  1. hello vjers!!

i came here on my fiance visa last august,we got married after 2 weeks, my husband and I went to Social Security Administration and to DMV with the copy of our marriage certificate(not the original),my passport and my I-94 which is expiring soon (october 31st) they did not give me the SS and i wasnt able to get my DMV stuff done also due to the reason that they need the original copy of our marriage certificate, "come back when you have the original copy" that is what they told me..

so we waited for 6weeks and it was only last week when we received the original marriage certicate,we went to the SSA and DMV the next day but again they did not give me because according to them my I-94 is expiring soon, and they will give me if i came 14 days before the expiration of my I-94 but how can I do that if i dont have the original copy of my marriage certificate yet???

They told me that I just need to wait for my employment card before they can give me my SS and my ID's.

We are planning to file the AOS soon we are just waiting for my husband's paycheck,my I-94 is expiring on the 31st,is it ok if we submit the AOS package on Nov 5th??or it should be filed before the expiration of my I-94??please enlighten me..

    thanks to you all!

  7. Ok, what they sometimes suspect in cases with a recent divorce is that you got married primarily to immigrate and bring your real fiance or husband to the US. Here are the points that argue in favor of that suspicion:

    1. You are sponsoring your Pinoy fiance shortly after getting your US citizenship.

    2. You were just recently divorced.

    3. You admit you knew your Pinoy fiance before you knew your ex-husband.

Now, here the points that argue against that suspicion:

    1. You could have divorced your ex-husband after getting your conditions removed, and still gotten your citizenship in five years, but you didn't.

    2. Your ex-husband filed for the divorce - not you.

I don't think your ex-husband's child is relevant at all. I see the angle you're coming from - you're thinking this will help convince them that the divorce was for real marital problems, and not just because it was convenient timing with regards to your immigration status, but I don't think it will help in that respect. He fathered the child five years ago, and they may not believe you didn't know about it all this time. Besides, they really don't care why you got divorced. They care why you got married, and why you're getting married again now.

I also don't think a statement from your ex-husband is going to help much. All he can say is what his perspective is. He can swear up and down that he truly loved you, and married you in good faith, but that doesn't prove to the consulate that you felt the same way. I'm not saying you didn't - I'm just saying the consulate isn't going to know based on a statement from your ex-husband.

The timing is the thing you'll need to address with the consulate. You recently got your citizenship. You recently got divorced. You're now sponsoring your Filipino fiance who you've known for years. You have to prove to the consulate that this wasn't planned from the beginning. I can't tell you how to do that because I don't know enough about your personal situation to know what sort of evidence you might be able to provide.

    hi,what evidence shall i bring??please help me

  8. I"m not sure what the process is but you need to notify a Philippine consulate yoiur hubby divorced you. You are still married in the Philippines and record of your divorce needs to be reported in RP. You will be committing bigamy if you marry as far as the Philippine Government is concerned.

how do i notify them?when i go to the philippines or while im still here?

  9. ok here's my story..I was married to a USC in 2002,we got married in the Philippines,I came here in 2004 via spouse visa, marriage was entered in good faith.we loved each other so much, when I came here In 2004, I have learned that he had a baby with other woman, while I was still in the Philippines he had an affair.I accepted that beacuse I loved him..we tried our best to saved the marriage but it's not working out anymore..he's not in love with me anymore

Since January of 2008 we have been living separately..he filed the divorce in august 2008, a month after I got my citizenship.

    I was really heartbroken.

In September of 2008, I started talking to my old friend who is my fiancé now..we knew each other wayback 1995,we were classmates in highschool but lost touch after graduation.he saw me in a social network and from then on we started talking,to make the long story short we liked each other and fell in love.

I went to the philipines to and stayed with him for 2months.from January -march.

My divorced was final in February.

I filed the petition when I came back,we are still waiting for our NOA2.I'm planning to be with him on his interview to give support. My question is besides the proofs of our ongoing relationship what else can we bring to prove bonafide relationship.

Also I know that they will ask him about my first marriage and might consider it a red flag, what can we can we bring with us to prove that my first marriage was entered in good faith,it just didn't work out.I'm also concern with the filing of divorce bec my ex husband filed the divorce after I got my citizenship.I want us to be prepared on the interview.

Would it help if I bring a statement from my ex husband?

Would it help if I bring birth certificate of my ex husband child?

    Please help us.thank you.

  10. Thank you for your replies.

No it was not denied, theY did not give her any paper, after the FPU(2nd interview) she was told that they will just call her.

They did not give her passport back but gave back the other proofs (letters, cards emails)

She was forced to signed the withdrawal for our K1 petition, but my fiancé did not sign any papers.

She was questioned and rattled for hours, she said to the IO if they have further q's I'm just outside they can call me but the officer said "no need"

honestly we don't know what to do..should we just wait??

We've been praying hard that everything will be alright and we can be together soon.

  12. UPDATE:::

my fiance had her interview monday,i accompanied her but i just stayed at the waiting area.she was interviewd for 6hrs been questioning her/rattling her.i feel sorry for her.they told her a lot of things which are not true, they even told her i had a bad background which is not true, she even told them to ask me to come inside so that they can ask me but they didnt call me.they've been forcing her to sign the withdrawal but she did not sign it.she questioned them everything over and over again.she was able to answer all the questions.she was interviewd by a filipino officer then a with a american officer who she said was a lot nicer!before she left she was asked to sign a paper then with the signature of the officer beside her signature, written there was all d questions they ask her and all the answer.

they told her they will just call her and was advised to bring her NBI id.they did not return her passport but they returned our pictures..

what is happening next?what can we do now?

we are all disheartened with everything that's happening.please advise us

    thank you and godbless us

  13. i was reading the thread of ariesgirl..been advised that she went through this also..

    from ariesgirl thread:

As i have read in some thread, there's what they called redflag, one of those is the big age gap. Of course at first since the consul didn't know the background of the relationship, and they think that there's something to be cleared of or to clarify, they forward the case to the fraud unit, who conducts interview in a very detailed way which takes long hours. The applicant will ask first to answer a 2 pages questionnaire which includes educational background, the name of the parents and siblings and their ages, the work history, the residence since birth, some questions about the relationship, how and where did u meet, if you have engagement ring, and even the home address sketch.

-----this is exactly what happen to my fiance, now my question is that was she on fraud unit already on her last interview basing on what ariesgirl experienced?this is all that she've experienced, ask her to answer a questionnaire, sketch home address, ask about parents and siblings..etc etc...

now my question is what is her 2nd interview for?another fraud unit????

    please help me...

  14. got an early flight and leaving tomorrow to be with her on her interview..how can they say that my employer paid for my trip when i can pay it myself.i have been working there EVEN before i met her.

can u please enlighten me would it be an advantage if i will be there??and if they ask me to marry her i can do it right there and then...

    would they interview me also???

    thank you
