  1. I am the sole sponsor for my wife on this form. My question pertains to page 1, part 3, question(s) 8/9. I have checked the box saying "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above". But underneath it is 2 more boxes. One says simply "Yes". The other says "No (Applicable only in cases with two joint sponsors)". I have no idea what this means ... I am confused. Do I need to check either of these boxes? Obviouslly it would be "Yes" box? Or just leave them be?

    Thanks, Appaullo

  2. Nothing new for me since last friday. One thing that irks me is after I got NOA1 I noticed some people on CFL were getting NOA2 very quickly, so I set about getting my employment letter from my HR woman at work ... let me tell you, it was no easy task. It took 3 days worth of eating my lunch while making the long walk from my job to the front offices. Finally on the third day she told me "Stop by on your way out today, I'll have it waiting for you." I stopped by on my out the door and sure enough ... she said with a half smile "One sec while I type it up!" Gggrrr. Anyways, its dated May because I thought NOA2 would be quicker than it is. I am wondering if I will need to get another one? A more recent letter?

  3. OK ... I apologize for the negativity of my last post. Like you said yesterday, Beth, I'm just frustrated. There are people who have been waiting longer than I. I will focus on the only bright spot of these calls, I was assured that there is no problem with my petition that is causing its slow processing. That is something. And, yes, I will call back tomorrow.

Chin up all. This is just the odds testing us (all of us here) to see if we are strong enough. And I've a feeling we ARE strong enough!! Also, on the 27th of this month I leave for China ... taking my Mother to meet the other half of the family (provided we dont wind up quarantined ... China is going way overboard in their precautions in regard to the new flu virus). So I have a positive to keep my spirits up for a while. Remind me of this if I post negatively again!!

Thanks for the support all, and thanks Beth for this thread. I know I said it yesterday, but it lifted a great deal of angst off of me to know I wasnt the only one being processed slowly.

  4. Called 3 times. First man told me my petition was in normal processing times and hung up on me. The second woman told me to redial and punch in the numbers to say I had lost my reciept number. I did this and the next woman I talked to told me they were processing etitions from November 2008 and so I had to be patient. When I told her I knew of people who filed in April of 2009 at CSC she informed me that she cannot comment on what people I have never actually met tell me about their petition timelines. So ... all in all ... 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

    Swing and a miss.

  5. Beth? Paris-heart? Not sure how to address you

In any event, I just a few minutes ago started a thread on this topic in another area. It lifts my heart to see I'm not alone at CSC, but tears my heart back down to see so many people being left in limbo by our Government employees. In any event, I have read the first 5 pages of this thread then for times sake jumped here to the end. A mention is made of calling CSC and hitting 1, then 2, then 3 to get a rep. Is this the phone number that is listed on the NOA1? I ask because I would love to call and talk to someone, but the one time I tried the number it informed me I could only talk to a live rep if I were changing my address. So if this is a different number, can you please list it for me? Everyday at work I use my phone to check my e-mail on every break (stupid thing to do I know, I'm stressing myself out). And every day (excepting weekends of course) I check the USCIS page to see if my status has changed. At this point I would slump down in drooling glee if my status got 'touched'. But I do not believe it has yet. I mentioned in my other post that from looking at VJTimelines it seems like a small wondow from the end of March to the start of April is just sitting and not moving. Petitions before and after these dates are all getting NOA2s and I am starting to wonder if there is a problem with mine. Sorry I am rambling.

  6. I recieved my NOA1 on March 23 and to date have not recieved my NOA2. I notice other timelines for CSC have recieved theirs in less time than me. I also notice a few people who are in my case, they recieved NOA1 in late March and are still waiting for NOA2. I am curious ... is this a case of a stack of papers on someones desk perhaps not being looked at? Or are we all being overly scrutinized for some reason? The only thing the cases I mention have in common with me is CR1 petition at CSC.

Appreciate any replies as I am climbing the walls here in stress.

  7. Hi all ...

New to posting, but have been lurking for some time. My question is :

I notice a couple of other petitioners filed around the same time as I have. I notice that 2 of them at least have gotten NOA2 from CSC within a month of NOA1. I still do not have NOA2. I am curious if I made an error by *not* sending in an I-129F after receiving NOA1. The reason for not sending it in is my wife and I would like CR1. I know I should get used to waiting, but after sending my I-130 in I was looking at timelines here and at CFL and I thought "Oh, good ... it looks like I should get my NOA2 in a month. Well now I am begining to wonder if they are waiting on my I-129F? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
