Sept 2008 HURRICAN IKE, Damages house, destroyed brand new car, wiped out the garage, 4 trees down in yard, no power or water for 3 weeks. No way to live. "Cant leave house or dogs due to fear of looters in the evening"Still went to work thru all of this.

Jan. 2009 Best friend blows her brains out. Friends since we were 13 years old.

Re-married Feb. 2009,

March 2009 again with USCIS, praying for God mercy to see us thru this before Nov.So yes, mood changes all the time, always waiting for other shoe to drop. No way to live, but its how was and is.

Question to the people who are being approved right now -- did you get any online indication as to whether or not your case had been approved? Was it touched? Did you receive any emails or anything like that?

Just curious... as I live in Canada and I can't call and I have not received any touches or emails or anything...

I'm reading that people are calling and getting positive affirmation that their files are indeed being processed or at the very least, looked at... I realize that I can use Sykpe or something like that to call... but I work all day and don't really have the ability to do that during the day.

So, just wondering if all of you who have been approved had any indication via email as to what was going on...

Sorry about that!

I found out about my case just by calling. Twice I got a hold of a nice officer, who took his time with me, and did not give me the brush off. I still have no "touches" for I check each time I call, many get approval with no touches, not even showing on line that thier case was approved. I just call when Im on a break at work, only takes a few minutes, this time I got right thru once I got thru all the prompts. I think if your nice and polite, they too will be also, and go a little further for the caller.

But I will call again before I leave work for the weekend tomorrow.

Morning filers: Question: Yesterday I receivec in mail my husbands birth cert, written in French, but the seal is Arabic with some writting, since he is interviewing in France, I dont have to translate his BC, but should I get the Arabic seal translated?

I have his ALgerian police report and will have that tranlated into English. #2 would it look strange if I go ahead and have his BC translated from French into English, and the seal translated by another translator into Arabic, would it cause confusion? Cause the tranlators I know , well the Frecnh lady knows only French, and the Arabic lady said she prefers to do only Arabic. UGH! Any advise would help.

What I mean Hon, and I was probley un-clear, "just woke up" YAWN, there is writting around the seals. That is the part I meant. So if NVC sees the seals and un-translated, it would be okay? I need coffee.

writitngs about the seals state always the record of such translations in their files there

for example ..my marriage contract is in arabic ..and it carried like 7 seals with words above ..around and even over these seals .and when translating ..only the main contract is the one translated ..and the american embassy notarized it so normal wzout any problems ...seals and whts around it is for the official use of the country tht issued sch documents for their records as refrence

NVC didnt get the petition yet ...NVC is so slow these days due to much approvals in the last 3 months

hope CSC keep with that so ppl got approved ..dont know but i feel CSC is slowing down some how

since April first i didnt see any approvals at all ..this is weird ..it has been a week since then !

i got approved as u see my timeline on march 27m hard copy of NOA2 in mail on April 3

and u know what ? my case still (case received and pending) on the USCIS website till that moment

EVEN my last update there was on march 16 ...and its still

alot of members got their approvals and they still pend there

also u will be surprised to know tht some members stated that they went through NVC and their case is COMPLETE and still pending on USCIS

same happens with the NVC AVR system ...

look to ur mail frequently ..thts wht i made my wife do ..and we got it .

yeah, i guess, i've read that here too. BUT my hubby is not exactly home all the time, so we asked the neighbor to check the mail box for us.

hubby also says that the postal service in his place sucks... their mails sometimes go to other neighbor.

I'm just crossing my fingers.. once tomuts and paris gets their approval, and all the april filers gets theirs.. i'll start to worry that something might be wrong with our application already.

Paris and I would be so happy to have approval next but processing does not always go in order of receipt there. What will be, will be!

we're looking at some timelines here, and we're scared of not making it in 6 or 7 months and maybe stuck with the CR1 application for a year.

<<my profile still says K3 Visa, hahaa.. I still haven't changed it since we're rocking back and forth with k3 and cr1

Dont file K3 cause when you send in the I-129F and pair it up with your now pending I-130, it will go to bottom of pile again.

CR-1 is a better visa. And now K3 is not faster visa to get anymore.
