hey guys another update by me....got my greencard yesterday(19th sept) with no error....i m very happy....in a week i got my approved email n card production with approval letter in mail n now greencard....i think vsc is doing good...my advise to vsc filer juz keep faith in god n have patience...if u r right no one can prove u wrong

hey want to share my happiness with u guys, just got an card production email . No approval letter in mail till now. I applied on april 3rd, 2009 to vsc, did my biometric on may 8th, 2009, got an email for card production today with approval date sept 11, 2009. what a relief . Just waiting for my greencard with no mistakes in it. May god bless everyone. thanx for ur help.

no i don't think so. If u have money to pay their fee n proof to show ur ongoing relationship like joint acct, joint taxes, joint utility bill, joint lease or mortgage, birth certificate of ur child, joint health insurance n etc, u r good to go.

On the same subject, my green card expires in January and I have tickets to travel back to Greece in November. What would you suggest? Should I send the application before I go eg. in October or wait until I'm back on the 1st of December? I'm a little worried that they would set an appoint. for me while I'm gone but that would be unlikely right? Another question I have is whether my son needs any special documentation to come with us. He was born in USA. Thanks in advance for any replies!

hi foxyvegan, i'll say the same thing to u also as i said to jen. actually u r in better condition coz ur green card is expiring in jan so u have time to plan to file ur I-751. whenever u file make sure u didn't miss ur biometric appointment. Give atleast 1.5 mnths after filing coz if everythng goes smoothely u may have ur biometric within these 1.5 mnth. But if u don't want to take risk( n i'll also suggest) that file after u comeback coz u have time. otherwise its ur decision . n as far as ur son problem i think he doesn't need anything otherthan his passport n visa coz he is a citizen, but i m not sure on this topic. lets wait for what other people has to say.

Hi! we're getting ready to mail our packet this week, my green card expires early October, but I might travel to my home country around mid October. I suppose my new green card won't be here by then, does anybody know if I can travel with only the receipt letter? I tried finding the information on here but just couldn't find it.

hi jen, u can go anywhere with ur expired green card n extension letter, i think u won't get any problem in that. But don't forget after extension letter u have to be available for ur biometric appointment. so make sure u r not away on ur appointment date. generally it comes after a month of ur filing, but remeber i m just approximatimg it can be sooner or latter. u can't find it until u get ur appointment letter. rest there is no problem in travelling

No, U have to apply for removal of condition on ur residency within 3 mnths before ur green card expires, otherwise uscis will start its deportation procedure coz after nov u'll not a legal resident until u got ur extension letter from uscis after applying for I-751. So u must have apply for it. n then after getting ur 10 yr green card u can apply for citizenship in 2010

hey shamu, u can fly without any difficulty....but make sure u file ur I-751 at that time within 90 days of ur gc expired so that u didn't miss ur biometric appointment. i mean plz avoid ur vacation n biometric appointment from being collide. as then u have to reschedule ur appointment which in turn will take processing of ur case long. so keep that in ur mind before filing.

heyyy don't worry i think u have enough time to get noa1 most probably u'll get it by 15th or 17th. if in case u didn't get by 1mnth from your filing date u can always make an infopass appointment n get ur passport stamped. you r set as u have applied before ur gc expires. so now just wait n watch

for my biometric, i was asked to just bring my appointment notice and photo identification. so for the photo identification i just presented my passport and they were ok with it. but yes i have submitted fotocopy of my greencard with my evidences for ROC. are they asking GC from you specifically? If not passport or license are enough for biometric..

hey guys just checked the uscis website....it updated again on 16th july....n processing time for I-751 for vsc is now showing 6 mnths and tsc dec 2008....no timelines for csc n nsc

I have two quick q's on how to assemble i751

1. Are you suppose to staple the check to the form ? Anything you write on MEMO?

2. Do you send passport copies or passport photos?(I am not sure if its mentioned)
