I don't mind the interview. The interview will just delay things a bit. Does anyone know or estimate how long till the green card arrives?

My case was transferred to CSC on Nov. 25. I got an email that says it is transferred back to USCIS. Does this mean there is more chance for an interview?

This is a good news for me. My case was transferred to CSC for faster processing on Nov. 25th.

I received similar letter as well. Hopefully, I won't have to go through interview.

Black Friday is certainly not a federal holiday. Whether you can do a walk-in biometrics depends on the policy of the office and, possibly, whether they are busy that day.
I know that I'll be taking a chance by walking in. I have done that before at Norfolk location. As long as Black Friday is not a holiday, I'll take my chance.

I received similar mail for K3. I will be getting the fingerprints done at NORFOLK ASC. According to USCIS site, they are Open: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Closed: Saturday, Sunday and all Federal holidays. This November 27th (Black Friday) a federal holidays. Can I walk in on 27th to get the fingerprints done?
Anyone know anything about the above question?

I got the filing date in October. I mailed the papers in last week and wasn't sure if it would receive October date, but it did.

My wife just had her interview for K-3 visa. There is nothing to it. Good Luck

My wife got a draft of Rs. 6550.
-
As everyone else said, I wouldn't worry about the phone call.
-
If you are applying for K-1 visa, you need to send a check for $455.00 and make the check payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security

"One Thousand Ten & 00/100. I have used personal check for K-3 and no problem there.

I mailed AOS package for my wife and we only had to take the immunization record to the civil surgeon. He filled out I-693, signed and sealed the envelope.

I do agree with you on vaccinations part. Luckily my wife brought a copy of the vaccinations she received for her medical for the K-3 interview. I still ended up paying $55.00 to a surgeon just to fill out a form and sign it. It's a rip off.

I hand wrote the year in the date field. They really need to fix that form.
-
I mailed my AOS on 24th and it should be there on 27th. Hopefully, that'll put me in October

I left the year out in the form and hand wrote it.

Finally, I ended up calling the 800 number and inquiring about the status of the case. I received a letter notifying me the date of my interview and I had my interview on August 4, 2010. Everything went fine and my wife should be receiving her Green Card any week now.
