  1. I am preparing for our AOS interview. My husband and I live in a house owned by my family. We do not pay rent. So we do not have a lease. Will this be a problem. THE FOLLOWING IS THE EVIDENCE I HAVE COLLECTED. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THIS IS ENOUGH? ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    JOINT BANK STATEMENT

    DEBIT CARDS FROM BANK

    HEALTH INSURANCE CARDS

BENEFIT STATEMENT FROM EMPLOYER SHOWING MY HUSBAND AS BENEFICIARY ON LIFE INSURANCE

    JOINT TAX STATEMENT

W-2 FROM WORK JUST STATING I AM MARRIED ( I AM THE PETITIONER)

LOTS OF PICS OF BEFORE AND AFTER MARRIED ON TRIPS AND WITH OUR FAMILIES, AND OUR WEDDING & RECEPTION

1 ANNIVERSARY CARD MAILED TO US AND 1 GIVEN TO US

MAIL WITH JUST HIS NAME SHOWING OUR ADDRESS

    hi,

We were in the same situation as you, living with family not paying rent. What we did was got our family to write a letter confirming that we live there together and the date of which we moved there. That was sufficent evidence for them and my greencard was approved.

  2. Hi, last week on the 15th I received a e-mail from CRIS saying that my EAD card production has been ordered. Today I received another e-mail saying the same thing but with todays date the 20th is this normal for them to send two notices? has anyone else had a simillar thing happen?

    thanks!

I got another email from CRIS too. EAD card production date are May 15 and May 20.

Me and you seem to be getting notifications at the same time. If you receive anything else could you let me know and I will do the same for you?

  3. OK I had my Biometrics done yesterday for my I-485 & I-765. Today I received an e-mail from CRIS saying that the card production is ordered and I should receive it in 30 days. This seems really quick don't get me wrong I am very happy it is just a bit un-expected.

Has anyone else had such a quick response or is this a fairly normal time scale?

This is what the e-mail said-

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On May 15, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you.

  4. Hi, I recieved today an RFE for the I-864A I had originally sent. I have got all the evidence they require and I am sending it of today next day delivery so they get it ASAP. In the letter it says:

"The Service will process your Form I-765, within 90 days of the receipt of your missing initial evidence."

Original my I-765 in theory would of been approved mid to late June now does this mean it will be end of July?! I have my Bio appointment on May 14th.

    Please Help!

  5. Please join in if you've filed for AOS in April 2009. Let's keep everyone posted and try to keep our timelines updated.

We all need some support and encouragement through this waiting process!

    Good luck,

    Shelly

Hi, I filed for AOS on the 6th April, so far have recieved NOA 1's for I-130, I-131, I-485 and I-765. I have my biometrics appointment on May 14th! Can't wait to get my EAD so I can finally start working!

    04/06/09- AOS sent

    04/17/09- NOA#1 (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765)

    04/20/09- Biometrics appointment (I-485 & I-765)

  6. My EAD MSC receipt number did not work for weeks (when checked online). Then it suddenly started working when my EAD got approved, on April 13. I received the actual EAD card on April 15.

So you will all probably have to wait until your EAD gets approved to be able to check it online.

hey, how long did it take to get your EAD from applying too actually receiving the card?

I applied for the AOS and EAD on February 22, I believe. Then I got an RFE on March 12, and I sent some additional evidence to them 3 days later and they received it on March 17, so then finally I received my EAD on April 15.

sorry for another question! what kind of evidence do they require?

  7. I am waiting on my EAD to be approved am I right in thinking that I can't apply for a SSN until I have the approval?

I'm assuming you don't have K-1 status and in that case the answer is probably no. Need to know your current status to be certain.

no I don't have K-1 just went straight to AOS.

  8. As mentioned in previous posts I have just received my NOA#1 for I-130, I-131, I485 and I-765, at what point of this process will I be requested to get a police clearance certificate is it alot further down the line or should I get it as soon as possible?

Also over the last 5 years I have lived in both the U.K. and the Cayman Islands will I have to get police clearance from both countries? (I lived in the Cayman Islands for 15 months).

    thanks.

  9. Today we received the first NOA's for the I-130, I-131, I-485 and I-765. What happens next do I just wait for further communication from USCIS or is ther any way of checking the progress?

does the receipt numbers represent my case numbers or can I call USCIS quoting these numbers to get my case number?

Any help would be great! :)

  10. Hi, I am new to this site but have found it useful when I was getting together my paperwork to file. On the 6th April I sent to the Chicago lockbox the I-130, I-485, I-864, I-325a, I-765 and I-131 all together.

Yesterday the I-485 check was cashed by USCIS does this mean the paperwork was checked and has now moved onto the next stage?

Also I expected the check for the I-130 to be cashed first, because it has not does this mean there may of been a problem with the papers and they are being sent back? or is it just because the papers go too different departments?

    Any help/advice would be great.
