Brahim and I met when I was volunteering in Morocco in 2006. He was in the US on a J-1 in 2007 and we went through a lot to get the home-residency rule waived (best advice: don't listen to people who say that it's impossible to get a J-1 waiver!). We were finally able to apply for the K-1 in 2008, and things have gone much faster since then. It's been a very long process, but we can finally see the light! Inshallah, we will be together soon.
That does give me hope. I've been holding back calling DOS because it hasn't been six weeks, but it's so hard not to call them. I'm so glad that things seem to be taking a turn for the better for you. :: Hugs! ::
