I LOVE all the good news going around, it's contagious! Brahim and I have our own good news to share: as of yesterday, we are officially out of AP!!! He was called yesterday and told he can go pick-up his passport Monday!!! WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These two years of visa madness have been such a test--we are so thrilled to finally be starting our lives together soon, inshAllah!

Oh my goodness.... Can this week be any better? Birthday, Grandbaby, and now this....

Thank you :: hug ::. I'm just trying to keep busy. I'm just really worried because my final year university exams are coming up and I was hoping to have got shipping and such out of the way before then. My deadline is more or less the 1st June to leave -- I want to take my cat with me in the cabin and I know that takes a month-ahead booking or something like that. After the 1st, my Bean can no longer stay in the boarding cattery where I visit him...and then after the 12th, I'm going to be booted out of my accommodation so I'll have nowhere to go. I don't want to impose on friends, especially if I have my kitty with me. I also have to have Bean's medical checkups for the flight two to three weeks before departure so there's a lot to do...my head just wants to go POP thinking about it!

Oh gosh, I understand the pain!!! It is so frustrating when you have made plans and have ideas in mind! My head wants to POP, too just thinking about all of the issues and timing! Such a mess! My parents, brother and brother's GF bought tickets to come to Pennsylvania next weekend because we thought that Brahim and I would be getting married that weekend It's so sad. I guess it's our fault for buying tickets and thinking we had control over things--silly us!!!

Hello all--found this forum last night, and hope to pull from your positive energy and to help support you all, too! My fiancee was interviewed in Casablanca on March 30th. The interview went VERY well, they took his passport, and said they'd call when the visa was ready. He is in AP--we've called the consulate in Casa and the DOS several times a week and just continue to received the same answer: "There is no problem. We don't need anything from you. This is normal. We will call you as soon as possible." When I called DOS on Tuesday, the woman told me to call on Friday to see if there are any updates--so, I will call Friday and then continue to call weekly

A question for you all: my fiancee was in the US on a J-1--he was subject to the 2-year residency rule so we had to get a J-1 waiver before being able to apply for the K-1. Is there anyone else out there who went through this same thing? In our process of trying to "guess" what is going on with his case, we wonder if there are extra steps in the AP since he previously had a J-1.
