#11. What is the economic system in the United States? is the answer Capitalist or Market economy. when I read the paragraph it says the US is a capialist economy.. but the paragraph also talks about a market economy.

#14. what stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful? is the answer both checks and balances and separation of powers... are u guys picking one or both?

#85. What did Martin Luther King.Jr do?.. fought for civil rights and worked for equality for all americans... both answers are pretty similar.. once again are you guys memorizing both answers or just one if they ask you that question.

Hey Everyone,

Well good news.. strangely enough today I recieved the interview (email). I wasn't really stressing it due to the fact that the interview letter should've been on it's way based on the "case updates".. but I was still a little considered.... that they hadn't sent the email about my interview when my case got updated. Well I'am a little more relaxed!.. now I just have to wait for this letter in the mail. Hopefully sometime this week.. due to my case being transferred to a field office a week ago.

Well I'm gald to see everybody is processing and moving along pretty smoothly. Good luck.. and let's keep the updates going!

I have been signed up for email alert's from the very beginning. I recieved the first email when it came to my biometrics...;however, for the interview I never recieved the email alert. I know they sent my case for interview on Oct 25th, because I was checking the "case updates" everyday and that's when it was updated saying it was transferred for a interview.

AHHH I hate the wait and I haven't recieved the interview letter as of yet. I'm hoping it comes in the mail sometime next week.

Just wanted to update everybody on my case.. b/c i've been MIA for a well. So everybody please your fingers crossed!

I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes even the people who do know about the process... still don't think it's a big deal. They dont understand how much the whole process takes an emontional, mental, and physical toll on the person.

Nobody would understand unless they go through the process themselves.... . But yeah take the time to relax and get your life some what back to normal... now that you have the interview date.

YAY!!.. Our first applicant with an interview date. Thatt's GREAT Maryces!! I'm soo happy for you. So at least the running to the mailbox wait is over!!.. which I think is the worst part. I think once you have a date.. you can relax more and just prepare yourself for when the time comes.

No problem..I'm here anytime. I definitely understand the not wanting to waste anymore time and money..It's stressfull enough having to deal with the moving and everything. Once again I'm in the same boat. I submitted mines in September and I was determined to stay until the whole process was finished...

But your free to go with whatever will make things easier for you. The only reason why I advised to avoid moving in the middle of the process is, because I've had issues with Uscis not updating my address correctly in the past. I had them send several of my correspondence to my old address when I first moved here.

I know everybody's case is different and not everybody runs with the same luck.. but I feel like its better to keep the process as simple as possible.

If you don't mind me asking where in Cali will you guys be stationed at??.. I'm just curious because like i mentioned before we will also be moving in the begining of next year and i want to see if you will be moving in the same area.

I've been studying the book and I'm freaking out a little bit about the test.

I know that this may sound like a dumb question but....I'm going crazy!

I have a question?? For the question's in the book that say name two of whatever their asking you for... do you have to only memorize two of the answers from the list of anwsers for that question.

I feel your pain and concern. I was actually in almost the same situation your are in about two months ago. We are a military family as well and will be relocating to California at the end of this year or begining of next year. So i was kinda worried my whole process woulldn't be finished in time. The processing time for the Norfolk DO seems to be around 4 months in total.. so i submitted mines last month anyways and should be done just before we leave. In my opinion I don't think submitting your application in VA and then leaving in the middle of it to CA is a good idea. I think it will actually cause more headache then good... because they will have to transfer your file and you will have to update your address, which sometimes is not always updated correctly and your run the chance of having some of your mail still going to the old address.

As far as your issue about your legal name on your GC.. If i were you I would make an info pass and ask an IO for some help on what to do. I don't know what to advice you on that.

I don't think it's nothing to worry about... I've also seen may VJer's who have recieved a RFE Email not RFE Letter and it was just a sign that their biometrics notice was being mailed.

I also signed up for email alarts and recieved an RFE email that looks identical to yours. The email was also sent on the same day Septemeber 22... I think the email is more of a generic thing then anything else.

I agree with Haole... I didn't oooveer send but I diffinitely.. sent stuff like:

lease agreement's, car insurance, bank statements,... etc. The rest I will take with me to the interview...My package was pretty thick thought.

Do what feels right to you and your case.... as you can see everybody submits things a little differently here.

I have a question.. I'm not sure where to send my package???

Based on the state I live in I'm designated to the Texas Lock box; however, I'm a military spouse and on the Naturalization guide it states in Bold Letters to send it to Nebraska if your spouse ( i can't remeber what page it was on exactly.. but it states it in BOLD LETTERS)

I don't qualify for any expedited processing under the 319 rule... but I was just wondering if anybody has sent their application to the nebraska center as a regular military spouse for REGULAR processing???

Once again I'm not applying as a military spouse under the 319 rule... just as a military spouse wanting regular processing for my application.

Here is a link to some pictures. You will need a two hole punch as well, and I had to make my own dividers as bottom tab dividers are hard to find. Try to find a small (individually owned) print shop, they will usually sell acco clips a few at a time instead of a box of 50.
