Just wondering if anyone here has been married or honeymooned in U.S territory outside of the 48 states? Like Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or somewhere like Hawaii? These are all considered part of the U.S.A. but require passports to travel and return from there. If you did, were there any issues coming back through customs when you returned?
Yes it is possible. US territories and possessions are the same as the United States. That is why you never see a Puerto Rico flag on these pages. Just be sure to go directly from the mainland US to these destinations without entering other countries
they are call the lower 48 but Hawaii and Alaska are states that will make it 50 I think and you do not need a passport to travel to puerto rico from Miami it is a national flight

Hello,
I am a new beginner with K-1 process and collecting the documentation to send.
To prove we met in last two years, I wanted to send the copy of my password with stamp. However, my passport was stolen and I didn't keep my boarding pass or copy of plane ticket.
I found my credit card statement showing the travel agency charging the plane tickets and a copy of itinerary email.
Is there any other way to substitute for the passport stamp or boarding pass to prove? I do have the photo's I took with her.
Any advice is appreciated.
it all depends , what airline did you fly with log into there page and see you there is a record of your ticket

By signing up and checking your case status
when you log into the uscis page and case status and the date on the last update has change that is when you know

Hi all,
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been through this, but I need some advice and that's why I post today. I moved to the USA very in love, with so many good expectations and illusions, thinking it would be time for me to build my family with the man I loved.
We're good friends now, but we got divorced this year. After a lot of pain and a long process, we are divorced. We were married for less than 3 years.
I have tried a lot of things in order to continue my life here. College (couldn't afford it), jobs (couldn't keep them for different reasons)... I also had another relationship, a short one, it didn't work. So I feel like I've been pushing and pushing a situation that is definitely not working for me. I don't belong here. I miss my family, my friends, my country (in spite of all the problems there). What the heck am I doing here?
I live alone, in a small studio with my doggy Frida. I told my father today that I want to go back, I cannot deal with this anymore. I know life is tough for everybody, but I cannot let it go to the point that I prefer I was dead. I'm depressed, I don't feel like getting up, I don't know a lot of people, I've gained weight... I could complain all day. However, I have health (thank God), I'm young and I really want to save my life and stablish myself somewhere. But not here.
I don't know what to do with my things (bed, sofa, dressers, dining set, pots & pans, china, silverware, books) in order to move. I'm scared of having to do all this by myself. Anyone has any idea of what would work to get rid of all the things that cannot come with me?
I'm sorry about the venting. I know there are people with much worse problems, but this is what I'm living right now. I cannot take it anymore. Loneliness is killing me.
Thank you for letting me share my feelings.
Cami.
sorry you feel that way but if Iwas you I would not go back to venezuela that is where you are from right , you been here 3 years wait 2 more get your citizenship and then try visiting your country always keep the return open

OK, got it. You have filed 2 K-1's in the past. the 1994 one and the rejected one. Hence, you need to file the waiver. you could make an infopass apointment and go tell them this K-1 is for person #2.
yea you are right before I saw your post I though about it I am writing the letter and I will sent the letter of deniel I do have it and maybe this will clear this up
how do I make this infopass apoinment call then up in the 1 800 number and request what , speak to who
or can I just sent the deniel letter along with explanation as to why it shows 2 aplications in the past
thank you for your help and my hopes are high this is just a bump in the road anyways it taking a lot shorter now at Vermont service center

Easy. USCIS asks you for documents/letters/explanations; you provide them. So provide what they asked for. What you typed does not sound like an RFE though --- they are very explicit on what they request. What does the letter say right on top? Does it say NOTICE OF ACTION or does it say REQUEST FOR FURTHER EVIDENCE?
it is noted in the past that you had file two or more k1 visas in the past a filing waiver is need it there for you are requested to comply with the following
and then it says what I wrote on the top of the page
anyways how do you write a letter like this , just write the reasonns you think it should be waive and thats it

I seem to remember your K-1 application was rejected last time you posted. Did you re-submit? Is this the same application? Please try to provide clear details
yes I re sumited but now I am getting this RFE I file for k1 back in 1994 and was approve , fine I got divorce in 1999 and now I file for this one do I still need a waiver or is there some kind of misstake
-
hi I need some help I file for a k1 and got a RFE because when ask if I file for k1 in the past I put yes but when I see the RFE it stays that
filing limitation waiver imposed limitation on the numbers of petitions a petitioner for k1 non immigrant visa for an alien fiance may file or have approved without seeking a waiver of application of those limitations . if you have file for 2 or more k1 visa at any time in the past or or previusly had a k1 visa approved withing the last two years you must apply for a waiver
this is the problem I file for a k1 visa but this was back in 1994 , 15 years ago this is well out of the 2 years they required
can someone help me with this and if so how do I get a waiver just in case I really need it

hi I am new to this and I think I made a mistake when I file my app
I only sent the application with the check I did not send any other information with it
can some one tell me if I am going to get request for all the other stuff or my application
or my k1 is going to be denied because all the info is missing
PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS
Did you get a receipt from USCIS? Usually a few weeks after sending in the application you get a notice from USCIS that they received the application. If it has been 4 months w/o a receipt and/or cashing your check there is definitely a problem.
no I do have noa 1 I got that 5 days after I file back in december , is been 4 months waiting for eather noa2 or request for papers
-
It happened to my husband, too when he sent it in the first time. He just send in a new one and the old one got rejected. But it depends on how long ago you already filed the petition...we recognized 2 days later and so we just did it and it worked out. But if it is already longer ago you might want to call USCIS and ask. I wouldn't just sit there and wait...this might be a waste of time.
I file on 12/22/08 is been 4 months to the day almost I am just waiting for anything from then asking me for more info that is what it say on the noa1
if they need anything else from me they will let me know I hope
thank you for the replies been helpful so far

if u didn't send any evidence that u met each other within two years then they will request more info from u. have a look at the guide
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide
I seen the guide but that was after I file the application I hope that they request more info from me
the evidence of meeting in person is no problem but the g325 and the passport photos I did not sent any of that
sorry but I dint read the instructions on this I feel so stupid I hope I dint waste 4 months on this and have to file again

just wanted to say congrats !!!!!!!!! , but I have a question when did you file in vsc
cause I file on 12/22/08 and I have yet to get my approval notice and I see here that already jan 2 are been process
is there a gap in the time line for and approval notice from process to notice or do some app take longer to process
After my fiance got his k-1 visas in Nov. he went purchase a ticket using that visa to go to a different country instead of coming here to the USA
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

lots of countries do this will will not give you a visa but if us gives you a visa they will give you one this happens a lot in caribbean , the reason for this is they don't want to go to the process of security and they figure if us gives you one they are ok giving you one
