  1. hi everybody,

i need opinions as im stalling because i cant decide what to do

i'll try and keep this short and sweet.

i didnt know the i-865 existed till last week and im in the middle of my ROC 90days so time is of the essence. im not the first to forget i get that, and i get "just send it" but i have forgotten twice as i have moved twice. 5minutes down the road in 2010 and then back to the original house in late 2011

so should i send them 2 i-865's with the relevant moving dates on them or just the most recent? im worried either way will confuse them, the latter option will just inform them that ive moved to the address that they already have on file!

we did file AR-11's on both moves but i think they go to different departments then the i-856 we were late on those too :bonk:

  2. hi everybody,

that time has come again for more forms and stressing out with the USCIS "yay" :)

the subject of our stress and my questions to you guys comes in the form of a section on the i-751 (part3 #9) that goes:

Have you resided at any other address since you became a permanent resident?

(If "Yes," attach a list of

    all addresses and dates.)

ok now this is where it gets a little complicated, we have moved twice since i got my conditional GC (only 5minutes down the road, my wife wants me to add!). both times i was late in filing the form AR-11 the first time was by about 6 months (i didnt know it had to be done) the second time was only by a matter of maybe a week as their online submission of the form wasn't work so after waiting for a few days for it to start working i just mailed it. it was probably idk a little over a week after the "10 days" it should be sent.

so first off i was worried like other people on here have been about it being late and is it a mistermeaner (which it is) and what they are going to do about it. i mean i assume im right in thinking that they will have a copy of any forms like this in my file and the purpose of including the question on the i-751 is to see if the dates line up?? idk

then as i started reading posts on here (to put my mind at ease!) i started seeing mention of this form i-865 that im starting to get the impression it should have also been sent along with the AR-11 by my wife! now if thats the case then not only were my AR-11's late the i-865's were never sent!! :bonk:

if this is the case and the i-865 is in fact needed when changing address then were in more trouble then i first thought! idk why but i did look at the i-865 when i first sent the AR-11 but i dismissed it thinking because it said sponsor that it was for the person the me and my wife had co-sponsor us as she was bellow the poverty line!! i dont see my wife as a sponsor i suppose.

also i forgot to mention that our leases im sending as evidence are the real give away of the dates not matching up with the sending of the AR-11 now the thought had crossed my mind to change the dates on the two leases we have which would solve the problem of the late AR-11's but that wont help the lack of i-865's and i really don't want to do that.

sorry for the long post and i really appreciate your input so thank you in advance

  3. Tetanus is every 10 years.

Chicken pox they don't vaccinate if you have already had it. For this they would mark VH on the immigration medical. VH means you have history of having it.

MMR only needs to be boosterd if you show a low immunity when you have a titer test done by the doctor.

with the MMR you have to have had three doeses as an adult. i was told by the doctor at Knightsbridge. ive just had to have one more (making three) for my AOS, im still wearing the badaid to prove it :)

  4. Hmm thats weird.. My doctor gave me all the jabs again last year when i told him I was moving to america. Maybe you should try and change doctors and get a second opinion.

I agree try going to a different doctors.when i told my doctor what jabs i needed and that i was going to the US to live he refused to give me any shots (even tho i was overdue for a tetanus and MMR jab). dont worry to much if you think ur missing some because as far as im aware the knightsbridge doctors can administer most of them (for a price), but having some kind of vac's record is important or you will have to have them all again when you get here!! but bare in mind you dont have to have any to come over to the US, but you DO have to have them all by the time you apply for residency. turned out none of that mattered for me as the USCIS lost all my medical record when they transfered my AOS to cali and i had to go and see a civil surgeon.

  5. i have recived a RFE for my AOS application recently stating:

A review of the records indicates that you entered the United states pursuant to a valid k-1 visa and all USCIS records relating to you have been reviewed, but the U.S. department of state medical forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025 and DS-3026 are not in any of those records. therfore a new medical form must be filled out by a civil surgeon and sent to the USCIS.

As a result of that, i have booked an appointment at a local approved civil surgeon for 2moro. my Questions are, Does this mean they have lost my medical forms from my medical in the U.K.??? and are these listed forms things i need to provide to the civil surgeon or are they forms he will have and fill out? all i had to bring to my uk medical were photos! ive never heard of these forms! any experience or advice is very much appreciated

  6. Hi,

As far as I’m aware I do have a valid ESTA travel authorisation as I believe its valid for 2years (please correct me if I wrong about that)and I took it out in February 09 so I should be good, but I can’t check on the site because I’ve lost my Ref. number! But my actual question is do I need one if I have a Valid K1 visa, surely that is already pre approved authorisation? Isn’t it?

Thanks in advance for any responses

  7. Yeah they probably won’t even ask. I had no such questions all they cared about was the affidavit of support. Seriously I know everybody says this but as long as you’ve got everything you need and your forms are in order there really isn’t anything to worry about, me and my fiancé could help but laugh as we left because of all the stressing we had done before hand compared to how easy and stress less the interview experience was. Unless something really isn’t right about you or your forms the interview is just a formality to have your signatures witnessed and if you’ve got an interview date you can consider yourselves approved. i know it makes them sound cold but they dont care about the details of your wedding.

But good luck anyway folks (enven tho. you dont need it :) )

  8. so the evidence of support i was going to take a print out of our savings, my account and her account her pay slips to show what she earns

and a print out of her taxes which is all on her pay slip

also good luck to you to i'll be glad when its all done

Yeah should be fine, if your fiancé meets the 125% above the poverty line requirements. I doubt you will have a problem with whot ya got. although you dont need anything to do with ur finance’s as there not interested, they only care about the USC's / co-sponsor's. unless they are in a joint account (which you both contribute to) if they are separate then they wont consider your money as counting towards her money, if you know what I mean.

  9. So it 4 days till i have my interview and i must say today was the first time it really got to me.

Got a little confused but I guessing when they say they want me to photocopy every thing I have e.g one original and one photocopy for them to keep?

So here's what I have Birth Certificate, Passport, Evidence of support which I can print off and my police certificate they want a photocopy of each?

Sorry for the noob question I really want to get this right. Also for evidence i have chat logs, letters, e-mails, photos, plane ticket stubs, cinema ticket, valentines card and a copy of the wedding invite which has a photo of me and my girl inside.

    I'm I missing anything out ?

Sounds pretty good to me mate, I think you’ve got it covered. You don’t have to copy it but about the only thing you haven’t listed (apart from the appointment letter) is the two passport photo's you need to take. Oh yeah and of course you need to take the copies of the affidavit evidence, pay slips, tax transcripts, and letter from USC's employer etc..

Good luck my friend & I may see you there as my interview is on the same day.

  10. Right, so I have just called, got a code, and emailed them with questions. Will they actually reply? I asked if there were any cancellations, to please move our date forward a week - and otherwise to add my sons name to the list to enter with us since the people meant to be watching him will be away on holiday.

Has anyone that has emailed gotten a reply from the embassy? And if so, how long did you wait to receive one? :)

    Many thanks :)

As you've probably read in the above thread i was unsure as to which email address to send my request to. As i thought i couldn’t hurt i sent it to both (as recommended by others) I almost straight away got a automated response from the main email address (the one i believe you might want) londonconsular@state.gov

And as ive been writing this ive just had a personal response from londonIV@state.gov it couldnt hurt to email them both

  11. haha :) I experienced these three things last week!

    1. I had an Irish lady and ended up spending 20 pounds because I had to have her repeat everything a million times!

    2. The email the extortion line is giving IS londonIV@state.gov, and that IS the email I eventually got a reply from.

    G'luck

Thanks for confirming that ohlpomr. There's only so many times i felt i could ask him to repeat himself without sounding like an idiot or appearing rude  ! Silly mistake on my part really, as it kind of made the call a waste of money. Do you or anyone else know if the code is still good? As it’s been a few days now since I’ve i received it! Also im surprised to hear you got a response the guy told me they wouldn’t.

  12. Not that im aware of, just chill your nearly there. I only took me a just under 2months from the embassy receiving my packet 3 to my interview date. The only way to speed it up (not guaranteed) is to show you have a fixed weeding date/travel arrangements. In some cases they have apparently tried to accommodate them.

  13. Not necessarily.

In some neighborhoods, you're probably better off carrying a gun than not...

Personally, I'm more of a fan of open-carry than I am concealed-carry. I'd much rather know/see that someone is carrying a gun, than it be a surprise.

I agree I believe carrying an openly visible gun serves as a deterrent to anybody who wishes you harm and therefore drastically decreases the chance of having to point it at anybody. and for that reason I intend on carrying a gun in that manner (when legally able) as the job I will be taking involves working in potential dangerous/poor neighbourhoods with 1000's of dollars of expensive and steal able tools, and being confronted by people for variously undesirable reasons.

Many of the workers involved in the same job opt for this measure (and recomend it) as they are often involved in confrontations from unhappy ex-owners and neighbours of repossessed homes. I wish to be able to feel safe when trying to just do my job, I hope and pray that I never am in a situation in which presenting the weapon is necessary. But the simple fact is there are allot of desperate and troubled people out there that carry firearms WITH the willingness to cause harm to people. I would just hope that carrying an openly visible weapon is less likely to lead me into a situation where one is drawn on me.

  14. Hello everybody,

I’ve just spent more money then I wanted to (again! is it me or does it seem that you always have to wait 5minutes!!!! ) phoning the US Embassy (London) asking about my fiancé attending the interview with me as she is flying over that week. just spoke to a nice enough but very serious (and a little hard to understand) Scottish man who told me to email the Embassy and supply my case no# etc. and explain that I wish for her to attend and she would be added to the list. The problem is im not 100% sure I took down the email address right! And I don’t want to waste more money phoning them back up. Has anyone done this recently? Can you confirm the @ddress?

    I wrote it down: londoniv@state.gov

I’d appreciate any confirmation as I presume the code they give you only works once and probably expires after 2day.

    Thanks VJ'ers
