  1. ...

    Thanks for the update, Mike

I got my air ticket to Guangzhou today, I will be join the ACH on Monday on the 7th, before my wife's interview on the 10th.

    David L.

If you meant September 7, there would be a little problem: it's Labor Day. The Consulate observes American and Chinese holidays, so I expect it to be closed on that Monday.

Right, no ACH on Labor Day.

Thank you, Guys. I get a lot of info from VJ'ers

Just got e-mail reply from GUZ......no ACH for that week.

And my time off to China is set, maybe I will be lucky to meet some people at the coffee shop....ha ha.

  4. Hi, Mike

I wish........I can only say....smaller package might get it's STAMP quicker.

But, unless consulate ready to pickup the packages and work on them........we are all in the same boat now.

    David

My wife's sister's case also cleared NVC May 6. This morning they confirm the case status change from loaded to open shows a July 11 date but no interview has been scheduled.

If you speak to Hans at DOS, you might want to hang up and call back again. He told me the case open date was April 28. When I tried to get clarification on that, explaining the case was not yet complete at NVC on that date, he hung up on me.

I also will not speak to this guy. he may be helpful for other consulates but he seems to not want to help in China. I found that "Kay" is nice but firm and doesn't let you ask questions unless you know 1 2 3 4 5 exact to the point, or she says "thank you sir" and hangs up. When the interview datew is set doesn't matter who we talk to I imagine it will show up on the computer

    Hi, Guys

Guess what? My case was "loaded" as yesterday!

I just call DOS......and Hans aswered.

He said "case is "open" waiting for interview date.........., anything I can help you with?"

    Mike...did you call today?

    David L.

  5. Hi, Yu and Dan

Thank you for your info, I just called NVC, was told that my case went to China the next day after it was completed. I also have ask if it was transfer by electronic method, the operator respond "yes, it is."

I "guess" ..... if my wife get lucky, we might receive PK4 in a month?

I will check out the website you recommand.....

    Again, thank you.

    David Lee

    1) YES by calling NVC at 603-334-0700, also if the SHIPPED the case to China, and did not use the new electronic method of transfer, the case WILL get stuck in customs for up to 3 months.

    2) Call DOS visa services at 202-663-1225

    http://travel.state.gov/about/info/info_308.html#visa

NOTE: Guangzhou is a tough consulate, you are best advised to join and study all you can on "A Candle for Love" http://candleforlove.com

  6. Hi, everyone

being trying to login on the NVC site few times.....it always says my case is has no further processing.....

So, I called NVC last night, guess what? The operator told me both my cases are completed, now is "waiting" to forward to the US consular at GUZ, China.

Have study the forums here, but have no ideas how long is going to take for the case to reach China and how long my wife and kid will know their interview date.

wish everyone here luck and smooth in their process.

Now I am getting close to the end with better understanding of the process, love to share my experience with people who just started.

    David L.

  8. First....thank you for your wealth information.

Like I said in my first post....I am US Citizen and Pay my tax for the past 23 years....I have social security statement for more than 40 quarters.

does this mean my wife (this is my second marriage, and we register in China) qualify for I-864W? it seems to me the form is for her to file? not me?

for the child....I am the step father. which I have full custody. is he also qualify for I-864W?

    My status:

    I-130 approved

    AOS Paid

    IV Paid

DS-230 and support civil documents mailed last week.

    Again...thank for your help.

  9. Hi,

I have been reading here for sometimes now, this is my first post. Thanks for reading.

I have a question about I864W, see if any one knows about it.

I am US Citizen and paying my tax for the last 23 years, I am also the petitioner for my wife and one child in China.

the way I-864W seems is for my wife to fill out? or I have been filling out too much form, so I am confused?

If you have actual experience.....please help!

    Thanks....if any one can help.

    David

Are you trying to have your wife or child to be exempt for the affidavit of support?

Yes, Can I do both? or I can't?
