My dad is petitioning for his brother and already has approval notice on the I-30 with a receipt date of july 5th 2001 and a notice date of june 28th 2005. I was looking over the NOA today and noticed that it says that he is not eligible to to file for an adjustment of status at the time and that the approved application will be kept on the uscis offices until he files the AOS application or applies for an immigrant visa . Should my uncle just wait for his application to be processed since USCIS should be processing applications with his receipt date soon or does he have to file for either AOS or an immigrant visa.

My wife had her interview today. She had her medical done on the 5th. She is pregnant and we were planning on her not having the chest xray done, but she was told by the staff at the clinic that if she didn't have it done, that at the interview, the CO would reschedule her appointment till after she was able to have it done. My wife said that they did use some type of shield to cover her stomach area to protect the baby. She didn't get any of the vaccines because of the pregnancy and because she just recently had the chicken pox, which I know is bad. We just ended up paying 175$ or so for the medical
As for the Interview, she was approved. Her interview was at 8:15 and we got there at 7:55. I had to wait at the consulate waiting area which is air conditioned. Im thinking that this waiting area was just recently opened. My wife said she said she wasnt asked for the copies of the i864, DS230 or any other paperwork or evidence. She was first asked for her passport, medical results and 2 photos. Then finger printed , and last the interview. The CO asked her first for my name , If she had ever been to the US (No), who petitioned for my residency(My Dad), and if we had any children which she answered by telling him that she was pregnant with our first baby. The CO congratulated her for the baby and for being approved. She paid 102 pesos for DHL and was told to call at 3:00 to check if the package was ready for pick up. She was out of the consulate just after 11:00.

My wife has her CR1 interview on August 7th and I had someone mention that I need to take an updated I864 for the interview . Is the I 864 really needed for the interview or do I just need the copies of the I864 that I sent to NVC?

Congrats!
What a wonderful idea Sus!!!This will make things SO much better!! wish something like that spreadsheet was around in my day!
Thanks JAEng - I have always checked the timelines and tried to get an estimated range of how long it will take us (when we ever file, lol) - The more people fill in their info, the easier it will be - Now you can view just Jamaica without having to search through all the timelines.
Sus that is too cool! So essentially this thread could be locked down and we add the link to the Jamaica survival link.
I still think we should keep this thread to post interview dates in...

ok, maybe some one has this answer. I just called NVC, I had received the letter dated June 11, that they have received my approved petition. It also states that the case will be forwarded within a week to the consulate. I called just to find out the date of arrival and the date of departure from NVC.
I was not happy to find out that we have been chosen for AP. How can they do this, after sending me a letter saying that it will be forwarded within a week? The person who answered the phone told me that the letter is generic, and that it is not a guarantee that it will be forwarded within a week. anyone get this as well?
Same thing happened to me with my K3. It took NVC 34 days to transfer my case to the embassy . During that time I decided to forget about the K3 and just continue with the CR1 instead. CR1 was completed at NVC yesterday, should have the interview for August.

We are approved.............We filed March 3, 2009, received NOA1 March 11, 2009 and NOA2 March 24, 2009 at 8:30pm by email. The USCIS website is current with our status. THANK YOU JESUS! May good bless everyone in this Forum...............................
Congratulations
I was approved on the same day but for some strange reason USCIS website does not that.
