  1. Thanks everyone for all the info... We got our answer from the US Embassy Call Center in the Philippines last night. It took awhile to get all the info regarding about the AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT. Since the original form is in the ARCHIVES and can no longer be pulled out, all is needed is a new form with a signature...I had the form signed and shipped via FEDEX this morning to the Philippines. It will be in the Philippines this Wednesday, God willing our daughter should be with us before xmas.

  2. I suggest a brand new I-864 packet - perhaps consisting of a copy of the original one, then the supporting documents.

Seriously, I thought since is two I-130 petitions, must have totally seperate NVC document set also.

Thanks... but where should we apply? Our case is already done at NVC, NVC no longer have our case. Does this mean we have to start all over again?

  3. Hello again. My daughter had her interview today at the US Embassy in the Philippines, after failing her medical test in August. Everything went well today except for one item, the AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT. When I applied for the I-864, it was stated that it covered the whole family. And the US EMBASSY and the Counselor knew this, but apparent since the original copy is stored in the archives, they can no longer pull the documents out. And my daughter was told that a NEW I-864 is needed. My wife and I checked the form and this was stated]Often a spouse or minor children obtain visas or adjust statusas dependents of a relative, based on the same visa petition. Ifyou are sponsoring such dependents, you only need to providea photocopy of the original Form I-864, as long as thesedependents are immigrating at the same time as the principalimmigrant or within six months of the time he or sheimmigrates to the United States. You do not need to providecopies of the supporting documents for each of thephotocopied Forms I-864[/font]..What step should we take, please help!! Thanks for taking the time and reading our concern...God Bless

Virgin shang! kumusta naman weather dyan? uy anuber! wala nga kaming "life" ni hubby lately, super busy kasi, yung demo tape ko pala naconfiscate sa airport! contraband daw hehehe, gagawa na lang ulit ako ng bago....alam mo ba, yung mga fil-ams dito heard jamie talk, sabi ba naman sakin, "uy ang galing, your kid speak fluent english, parang taga-rito na, kala ko they don't speak english at all" and i have to tell them kasi po they all go to international schools and i bet you mas advanced pa sila sa mga ka-age nila dito, hay maliitin ba ang education system natin sa pinas hehehe

cuzin mariel, grabe talaga yung dream ko sayo, very vivid, alam mo kung sino ang killer mo? yung hubby mo raw! hehehe, he came home daw kasi he found out you were married pala to another guy sa pinas, so ayun chinop-chop ka nya at nilagay sa maleta! naman cuzin, mag-ingat ka pag nandito ka na sa esteyts ha! lipat ka na lang kasi dito sa cali, may extra room pa kami...

auiee, ingat sa trip, finally NJ, here comes auiie! miss ko na kayong ka-chat at ka-conference chat! super hectic kasi ng sched namin, alam mo na, courtesy call sa mga kamag-anak incorporated at dinner invitations sa mga fil-ams, hopefully in a week's time magsettle din kami.

pink! kakatuwa naman update mo! sad to hear about baby's kidney condition though, leave it all to God, sis, He is still the greatest healer of all time :), may konting jetlag pa rin, 1 week pa lang naman kami, i hope next week adjusted na kami.

si lyn ba yung nag-ask kung saan ako sa cali? nasa elk grove kami, a city in sacramento, medyo bandang north, kaya medyo malamig at malayo sa earthquake at wild fire :D your place is about 2-3hrs away yata from us, parang manila-pangasinan hehehe

Sa sobrang yaman mo,at dahil may driver ka...tulog ka for the first 3hours..tapos nagising ka nlang with the remaining 2-3hours ng roadtrip nyo...lol

Yup, nachange na ni jig ang address namin, thanks cuz! and yes we have extra room for you plus the game room and media room is open too! hehehe, wala lang nga akong lamborghini katulad ng rich na tao dito sa Philippine forum

uy, hindi exagge yan, i once drove from tomas morato to binalonan, pangasinan in 2 1/2 hrs flat, minimum speed at 100, max at 140kph, about 8 yrs ago, back then when i was young and restless hehehe, ginawa ko yan though at 1am so buses lang talaga kasabay ko, plus hindi ko na ulit kayang gawin yan ngayon, my reflexes has admittedly gotten slow, i drive like a grandma na hehehe :D, jig can also take manila-pangasinan in 3hrs, magaling na driver yun, tsaka 20/20 pa ang vision, unlike me 175/250. Jig's family is from pangasinan kasi kaya memorized namin ang road.

  7. Hello guys! Just need an answer about who to call regarding a change of address? We just recently moved and i want and i want to make sure that my wifey and the kids receive their SSN and green card. Thanks! Have a nice weekend! :)

USCIS.gov website will give you information on how to contact them re change of address. P.S. You should go to a local Social Security Card office and apply in person; take with you your passport with immigration visa if you do not have your GC yet and your birth certificate. I was waiting on my SSC in the mail and it was taking forever, so I went to the office and apply; in less than a week it arrived in the mail.

    Thanks for the info...

Hi Jig! Im glad you arrived safe.....

Hmmm......I think there is a form, correct me if I'm wrong AR-11 adn I-865 to change address. You can look over the internet if you want.....

Hello Sis! All doing well here, wifey and the kids are still adjusting. Any news about your papers? Do you have an interview date yet?

If you ever have to move to the new address, after filling of the AOS application, you need to inform USCIS by submitting AR-11 Form. You can do that online on this website

    https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa

US citizen doesn't have to fill out AR-11 form but the other one USCIS has on its website.

  10. Glad to have St. Lukes over with!

    Hubby posting here...

She started yesterday 8/27 about 7:30am and Zipped through the whole thing, finished at 12:30pm minus the Vaccinations. She returned Today 8/28 at 9:00 am for her vaccinations. Another hour and a half wait, she turned in her passport, and we were out of there with the X-RAY CD for the USA and copy of vaccinations record by 11:30am. A total of 6.5 hours. Not to bad. They wanted to reschedule us next week for the Vaccinations because our interview is not until 22nd but when she told them she's not from Manila they gave her a 9:00am today.

Also they let me stay and wait with her after the Vaccinations.

We were a little concerned because she had a headache and a small cough and we thought that might interfere in some way, but no additional tests required! Thanks to God for getting us through this step.

Congrats! I just knew how it feels to wait that long in that place...God Bless!!

  12. Hi everyone!!!! I couldn't remember my password and I left my laptop in the Manila, so i'm hijacking hubby's account hehehe...

Kumusta na kayong lahat? bakit ang tahimik dito? It has been a crazy week for me, it's our 2nd day here in cali, and everyone just wants to fly back to manila! worse, i got sick pa, kaya di ako nakaka-VJ, i'm thinking this is just a phase...soon the kids will adjust too.... hubby is the only ray of light so far, he's been taking care of us like what he promised my family, we're still jet-laggedbut somehow managed to squeeze in a little sight seeing here and there..... ,

anu na balita kay shangers? auiee? mariel? pink? D?, felb? maya? sino pa ba? report naman kayo!

    Mrs. Cage here pala..... hehehe

  13. You can if you want it sooner.

I've requested mine on DS-230, but went to a local SSA to apply for mine a few days after I entered the US because I needed it for some paperwork.

It usually arrive within a 3 weeks after your arrival... If you don't hear a thing after 3 weeks, i suggest you call the SSN office. I was told not to apply for the SSN upon arrival. God Bless!!

  14. Thank you for all the responses. As things grow nearer I look forward to more info and all of us getting our loved ones here.

By "baby" I mean my fiance, Diana, I call her my baby, honey, sweetie, etc. Sorry for any confusion.

    Got it

  15. Got a PINK Slip today (A good one from the Embassy),,, 132 days... For a CR1...

We got to the embassy at 7:10AM, we got our number around 7:15am. (Interview schedule was 8:30am).

7:30am , She was called for finger scanning.

She was pre-screened first about 8:00am. Questions asked were: (1) Her Name; (2) Her DOB; (3) How we came to know each other; (4) His first visit; (5) Date of Marriage; (6) His Previous Marriage(s) (7) When he arrived for this visit (8) asked for our marriage PICs (9) Commented about our marriage being done during our first meeting. (10) Asked for other PICs and W2. We gave her other PICs (she asked if we had PIC of wife signing marriage cert. We didn't just husband. She was shown our copy of I-864 which had W2 for 2008. she then found that paper in her file) The interviewer said,,, ok. She was asked to sign the Part 2 of DS230. No additional papers requested. Then we were asked to sit down. Took about 10 minutes

Our number was up for final interview at 10:30am went inside about 10:40am

Consul was young and he was all business. I carried in the paperwork and asked Consul if he would like me to stay or leave. He aked if I was the husband. I said, "Yes" and her told me to have a seat. He asked her, DOB, Name, If she have been outside the countryand if she had a previous child She said 'No'. And, then I got all of the questions,, About my past marriage and if children, etc. Nothing about bonafide marriage. He gave back the PICs we gave the 1st interviewer and said, Visa Approved.

We asked if we could pick up the visa, he said "They only allow delivery via Air21". He said it will be delived within the week or early next week.

Went to releasing window 37, the girl gave me a pink slip. And we asked for pick up, she said "Only Air21".

Paid for the Air21 courier service (to hotel in Manila 205p). Left Embassy at 11am.

PS... Thanks TNGirl,,, I copied your message format....

Way to go Douglas! Congrats!!   We're on a roll... let's keep collecting those pink slips!!

  16. Our case will probably be at the USEM this coming week. What concerns me now is that, my Israel police clearance will take at least 6 weeks (I need to have a letter from the USEM before I can go to the Embassy of Israel to secure a police clearance), they said they will be the one to forward it to the USEM once it is here in Manila.

Should we set an interview date after 6 weeks or can we schedule it even without my police clearance from Israel? I don't want to wait that long.

Will be waiting for your replies. Thanks.

I think you're better off waiting for that clearance. Just play it safe. Think about it, what would happen if that clearance didn't arrive after 6 weeks and you already have the interview date set? God Bless!

  17. What's the lowdown on this airline. I want to put my baby on the direct from MNL to LAX? Will I have issues.

Note that I am here in the states so I WON'T BE THERE

I'll get her a copy of my CC and drivers license.

If she prints out the eticket or goes up with the conf. # will there be issues?

Have any of you flown them over here? Any experiences?

    Thanks.

How old is your baby and who a accompany her to the US? The only issue you will have is that she will need a clearance from DSW or DFA to fly to the US if the parent can't accompany her.
