Brahim and I met when I was volunteering in Morocco in 2006. He was in the US on a J-1 in 2007 and we went through a lot to get the home-residency rule waived (best advice: don't listen to people who say that it's impossible to get a J-1 waiver!). We were finally able to apply for the K-1 in 2008, and things have gone much faster since then. It's been a very long process, but we can finally see the light! Inshallah, we will be together soon.
Yay! I'm actually going to be in Philly next Thursday for work. Did Brahim have to do anything special to get the EAD or just ask for it? Also, what did the officers ask him at Immigration? Yay!!!
