In my oath ceremony at Atlanta we were told the same ie cannot return without US passport. However, there was a letter/coupon in the big white envelope allowing you to apply for a expediated passport service without appointment and travel proof by walk in at Atlanta passport office.

PS I applied normal service and delivery and got my passport and certificate within 10 days after applying at Suwanee post office.

Looking at near 6 months.

After close to 5 months since application, my husband and I finally got our biometrics letter yesterday, mine scheduled for Nov. 13 (2PM) and his the next day. I have something else for 2.30pm that day so I intend to do a walk-in (probably on Monday, Nov 3). For those that have done walk-ins, were you asked the reason for doing walk-in and if yes, did you have to provide proof. Thank you.

I and my family did a walk in in Atlanta both times ie for green card and N400. Both times no questions were asked and was in and out in less then 15 minutes.

I see that some people theh applied in may they done with their process that means they are not processed the application in the order they were recived, any body know the criteria?

I and my family applied in April and with Atlanta field office.

We are all done. Received interview letter around 23 August. Interview 23 September for all 3 of us.

Got a call on 26 Sept Friday for Oath on 27 Sept Saturday at 1.00pm.

This helps a lot! Does anyone know if guests can arrive/enter the building separately from the new citizen? I'm going to be coming straight from work and cutting it pretty close. I don't want my husband to have to wait for the last minute to go in because he had to wait for me.

I am sure he shud be able to enter separately as security were only checking photo ids when we were entering.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. They told him to just bring his green card. I tried calling the number back to clarify and ask some more questions, but it just takes me to an automated system with no operator. I tried calling USCIS, but they're just as confused by the last minute phone notification as we are.

The officer that interviewed him did advise him that he would probably be called with interview details, as they've been trying to speed this whole process up lately. It just seems strange that it was so sudden and with no details.

At first I was also confused that it was some scam but when my wife and daughter also got the called i was a bit relieved and it was genuine oath call.

First you check in on the ground floor where they will give you a paper to fill in. Your guest can accompany you.

Then you are sent to the 2nd floor and your guest I think go to the 3rd floor. On the 2 nd floor some one will check the paper and take it from you and will make you seat in the seat in the order of the paper. Next some one will come and take your green card and give you a number. After everybody is seated they transfer you to the oath hall thru the double doors in the same order you were seated and seat on the chair with the number given to you where there is a envelope with the goodies.

Once you are seated there is a small speech and explain the procedure of oath.Then the guests are invited to join and they seat at the back. Then the ceremony starts.

The previous poster answered your questions, but I'm curious about something... your husband will need an oath ceremony letter to check-in. There are a number of questions he needs to answer on the form. Did they fax this over to you?

My guess is that they had some last minute rescheduling and so they ended up with some openings at Fridays ceremony.

I think Atlanta has a long processing time ie 8 months compared to national 5 months so they are having extra oath ceremonies as ours were on Saturday. Our interview was on Tuesday 4 days before.

I got a call around 1.00pm on Friday to attend the morning session on Saturday and my wife and daughter were called in the evening for Saturday afternoon session. So I requested mine to be also in the afternoon.

Security only checked our Id (driving Licence) and then they check you in on the ground floor where they give you the paper to fill out and sign ie address and yes no questions. My paper was not there and had to wait about 20 minutes for them to look for it as it was in the morning session timing.

1 pm would be checking in time.

Ceremony will start around 2.00pm and should be done by 3.00 - 3.30pm depending on number of new citizens.

We had ours a month ago on Saturday afternoon and got a phone call a day before on Friday around 07.00 pm.

and less questions asked.

I am at the final stages of the N400 assembly and one thing I am not clear on, is where to place the additional pages.

Example: In part 8, item 3. I ran out of lines while listing the international travel in last 5 years, I had to create an additional page, where I listed the remaining trips.

Where do I place this additional page, right after page 7 (on which the part 8 is listed) or in the end, which is after page 21?

It seems all the Dallas lockbox applicants have all reached fingerprinting notices stage but no interview letters yet while some of the other lockbox applicants have started receiving them.

So Dallas side is slower and Atlanta field office seems to be the slowest and lookig at 6 to 7 months processing time - 2 months more then the national average.

I send my application to the office and they receive it on Jan 15, 2014. Soon they send me I-797, but this is the only letter I received. It's already more than 4 month, I still did not receive the biometric appointment. I called them at least ten times. At March, after I noticed them, they said that they would mail me a letter to explain that in 30 days, but after 30 days, I did not receive anything. I called them again, and they told me they would send my request again and they promise me this time I must receive a letter. Unfortunately, I still did not receive anything. I appealed online, nobody responsed me. I send them email, and they send me a feeback, but the feedback is let me grade their website! I had to call them again, again, and again. They told me that I would receive the appiontment anytime, but I don't trust them. They told me the same thing two month ago. I'm really mad about their service. My cousin send them her application at March, she received her appiontment in a week! Why I have to wait four month and still not be scheduled yet? Why they treated me unequally? Is this discrimation? Why they don't tell me the reason that my case is delayed? Why they tell me I would receive the letter in thirty days but I don't? Oh my God, the people send the application at May already start to receive appiontment but I still not! Can anyone tell me what I should do now please?

MAYBE you have same problem as mine.

I applied as one package for me, my wife and daughter together. I did not receive any NOA for 10 days and no checks cashed. I started getting worried as I had mailed exactly 90 days before our 5 year anniversary which Dallas lockbox maybe counting differently. To be on the safe side I went thru all our N 400 applications and realised that I had made a mistake on my DOB ie mixed up day and month. So maybe they were going to reject my application.

Few days latter surprisingly we all received our NOAs. I was hoping they had realised my mistake and corrected my DOB as the enclosed permanent resident card shows the DOB. The DOB on my NOA was the same wrong date I had entered on my application.

Immediately I checked the status online and the latest was Finger printing notice sent for my wife and daughter only and not for me. So the following day I called 1 800 number and explained the situation who just made a service request. At the same time I sent a letter explaining the mistake on N 400, enclosed copy of the Permanent resident card, copy of my passport which also shows my birth date, copy of my birth certificate and reprinted copy of the page on N400 showing DOB.

Two days later we received my wife and daughters finger printing notice and not mine so on line status. was accurate.

Finally, 12 days after I had sent the letter the status on my application changed to finger printing notice. I dont know if its was the DOB error that delayed our NOA and my finger printing or something else.

But MAYBE if it was then suggest please go thru your application again to verify that everything is correct as per your A file with USCIS.

Hello guys, I was reviewing the n-400 application and I notice I didn't include the cruise, that I took for 3 days to the Bahamas. Since my passport wasn't stamp I completely forgot to include it.

Can I mention it on the interview?

Yes I think you should because when i went on cruise they also did not stamp my passport but the officer did swipe my green card so its in the system.

It wont matter as long as you did not distrupt the physical presense requirement.

Just wanted to know, did you have a lot of trips abroad and to different countries during your 3 or 5 years residency period before your n 400 application?

Asking because my biometric notice is also being delayed compared to my family as i had travelled quite a bit during the last 5 years and maybe it takes longer to do name check before they check fingerprints.

Just wanted to know were all the details on your NOA correct when USCIS accepted your application ie Name address, date of birth etc.

Reason I am asking is because I also applied with my family and they have received their biometric appointments but I have not and on my NOA my birth date was incorrect.

So maybe thinking thats why I have not received my biometric I 797.

When you receive NOA, it will have your personal information, such as name, address, and birth date. And it says that if any information is incorrect, contact them at one of the 800 numbers.

Yes received the NOA today, at last after 16 days of mailing.

JSully you are right the personal details are there and the DOB is wrong so will have to call the 800 number on Monday to correct it. Thanks JSully.

The same officer or person that sign yours sign mine, after it get to another person, you mention that you apply for you and your daughter so maybe it takes longer because they have to enter more data.

The error of DOB maybe it can be change during interview. Wait a couple days more

Yes we applied as a group so maybe takes time. Hope I receive something today.

On DOB error will try to correct during interview but I think that will delay the citizenship as FBI name check is done in conjunction with DOB. Lets hope for the best.

I recently filled out and filed my n400 application, however i didnt see a 2D barcode on any of the pages and i am pretty sure i used the latest version of the form from uscis site.

Was there something I did wrong, and what are the chances my packet will be returned or significantly delayed due to the lack of these barcodes?

I think you open the form from USCIS site, than convert into Adobe reader format. That will allow you type on PC and at the same time change the 2D bars as per your input and then print out. If you want to fill the form by hand then you do not need to convert into Adobe reader and just print out the form without the bars.

I had been tracking April 2014 filers thread where everyone was getting responses within 4 to 7 days.

I was getting worried as I had not received any response, so yesterday being 10 days after package

delivery I went thru our application and realized I had entered wrong DOB ie mixed up month and day

on my application. So maybe that is why they had not cashed the check or responded to G 1145 and were going to return the application.

But this morning when I checked my bank account the checks are showing as pending so they have cashed

the checks and accepted the application despite error on DOB.

So dont know why there was delay in accepting and cashing the checks. Maybe because we had signed and mailed exactly 90 days before 5 years as that is not advisable as somebody mentioned in the forum and I found out about it yesterday or they had held the application to correct the DOB.

Any suggestions or experiences of entering incorrect DOB on any USCIA applications?

g1145 is not really necesssary right we can always track and sign up for text/emaill notifications when the NOA came in the mail...?

No response text or email from USCIS. And no NOA in mail so far.

Just saw the checks pending on online banking.
