She did not aks for any evidence specifically. She just asked what else we have to show her other than whatever in their system. Yes, we did included our last 3-year tax returns.

We had recent photoes, recent bank statements, letters from friends, the house purchurse contract.

Our interview is in 6 weeks. Did you include any utilities? We are working on more evidence.

NO we did not ever have one. But i guess that will help!

Hi folks,

I just had my interview today. It took us only ~20 minutes. Everything went well and the officer was really nice lady. She first went through I-485 with both of us and then asked some questions about how we first met. She also asked when my husband moved to AZ.

I want to share some experience wth all the couples that are still waiting for interview.

(1) be well-prepared. Collect the evidence as much as you can. At the end of the questioning, she asked us if we have anything else to show her. We were well-prepared and showed her all the stuff such as letters from friends (which she read one by one), the house purchase contract, our joint bank accounts statements, photoes, health insurance ect..

(2) practise some questions such as how you met for the first time and how did you spend the previous day ect. It will help with wording, calming down ect..

(3) do not be superstitious. One of our car tires broke ~2 miles before we got USCIS office, I was very nervous about it but it turned out to be fine..

Anyway, i just got an e-mail from USCIS saying that the card production ordered... very happy about that!

This process went really fast. It only about 2.5 months from NOA1 to today. So I wish everyone good luck!!!

I applied for SSN today. I got out in about 30 mins. All they asked was my EAD card and my passport. They did not ask for anything else. They only looked at the identity page of my passport.

Hi Everyone, I just want to update my status here again. I have got my AP and EAD in the mail today. I am preparing and waiting for my interview on June 10th now.

Hi Tommy&Emma, so after seeing my status online i went and registered in the USCIS profile area and updated with my receipt number. So do they send you an email after u have registered online ? Thanks

Yes, i did register for e-mail notice and I got an e-mail from them comfirming it. I also jsut found out they approved my AP and sent it out three days ago. I bet yours is coming on the way too.

After reading Anslesis post at midnight, i went and checked my online status and saw the I-765 case showing online and Card production ordered. Yayyyy !!! I-130 & I-485 is as usual not available onbline. Anslesis you must be lucky for me .... Now any idea how long it takes to reach you after you see the online status of the EAD ??

Hopefully i will get the interview letter soon too !! Thank God !!

I got the e-mail from USCIS saying that my EAD card is on the way too. I am so relieved too. It seems like it goes really fast for everyone, which is a good thing!

Thank you, yours must be on the way too; as we see, is like no logic in this AOS process. I was thinking being from Vermont , being a small state they moved faster, but also in San Diego and Phoenix, they moved fast too. So who knows why.

Thanks! Everyone! I did not expect it would move so fast either. I did not even have my EAD and AP yet.

What gets me nervous is that Tommy and I are normally not living together. He started his business in China after we got married and I am still studying for my degrees in US. He comes to see me several times a year. We do have joint tax return, joint accounts. I do not know what else I can provide to say: we are real married. We ahve been married for 4 years now.

i just received the letter for initial interview on June 10th. Kind of scrared when it is so fast.

My timetable:

03/27/09 NOA for I-485, I 131, I 130 and I765.

04/18/09 Biometrix done

04/30/09 NOA for initial interview... Scared and nervous now

I just got a letter from USCIS asking me and my husband to do an initial interview at pheonix local office. Anyone know waht this initial interview is for?

I know nothing about this. Is there going to be another one?

We just received our MSC number today for I-485 & Employment Authorization, is there any way we can check online for the status? When I check on USCIS it says the case does not exist?..

Anyway, i wish good luck to every one of us! I am waiting for my NOA2 too. Just got biometrix done on 04/18/09 in Pheonix. I can see my I-765 and I-485 right after the biometrix done. But I can not even check I-130 or I-131. Anyone knows why? The receipt numbers all started MSC.
