here are the things they might do, just to let you know so you don't get surprise

they will verify all the documents with the issuing authorities(birth certificate death certificate marriage certificate etc.)

they will visit your wife at her home and interview neighbors etc.

i am not making it up, they did these things before specially Delhi embassy

not to disappoint you but i am also going through this and people in New Delhi consulate are horrible

so here are the things they did with my case in new Delhi

1 put on AP

2 after three months called and accused the beneficiary of lying and all kind of other unreasonable things

3 varified most of the documents with issuing authorities

visiting your spouse after marriage is a crucial part of proof, and 22 years difference is also not very common in India,

but gather all the proofs you have, and you should be fine.

and as far as AP goes, it is too broad.It might me internal documents verification to simple name check, but a lot of people are getting AP in India, so its not anything unusual.

sometimes they reaffirm without asking any more documents or proofs. this has happened in many cases

you can e-mail them but usually they have pre written reply and they just copy paste and reply

which says "your case is still pending under AP and we will contact you as soon as we are done bla bla bla

i emailed them few times and i got the same reply each time, then i asked them if they can be more specific and i think whoever replied was nice and they gave me little bit more info but not to my satisfaction

my case is in 221g AP, i am worrying if they return it to USCIS then what kind of documents USCIS ask to REAFFIRM the case???

i just talked to the NVC operator and he was very nice and told me that today is the last day to schedule interview appointments, after today it will be second week of January.

my case was completed December 2nd, i hope they schedule something today, fingers crossed

sign in failed usually happens couple of days before the case is completed

this is usually the reason but there might be other reasons too that i dont know

I called then and talked to the operator. she said they don't have anything yet.does that mean they haven't checked the stack of mails yet

nvc received my DS-230 on Nov 12th but i called them today and they said they don't have anything yet, but i got the return receipt marked as Nov 12. i am really worrying that what if they loose it because there were a lot of original documents

you have to put the current income because it might be different than last years tax papers, but you will need the proof to support your claim

just use the one on passport and birth certificate

there are some cases when you write foreign name in English there are more than one way to

write in English. they understand this, i don't think they will many any deal out of this

but were asked for co-sponsor at the interview time because they were over 60 years of age.

hello to all the special people on this thread. I have just recieved my Noa2. I will be leaving the USA for 3 months to be with my wife in China. How can I or can I prepair documents prior like the 864? or anything else to help move this whole process along for this time period i will be out of the country?
