All together like a happy little family

I just got my receipt numbers yesterday through email/texts and I tried to access my case online but it says that the case does not exist in the system. Do I have to wait longer before it shows up, or am I doing something wrong?
Good morning! In our experience it took about a week to show up on their site. It might of been a little less but I stopped trying for a few days. Good luck!

Hmmm, I'm worried about the birth certificates part as I lost the English translation of mine and John's original at Cairo Airport the day I flew to him.. We tried to contact Cairo Aiport authorities and the Egyptian embassy in the US with no help.. We did contact Home Land Security and it us to USCIS to prevent our identity's theft.. The only option we have now is file for new birth certificates and a translation for mine.. Did Majid request a translation of his at the Morrocan Embassy or did he do it on his own?
He did it on his own. He just certified that the translation was accurate and signed. He had translations done there and forgot them. His brother is mailing them, but we could wait for all that...

Good luck, Anna!
What did you send in with the AOS packet?
I have the cover letter at home. I'll copy and paste the body of it into a reply on this thread later. It wasn't that difficult. Just make sure John orders his tax transcripts now so you won't have to worry about them later. The only other "odd" thing was Majid's birth certificate with translation. Everything else was simple

Good idea Aya! We just sent Majid's yesterday, they received it this morning.

He's finally coming home! Be sweet, make him feel at home...as if he was away and just came home Guide him to do things on his own in the house...remind him everything is "ours"...in your own way Within a couple of days he'll be right at home Have a phone card ready for him to call his family whenever he wants...good food and a comfortable bed and you're good to go! The excitement is just jumping off the post!! I love it! Congratulations
If you're going to get married right away, wait on the SS card so that it comes with her new name on it...saves you a trip to the SS office..lol. Get your marriage license and get married within 90 days. After the 90 days is up (or before if you can), she will apply for AOS (which is basically greencard application). You can also do advance parole (which allows her/him to travel before the greencard arrives) and EAD (employment authorization-self explanatory) at the same time without being charged extra. In our case, we got the greencard straight away, no AP or EAD. But I would still do it if she wants to work...just in case!
Good luck to you! Everything gets better once she's here
Have a great weekend!
