The passport office PCC is about 2.5 months old, do we need to obtain most recent copy? Does it expires? For visa interview in mumbai,india. Thanks.

Do you have a marriage registration certificate(government issued). Does your original nikkah certificate has any kind of stamp?

My original certificate is in native language but the certified copy is in english. How is certified copy different from translated copy? The only difference i can think of is that the certified copy should have a stamp and the translated copy should not. Can someone please clerify?

Now i am really confused, i called NVC and was told that since the beneficiary passport is within 6months old, we don't need the local PCC and as far as the passport office certificate they won't even issue one without the checklist or the interview letter. Can someone clarify?

I am in a similar situation, i am still not sure weather to use maiden name or the married name in DS230 because so far all the other application(i130,g325a) were under maiden name and now her new passport is in her married name. Is it ok to suddenly start using married name instead of maiden name?

I have asked my spouse to courier me all the documents required to submit with ds230 package, once i gether everything i will send it from USA address. Now does NVC object who sends the package since ds230 should be really coming from beneficiary, is it ok if i send it locally?

I totally agree with psp312, my wife recently tried to get her PCC and was required all of the above mentioned documents.

Thanks for your reply, but should we be worried if her married name was not mentioned in I130 nor in g325a and suddenly we will start to use her married name in ds230?

We are having difficulties achieving PCC from the passport office because the beneficiary did not renew her passport to the new married name. They only issue the PCC after the new PP has been created under her married name. The problem is in I130, and g325a were submitted under her maiden name and no mention of her married name. Once she change the name in her PP do we need to start using the new married name in the upcoming forms, like DS230? Are we supposed to notify NVC? Or should we just create a new PP and keep both passports during interview and not inform NVC ahead of time. Will it cause delay/problems in changing her maiden name to her married name as a primary name? We have marriage certificates and all required documents to prove the marriage. Any guidance is appreciated.
