Thank you! I hope it all works out. I guess one piece of evidence I could use is that I was home. I was on maternity leave, not to mention we had so much snow we couldn't even get out of our driveway. Snow like that is abnormal around here so nobody was prepared for it.

No, we haven't moved since last June, and we have gone through the majority of the immigration process while at our current address, and have received every other piece of communication from them.

We went to our INFOPASS appointment yesterday. Truly frustrating. We drove up to Seattle on Sunday night (3 hour drive), stayed in a hotel and got up and went to our 8:15am appoinment. We were back on the freeway heading home by 8:30. Truly unhelpful, all we did was hand in the letter asking them to reopen our case, the guy said he would give it to his supervisor for review, and they would notify us by mail in 90 days with the decision. If they deny my request we can file a motion to reconsider ($585), for which we would have to provide evidence of our case. (What kind of evidence do you provide for simply having the USPS return your mail?!), or we can refile the 485 ($1010). Seriously?

Okay, I made the INFOPASS appointment, and I am planning to take a letter and whatever evidence I can come up with. I'm glad to see that the other person this happened to ended up with an approval. In the end, I guess thats what is most important.

So, I just talked to the customer service people at USCIS and he said just to simply write a letter explaining what happened and send it in. He said making an infopass appointment might be a good idea, but I don't have to do that. Hmm. How vague.

Oh my god! The filing fee to reopen the case is $585. This just keeps getting better.

I belive the receipt number to check our status is in the letter they sent you for your BIO appointment too ...is it showing online? or you just didn't know how to look it up?

Ah! Thank you! I didn't realize that was the same number. So, I logged in to check the status on USCIS, and they said the post office returned the appointment notice and said it was undeliverable. The only thing I can think of as to why that would be is because we had a HUGE snow/ice storm during that time and the mail service was interupted. Great.

May I ask why you have gone through 601 process? What was the reason for that?

STILL CAN'T SEE ON-LINE STATUS FOR AOS & EAD !.....

We went through the 601 process because my husband EWI.

We went through the whole 601 process, had our biometrics, recieved EAD in December. Now, I get home today to receive a letter -saying that we are denied on our 485 because we didn't come to our appointment in January. We were a no-show. But we never received any type of letter or anything. I don't even have a receipt number to check our status. What do I do now?

some more details would help....when did you file the I485? what service center/local office are you at? did you call, to find out why you hadn't received the receipt notice, at least?

We filed it in October, had the Biometrics in November, recieved the EAD in December. We went to the Portland Office for the Biometrics, but when I log in to do the infopass, it says I need to go to Seattle...I don't know why. I haven't talked to anyone yet, I got home too late to talk to anyone today. I'm freaking out a little.
