  1. About the retrogression, I spoke with NVC a few minutes ago and the person I spoke with said that if we're given a schedule before January 1st, then we're not affected by the retro, but if not then unfortunately they go by the PD of that month. So technically, right now (December, where the PD is August 2010), we (or our spouses) can still be interviewed and given a visa as long as we get the schedule before the end of December. But if don't get scheduled (I really hope it won't happen), then we're screwed. sad.gif

There's still hope for us. Let's keep praying.. good.gif

Hi Kim, i just want to be clear about this and make sure I understand you correctly.

You mean if you received Interview Appointment before January 1 (even if the interview date will fall January 2011 or later) you are not affected by retrogression? Did I get it right.

Thank you so much for the update and for calling NVC.

    GOD BLESS US ALL!!!

  2. This the lawyer response me about recent F2A for spouse & children:

I am sorry, but yes, I did see that the FB 2A category has regressed quite a bit. This was not a shock because at the AILA Conference in November, we were alerted to this possibility. Not with standing the completion of the processing of your case at NVC, the final approval of your immigrant visa is dependent on the availability of visa number. Therefore, unless a visa number had been assigned to your case, your matter may have to be placed on hold.

The only other thing I can mention is that perhaps towards the end of the fiscal yer (say, between June/July to 09/1, further numbers may open up. We were told that the demand for the visa numbers was overwhelming in the last few months leading to this retrogression.

    I hope that this helps.

    Indu

If you have already received Interview date does it mean that VISA number was already assigned for your case?

  3. I dont think this is a mistake , it's an extremely sensitive issue , so they are not going to post any wrong info. They posted in December bulletin that they might retrogress. According to this Bulletin, they are not ruling out retrogression for the coming months. After analyzing all the visa bulletins , I also think that this one will continue.

    http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/Cut-off_Dates_worldwide_online.pdf

They have gone back six months actually. As of June 2010 , the PD was Jan 08. so they will either move forward to according to the previous growth or go backward similarly.

    but my question is :

    1. what will happen to those whose cases have been completed?

    2. Who already got their case number?

I am confident that , those who have got interviews , need not worry at all , they are out of this bulletin.

To research, have to study the Forum for cases in 2006 and 2001, when the Retrogression/ no movement was valid for five /six months

Thanks, Diar. Do you have the link to the Forum for cases in 2006 and 2001. I cannot find it.

  4. I hope that we will not be affected by this retrogression.

I want to share with you an information taken from US embassy manila website.

Basically, this is the stand of the embassy regarding people with interview dates scheduled but priority dates retrogress.

This is for F2B, F3 and F4 ( F2A was not yet included since there were still no retrogression at that time )

I don't know if giving the link from other site is allowed in this forum.

I will just put the details on how to find it.

Search in google "US Embassy manila"

Go to "visas" then "immigrant visas"

You can find the article under "Important notice"

eto yung nakalagay sa Manila Embassy website

If your case is affected by the retrogression and you have previously received a visa appointment notification from us, please do not continue with your medical exam and interview appointment at this time. When your case becomes current, you will receive notification from us on how to proceed with your application.

    ano sa palagay nyo guys?

  5. I just received the Packet 4 from US Embassy today via Air 21 at 6:30PM, I did not make any call. But I will probably call on Monday and ask them to move my Interview to earlier date, they scheduled my Interview in December 16, I am almost 36 weeks by that time, ayaw ko naman manganak sa US Embassy hehehe. Thanks Guys!

I give back to GOD ALL THE GLORY!!!!

    Thank you FAITHFUL JESUS!

  6. Yes, I agree with you Guys, let's give Mitch all the moral support that she needs, boost her and most specially pray for her and for one another.

My case was forwarded to US Embassy. Manila received it last October 29, but I still did not hear from them until now. Do you think I will give them a call already or wait for few more days to find out when will be my interview date?

But I am planning to get my Medical Exam in advance this Tuesday, Guys please do include me in your prayers, I am nervous and paranoid with this Medical Exam. By the way, I am almost 8 mos preggy now, hope any procedure they will do will not affect the health of this precious one on my tummy.

Thanks so much for this forum, really help me a lot.

Hi there, I cannot give answer to all your questions, but based on my friends case who used co sponsorship when they filed Affidavit of support, they will count all persons living on the same house. If the Mom of your co sponsors does not live on the same house, don't include her on the head count.

Not sure if that is right, any other answer?
