hey, we have interview date July 17 for CR1 spouse visa

i sumitted I864 affidavit of support with tax return copy to NVC and got it approved.

then, i submitted ds 230 with all original requested documents and is approved.

what does my wife have to submit at VFS office in Ahmedabad 10 days before interview? Only the missing documetns listed on appointment letter.

or copies of all documents already submitted to NVC should be again sumitted to VFS, like sponsor, etc/

My wife in India just visited Apollo Hospital in Ahmedabad for her medical. She got her medical done but one of the vaccine newly required is human papillamovirus given over 3 doses. She received the first dose today, and the doctor gave her the date to come back on July 20th for second dose.

I am now worried because her interview at Bombay is scheduled for July 17th. If everything is okay, will she get approved for visa? or will not having received second dose will cause a problem in visa? Will she get denied until she receives second dose and complete HPV virus vaccine?

Anyone gone through this process, pleae help. Its a farily new vaccine required now for young women age 16 to 26 immigrating to US.

Our case has delayed already by PCC, and now I'm worried about this vaccine situation Pleae help.

Thanks to all VJ members for the help during the entire process.

One question: my wife just received an interview letter e-mail from NVC, interview i on July 17th 2009.

When she will get the original interview letter from Bobmaby consulate by postal mail? WIll she need that when she goes to Bombay consualte? She has not yet received the letter form Bombay.

Second question: We submitted eveyrthing D 230 and Affadavit of Support to NVC> Our case is complete, interview is scheduled. How does the VFS courier process in India works? Do we need to submite everything in copy form again to VFS in AHmedabad before she goes to Bombay for interview?

Does she have to submite copies of DS 230, evidences, copy of I864, etc.

After you obtain police clearance certificate from district, you will submit application for passport clearance certificate from the passport issung office. It is required of all no matter when passport is issued or where is residence.

You need to show passport offcer original distrit PCC, photos, valid passport, and fill application 2 along with fee to obtain passport PCC.

Ours, Ahmedabad passport office mailed a paper certificate 4 days letter and also stamped the passport. It is the paper certificate you require to submit to NVC>

The only thing Ahmedabad passport office really wants to see is any letter of NVC that has been addressed to th ebeneficiary in India. If in India, your spouse has received any letter with her Indian address, she can apply for passport PCC. But if you all have is US address on NVC letter, then they want either checklist or interview letter and that too with Indian address on it not US address.

My wife applied for passport PCC and after all documents were Wednesday, and she received her PCC Monday. SO it takes about 4-5 days at most, atleast for US.

I DON'T KNOW YOU KNOW OR NOT. BUT AHMEDBAD PASSPORT OFFICE REQUIRES MARRIED PASSPORT WHEHTER HUSBAND OR WIFE BEFORE PCC IS ISSUED. If wife passport is still in father's name, they will NOT issue PCC no matter how much you argue. if your husband passport do not indicate his wife name, they will NOT issue PCC. So make sure wife and husband passport whichever is married passport.

But for NVC process now, submit your original documents, DS 230 Part I and II and certified true copy of DSP passport PCC to speed up process. if your case gets completed before June 15, you may well be at a chance of late July or in August interview. Remember you need to also send in photocopies of all documents with originals to NVC with your DS 230.

Yes, psp312 is right. i submitted just local DSP PCC copy and said passport PCC will be brought at interview. NVC approved and completed the case without any problem. SO send in your D 230 with your documents and DSP PCC copy now. Don't worry about passport PCC to NVC now. But remember to keep original DSP PCC with you as Ahmedabad passport office will require to see it before they will issue their PCC. SO send in Certified true copy of DSP PCC instead of original, that's what I did and NVC competed the case. Waiting for interview date now.

I got case complete May 19 still no interview date. NVC told me same thing they schedule interview 2nd wek of each month... for me June

Yes, you need to obtain all documents and send in ORIGINALS to nvc.

With DS 230, you will send both all ORIGINAL document and copies of those documents. You will get original back at interview in Bombay.

You will need original birth certificate, marriage certificate, police clearnace from district superintendent, passport clearance, 2 beneficiary visa photos, biographic and other US visa stamped pages of the passport....everything original except passport copy is only okay.

I mailed my I-864 and next day mailed DS230.

last week, it said Ds 230 received and under review, but AVR says missing documents

Today, in morning, operator said DS 230 received and under review, AV R still says missing documents. operator confirmd no missing documents.

Today in evening I recieved e-mail from NVC checklist stating DS 230 I missing. I submitted everything/ How's that possible.

I submitted everything April 28 and was expecting June interview. But it just got posted on Bombay consulate and our file number is not on it.

We submitted every DS230 with evidence document April 28. NVC AVR system said it received on May 5 and pending review. Then, NVC system says "NVC has reviewed documents and found information misssing. A checklist of missing documents was generated on May 12, 2009 and will arrive in net 4-6 weeks." When I called NVC, they say we have DS 230 but it's may not yet be reviewed by NVC.

SO does anyone know what's causing this delay as I submitted DS230 April 28 and still pending review. Still no case complete to this date. Please help.

Anyone please help me.

I submitted my Affidavit of Support April 28 and DS- 230 with evidence April 29. Both delivered to NVC APril 30 per UPS tracking and signature. Still 2 days ago May 10 when I called NVC AVR it said "NVC received your documents on May 5 and is in the process of review. Please allow 4-6 weeks before decsisio is made."

Then, I called today May 13, NVC AVR says that "NVC found some documents missing. NVC has generated a checklist and send on May 12, 2009."

When I spoke to NVC representative, they say that missing is DS 230 forms but if you have already sent it, NVC may have not yet reviewed it. SO please wait."

I saw on many of your timeline that NVC gets case complete after review in around 12 days. For me, its over that. What should be the reason NVC is still not reviewed my DS 230.

Please help. WHat should I do?

When my submits documents to VFS, their list states that submit job letter for my wife stating she has job ready in original from US employer. My wife is coming here on I-130 US citizen marriage file. Is this letter required? Do I need to get one and send it to her? Please advice as her interview is coming up. Will the consulate ask for it and help us?

From US immigration and NVC side, there is no need to update middle name of wife from fathers to her husband after marriage.

BUT for female beneficiaries living in Gujarat India that will go through Ahmedabad passport office, Ahmedabad passport office DOES REQUIRE the name change on passport before they can issue police clearance certificate. You will need passport PCC to be submitted when your case transfers to NVC in New Hampshire before they can issue visa call letter. My wife went through this process, she had to get a new passport in India with my name.

So, it is necessary to get married name for wife in Gujarat India if going through Ahmedabad passsport office for their PCC.

If you apply in Tatkaal scheme, it will take Application, indian proofs, passport photos, old maiden passport, and affidavits and Rs. 2500 fee, and your passport will be issued in maximum of 10 days. My wife visited Ahmedabad passport office to get PCC from them after receiving her original local district PCC. Ahmedabad passport officials denied saying the letters fromm NVC must be in her address listed before they can issue PCC.

So, here I found a trick to generate RFE> I'm using that to make a unofficial RFE for missing passport PCC using the Jame's shortcut. THis is just to show to passport official to get clearance, not for submission to NVC.

I downloaded the template, but it's only two pages. First page is the address, barcode, and 3 paragraphs lisitng. Second page is RFE coversheet with barcode, address, and note that send only one case in one evelope with one RFE. That is all.

WHERE DO I LIST THE MISSING DOCUMENTS? THERE IS NO OTHER PAGE OR SPACE INDICATING THAT ON TEMPLATE. PLEASE HELP, MY CASE HAS DELAYED MUCH BECAUSE OF AHMEDABAD PASSPORT CLEARANCE PROBLEMS. PLEASE HELP.

1. I have copy of district police PCC of anand. Can I submit that instead of original as my wife needs original for issue of passport PCC from ahmedabad which will be after she get interview letter? Can I submit that district anand police PCC photocopy?

2. I submitted I-864 with documents today. Does anyone know how long will it take for them to process and approve and list in compiter?

Hey, I understand one local PCC can be submitted to NVC at this tiem, and passsport PCC can be obtained at time of interview.

But passport office requires original local PCC, can we submit certified true copy to NVC of it?

Can we make the copy of PCC and get it certified true copy and send it to NVC? WIll they approve it?

My wife just issued a new passport with her new married name and she has her local district police clearance certificate.

However, when she visited Ahmedabad passport office, she was asked to present "missing PCC letter checklist" before they can issue PCC from passport office.

Since I do not have her papers yet, I have not submitted anything to NVC, so have no checklist or RFE whatsoever.

Can anyone suggest how can I make missing PCC RFE for her to take to passport office just to get the passport clearance certificate? If I submit everything to PCC later this week and wait for their RFE, it will delay the case much.

Another question: Can I just submit certified true copy of district police to NVC right now and will they be okay with that? and she can take passport clearance to interview. What are the options? Please suggest.

They will not issue PCC although her maiden passport is still valid until 2017. Please advice to what should I do so not to delay my case. PCC is the only docume left to submit to NVC.

hey ben and ash, how did you get hold of police clearance that fast in India? I am having trouble securing PCC from local district and ahmedabad passport office. I cannot submit my application because of that PCC. My case was approved 1st week of march.

If you would, please suggest how you got PCC so fast and what type of PCC you submit to NVC?

For me, they are asking for name change from maiden to married name (middle name change from my father's to my husband's ) before they can issue PCC and say it will take awhile. Please help me. It's been about a month and no submission to NVC because of PCC. Please help.

I read on some other post onn this forum that IF YOU HAVE A JOINT SPONSOR AND THAT PERSON IS CURRENTLY MARRIED, THEN YOU NEED TO SUBMIT BOTH JOINT SPONSOR OF THAT PERSON AND ANOTHER JOINT SPONSOR OF THE HIS/HER SPOUSE. It was stated that they will ask for it at bomaby and reschedule your appointment. Any feedback will be helpful. I DO NOT WANT TO DELAY MY CASE ANYMORE. Please suggest.

I have a joint sponsor of one of my relative that exceeds 125% poverty limit, but do I need to also include another joint sponsor of his spouse? What should I do? Go with my sponsor and his joint sponsor OR go with my sponsor, his sponsor, and his spouse's sponsor. Please help.

She went to the RPO and they are saying that she has to change her maiden name from her middle father's name to my middle name. then only she can apply for police clearance. I don't understand why they can't issue PCC under her current passport which is still valid until 2017.

I have all her affidavit of support I 864 papers ready and all required DS 230 immigration paper ready except for PCC. What should I do? Should I go ahead and mail all papers to NVC? Or should I wait for PCC to come before I submit everything to NVC? What's best option for me. Someone please advice. I DO NOT WANT TO DELAY MY CASE. It's already been 1 and half week now and still waiting for PCC, said will take about a week to get new passport and another week (so 2 to 3 weeks total) to get PCC. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help.

Did your relative directly go to passport office and filled the form OR did you have go through and obtain clearnaces (NOCs) from district police station before approaching passport office?
