes.

8.25am-9am - waited inside till an indian lady at the counter called me.

9am-9.15am- indian lady asked ques and checked all my docs and took my wedding pics and original police certificates.

Ques asked-When you got married?how you met ur hubby?where he works?whn he went to US?when he became a USC?have you travelled outside the US?where how long?Since I was a christian asked If i got married in church and asked for my church weddin certi as well and wedding pics only.Took my right and left hand four fingers print on the machine and then both the thumbs together.

Then gave me a number and asked me to wait till am called for my interview.

10.25am - Called by the American guy for my interview.Took a look at my docs for a long time then asked kinda same ques but not too many.

Ques asked - When you got married?Do you have hubbys naturalization certi?how did he become a USC?(birth etc)Is this 1st marriage for both?love or arranged?how u met?where he worked and currently works?last 6months pay stubbs(i did not have ths)

Asked to submit this as soon as possible and then they will review and send the visa. i had so much of relationship proof and nothing was looked at:(

I am sending this soon hope to get the visa asap after they receive it coz all else went well:)

have u submitted any kind of documents at ur nearest VFS office like original doc. medical report etc..? if not then how u pay ur VFS fee????

i got my interview date for dec.22, it was scheduled by NVC. and got e-mail letter for the same from NVC!! now i want to know that whether the EMBASSY/CONSULATE will also send me any type of for the same or not???

yes u can also do this. otherwise go to DC office or suwidha cender get her birth registered!! (app. 1-3 month long process) or there r agents in the office they will take any thing in between5,000-10,000Rs. and give u birth certificate within one week!!!

i was afraiding that i may get RFE as i send all the doc.(marr.cert. birth cert. etc) as true copies(photocopies) of original doc. being notorized! but GOD IS GREAT!! thanks

They say you should send one complete copy (remember to put your case #)... And make a copy for you and one copy for your SO... I did not include a copy with mine, but was told from others that they will not give back your originals if you do not provide a copy??/ But if you dont mind not getting the originals back at the consulate, you do not have to put a copy in....

it means i just have to send just one complete set of doc.(all certifiedd copies not originals) to nvc??

You send the original 230 form, and 1 set of original and/or certified documents (the official ones) as well as 1 complete xerox set of all papers (f you want the original/certified copies back)...

ok i m sending my original DS-230 form and along with this form i m sending photocopies of each doc. like birth certificate pcc etc. which are attested copies(true copies of originals signed by gazzetted officer) then i have to send just one set!!!
