Yesterday around 12:30 I received a text and e-mail that my EAD had been approved and Card Production had been ordered.

Two hours later. I get the same text and e-mail for my Green Card. I was expecting the EAD about this time but the Green Card blew my mind.

Needless to say my wife is very excited. She is ready to start working and earn some money for Christmas.

Are you going to be in Lima for 6 months? Or are you guys headed stateside on Jan 7th? LOL! I hope you guys have a great New Year as well!

I am only going to be in Lima for 10 days. We are headed back to Mississippi on Jan 7. We are getting married on Feb 18.

I leave Sunday to go get Mila and spend New Years in Lima. We will return to the states together on June 7.

You are right, this wait has seemed longer than any of the processes so far. I leave for Lima on Dec 27 to pick up Mila and it seems the days are getting longer and longer.

But it will be worth it. Only a few more weeks and we will be together forever.

Mila just past her interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She said everything went well. She said she was a little nervous. They asked several questions but they were easy and

the interviewers were nice. I can't wait to talk to her tonight and get all the details.

She is very happy. Now I can go visit her at Christmas and bring her home with me on January 3.

It's a wonderful feeling. I don't think I will be able to work the rest of the day.

Mila has her Interview tomorrow. She is calm as can be. I'm the one getting nervous. I guess it's because I won't be there. It's the same feeling as when I mailed the I-129 in. Did I remember to send her everything she needs? haha. I'm sure everything will be fine. It's just hard not being there. Hopefully it will be a great Christmas.

Thanks so much everyone. This morning was a little rough..the USPS was going to launch and investigation to find the package and i became panic stricken and then within the hour Cesar receieved the package. What sigh of relief....I think someone was testing us!!!

I sent a package a few months ago to Lima using normal delivery with the USPS and it took 12 days. You should be ok. They will probably get it in the next day or so.

The phone call yesterday was the end of the investigation... They sent it out today and I expect an interview around Christmas... if its before Christmas then there is a slim chance she will be here for the new year...

i have another concern with my K1 application. i'm worried that they might think my pictures were not taken within 2 yrs of meeting my fiance. what happened was i was so happy to be with my fiance that i didn't even think of setting my digital cam to have dates on the pictures we were taking. it totally slipped my mind. and now i'm concerned that this might be a problem. all i did was i wrote the dates on the back of the pictures. is anyone in the same situation as i am or has someone gone through the same situation? help =(

I didn't have dates on my pictures either. I just wrote on the back of the picture the date and where we were at. We had no problems at all.

Mila finally received her packet in the Mail today!!!!!! I was getting worried.

She was just about to call the embassy when it got delivered. Her interview is November 6.

Now she is getting nervous for the first time.

Just called NVC and they said I am out of Additional Processing. My package is being sent to the Lima Embassy today. That was more nerve wracking than the wait for the NOA2. Knowing that I had been approved and still having to wait. Good luck to everyone else.

Can someone tell me whats the difference between packet 3 and packet 4?

Here in Australia Packet 3 contains all the information the consulate wants from the beneficiary, packet 4 is the interview date and other information

It's the same in Egypt I guess.

I'm in the same boat. I was one of the first June's approved and I'm still stuck at the NVC in AP.

Just got back from Lima and the first thing I do is call NVC. They tell me I am still in AP. They received my case on Sept 15. I am a little concerned because I've been catching up on the forum and see most everyone going through the NVC in about 5 days. I was hoping the embassy would have received her case when I was there visiting. Oh well, I guess I will have to start calling NVC everyday.

I just got approved for my NOA2!!!!!!!! I can't believe it. And what is even better. I am leaving for Lima, Peru in 5 days. This will be a great celebration. It will also help us prepare for her interview.
