  1. We also had our interview yesterday and we were approved!!!:dance::dance: The IO was a very nice young american woman, she was smiling and joking a lot, so the whole interview was more like a friendly conversation. We talked about our wedding, showed her our huge photo album, which she was looking through with interest, asking questions about people on the pictures. Then she asked us about our honeymoon trip, we told her about trip to Vegas, showed her another photo album... She told us some funny things about her own wedding, then we talked about our plans for the future, when we are going to have children, and stuff like that... The only documents she asked was to show the original of my birth certificate and our marriage certificate. She DIDN'T ask a single question about any financial or joint documents, even though we had the whole folder with joint bills, insurances, etc.) The only nervous moment was when she looked at form 693 that we had sent together with other papers and said that it was strange why the doctor had filled out only the vaccination section and left blank the medical exam part... I started to explain to her that since I had enrered the country with fiancee visa, I didn't need another medical exam as long as my medical from Moscow that I got before K-1 interview was not older that a year (this medical with all required tests was also in the case on her table). They have this infomation on USCIS site. But the IO was still doubting and went to ask her supervisor. Came back in several minutes and apologized that she hadn't realized that for fiancee visa the new medical exam was not required. Thanks God! Then she gave us the paper saying that I had been granted the conditional permanent resident status and explained about the removal of conditions. She said that I would get my card within 30 days. Me and my hubby are so happy and now are looking forward to get the GC in the mail! :star:

Congrats girl!! Its such a good feeling!!

Cant wait to hear how your go, but i believe all will be great!!!!!

  3. Domincan1020 it was the same for me. I came the US in 2005 and got married in 2007 but didn't file until Jan 2009. Seriously, my husband's sickness took priority over my petition. I was more concerned about his life than my status here or being banned if anything happened and I had to return home. Up to December of last year we didn't know if he would make it and in January we began the process not even knowing if he would live but had faith that God would come through and he did.

kcoyclay1 I am sorry you had to go throught this; however we cant question the almighty but to have faith and believe everything will be ok. And now i hope you and your husband will see the light.

If i had to change things i would not change anything. Everything happens for a reason, and i am happy we took time to put in my paper work. It all worked out the way it is suppose to.

THANKS I-MIGRATE!! GOOD LUCK TO U!

oh wow! you got 10 yr GC, how come others get 2 yr GC only?

    Hi shes

I received a 10 yr greencard cause i've been married since 2006. You get the 10 yr gc when you have been married over 2 yrs.

what I dont understand is how come you file 2 years after getting married? how did you do all this time? weren't you scared of being illegal or not being able to work for 2 years and all that?

Honestly shes, my husband and i are a very young couple and that wasnt one of our priority at the time. And no i wasnt scared of immigration because at the time i did not like the us. I wanted us to move to London where all my family is.

  7. Sooo... my interview was this morning and I got approved!! :D

It was schedule at 12.30 but they were at lunch break soo they didn't call my name till 1 or so.

The interviewer was pretty young and at the begining He said that we would have to reschedule the interview because my husband wasn't with me.

I talked to him and told him that I have heard about interviews without their spouse.. he said he knew it wasn't my fault that my husband was on deployment..and that my case looked very good and that he could see that it was a real marriage. So he left the room and when he came back he said " OK, we are going to start the interview".

I think he went to ask someone else.

He only asked for pictures... and my military ID. After that he said that I sent everything they needed and that he was going to approve my case. He asked for my EAD and I-94 (he said the green piece of paper) and that was all. He stamped my passport and said that I would be receiving the GC within 10 days.

Soooo.. right now Im very happy!

    Thank you guys!!! :star:

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am indeed happy for you.

Also thanks for all the congrats fr my VJ Jan family.

    Luck to us all!

  8. I had a great interview this morning!!!!!

    :dance::dance:

Our appointment was scheduled for 8:30 am but went in early so got called at 8:00am. We took the oath and then was sitted. She asked for my passport and husband's military id.

She made sure that my address and signature was correct then went ahead and asked me all the terorist questions. She only asked if this was our first marriage, which it was and if we had outside kids, which is no. she then joked with my 1yr old and said she has a grandson with the same name.

From there she told me that i will be receieving the 10 yr Gc and it should arrive in 10 business days. I told her i intended to travel next week so she gave me a stamp in my passport which is valid for 6 months.

We signed nothing and she asked for no additional document other than my husbands 2 last paystubs and 2008 tax return. I brought our entire 4 last yrs in my bag which was useless; however its better to be over prepared.

She then told us that was all and have a great day. She was a very kind lady. we were both relaxed from the begining. As long as you know you have nothing to be scared of it will be ok. Be your self.

  11. Hi, guys, I just want you to know I was approved today. My appointment is at 12:30pm, and our lawyer told us to meet him in front of the building at 12:00pm. Me and Amy got there at 11:45am, and we tried to get into the waiting area, but the security guard told us that the officers are having lunch break and asked us to come back at 12:25pm. So we went down to wait our lawyer. While we were waiting, there was another couple coming in, and we told them that the security didn't let us in. So they waited with us for a few mins. And as they decided to go up to try, our lawyer came, and we went up together. Our lawyer explained to the guard that he emailed the officer and asking him to interview us earlier as he had a court to go to at 1pm. So the security let us in but not the other couple, which made me feel good about having a lawyer. We were called in around 12:15pm. Our officer was a young male, and he was pretty professional and respectful the whole time. He swore us in really quick, then asked us our DOB, where we were born, the standard questions. He asked when we got married, and how we met, how long did we date before we got married. Then he asked us if we had set up a joint account, and utility bills. And he flipped through our photos, and commented on two pictures of the dishes we had on a date. Then he approved us after that, explained lifting the condition in two years. My lawyer asked him if he had lunch already, he said he hadn't taken a break today, then Amy joked about how those dishes must look really good to him. He said yes, and laughed. We were in and out for about 10 to 15 mins. I was really worried when he was checking my passport and looking at my canceled visa, but he didn't ask any questions related to that. Anyway, I am really happy now, and I am gonna have a nice dinner with Amy and our friends tonight to celebrate. Thanks for all the help and support from the VJers. Wish everyone good luck on their journey.

    Happy for u guys!!! Congrats!
