    Welcome to KY! My fiancee' (now Asawa) has been here 1 month and 1 week.. she DOES NOT LIKE THE COLD hehe but she is doing Ok... she has found some of the food not to her liking but we have found enuff filipino food to make it tolerable for her...

    Enjoy life!, dont worry about the cold it will warm up soon!

    If you get any cravings plz ask coz we have found alot of good foods... we even found Durian! lol

    GUYS, I DONT KNOW WHAT A SENATOR IS? CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME THIS? SO I CAN TELL MY FIANCE ABOUT CALLING THE SENATOR.

    just ask your fiance' to contact his U.S. senator or congressman.. He will know who they are or he can find out easy enough..

    You dont need to know who they are really.. but a senator or congressman is an elected official that is a lawmaker in the US..

    Dont worry.. If you just maintain telling the truth and supply them with all the docs that they might request then there should be no problem... and even if you do get denied there is still an appeal process so dont give up hope!

    Hi,good day to all.I am new to this site but its ok..Im here to ask any opinions or any informations about getting a k-1 visa,but i dont know what to do first.Do i need to get my trascript of record in my college school?How long will it takes of getting the k1 visa?What kind of questions they are going to ask you in your interview?pls i need some person to help me getting some informations about this process.THANK YOU.

    Welcome to VJ!!!! and it is a great site...

    My fiancee' has just arrived in the states and we did get our visa with out an attorney and mostly made it thru the process with Info learned from this site!

    The best advice I can give is to go to the guides and READ.. then when you find details that are still unclear or unresolved by the guides then post specific questions... And keep in mind that there are things in the process that are consulate specific... i.e. procedures in Manila may be different that in japan or vietnam.. so also read up on your consulate!...

    Well Based solely upon the smiles on my Danes face everyday so far I am thinking that she is very happy... I know that there is a permanent smile plastered on mine hehe She is wonderful and life is great...

    VJers have been great help and I will try to be helpful as well!..

    Shiela, So how did your first meeting with the parents go?... Dane wont meet mine until the day before our wedding...I know she will be nervous...

    well how much of a coincidence! you lived about the same distance From My Dane in the phils (she is from close to malaybalay) as you will be here in the states!

    thats great! she is there now?

    She will fly the same as you to detroit.. but from detroit to lexington KY.. But I am flying to detroit in the morning to meet her there! we will have about 5 hours layover in detroit then on to home!

    my husband is in augusta kentucky, he going to meet me at SF or LA, depend on what flight i can get after i will get my visa...still looking for someone who can be my companion in a long flight :D

    wow thats only 2 hours from where I live!
