Hi Wally... my used TAM to travel from Imperatriz, Maranhao to Rio... then we used Decolar.com to fly from Sao Paulo (Guarulhos) to Phoenix, Arizona.

Decolar had the best price I could find online..Hope this helps...let me know

IS THE HUSBAND REQUIRED TO BE AT THE INTERVIEW FOR HER VISA APPLICATION

Hi... I was in the same situation... living here in the USA and my wifein Maranhao, Brasil...you are not required to be there for the Interview, I was not there...she got approved with no problems at all.. only 3 simple questions ( wrote a small Embassy review)

I just wrote the NVC number with a black pen on the top- right corner of all our documents...I said to my self that if I needed, I could always get new ones...I just did not want to give NVC any excuse to delay the process any longer.

I just talked to my wife and she got her and our two kids visas APPROVED!!!!!

I have a question: I took a passport picture to apply for my K 1 visa but on this picture I dont show my ears, I have long hair and I just put my hair on the back. Will that be a problem? Do we have to show the ears to send USCIS our I129F?

I am so worried! I already got my NOA 1, but I dont know if they will ask me for REF.

Hi Caty!!

Celia has very long hair (which I very much love!! )...and on her pictures for the visa, she was only showing her ears partially, you can only see the lower part of her ears on the pictures, and we had no problems...so I will pray that you have no problems either :-)

Hi JoshGriga...My wife and I communicated with the Embassy in Rio via email ImmigrationRio@state.gov

they have been very quick to responde to all of our questions..(1-2days)..once the NVC sent our files to Rio, all questions we had, had to be directed to the embassy in Rio

Hi... I got all my correspondance via email from NVC, that way I can reprint anything that they sent me.

I am wondering if you are only notified by mail of your interview date or do they confirm with an email as well???? My finace isn't getting his stuff in the mail so I am worried about not getting the interview date in the mail on time.

Hi... In our case.. I got an email with the interview date letter attached to it... I then forwared it to my wife in Brazil.

I was told the NVC looks at your W-2, not at your month to month paychecks...I might be wrong, but in my case I sent copies of my paychecks for the last 6 months and copies of my taxes and W-2's for the last three years.

This is our situation: this last monday, we got an email saying that my wife has been schedule for her interview on March 1st at Rio De Janeiro...on tuesday, we got two email requesting us to send original or certified copy for both of our kids (we already sent them months ago!! )...my question is, can they expedite my kids cases and send them to Rio and have my wife take our kids and their original birth certificates with her to the interview??

Last night I got an email with my wife's interview appointment for March 1st!... very very happy!!

I send money to my wife via WIRE..through WellsFargo

it goes straight into her bank account in Brazil...I pay a fee of $30..no matter how much I send.

Hi VJ's...Am getting closer and closet to the day that I go to Brazil to bring my wife and two kids back with me. My daughter 17 and my son 7 are nervous about not speaking English yet, so I have been looking for Free Online English Classes, but most of them do not offer Audio translated from English to Portuguese and vise-versa. Do any of my Brazilians friends here know of any good sites where my kids can start learning English?

So I guess it's a luck of the draw to get ahold of them, as I've called a zillion times and all I get is a busy signal. Is it because it's Monday, or is there another number?
