  1. hi,

i need help with this I-485 form please. I am the petitioner and im applying for my current husband my beneficiary, he came in as K1 and got married here within 90 days.. we need help with this form.

    Part 1.

C/O (in care of)..do i put my married name there now?

I-94# (were do i find the number for this?)

Current USCI Status ( what do we put here as his current status we got married before the 90 days..Married? or None?)

    Part 3.

    section A

In what status did you last enter? (visitor, student, exchange visitor, crewman, temporary worker, without inspection, etc.) do i put in "K-1 Visa"?

Marital Status: (do i checked "married" since we got married since he got here before the 90 days?

    section B:

List your present spouse and all of our children...

(on this section..should i type in my married name here..?

    thank you ..

  2. i am proud to say that my fiance finally received his visa!! after the interview and asking for more additional documents..we thought it will never end..but he got it from the air21 messenger and handed to him personally..we are sooo happy!!..

so wats the next step when he arrives to the US? can we file his AOS right away before we get married? how about his work? can he work right away? i want to make sure we got everything in order and not miss anything..this is all new to me..thank you

  3. My fiance had his interview in Manila Embassy. After the interview he told me how the interview went. Everything went well, he had all the necessary paperwork they ask and he answered all the questions they ask from him. after that, the CO told him to go to this window because they needed additional requirements from the petitioner (me) a letter of acknowledgement that i acknowledge his children and want it notorized. No problem, i have provided a letter of acknowlegement and it was notorized. mailed to him and he brought it to the embassy. later, he received another letter from the embassy with additional requirements asking from the petitioner to write a letter describing the circumtances under which me and my fiancé met, how the relationship was established to include how and when we met, proposal circumstances, future plans, etc..this is what the letter states.."We have reviewed your file and determined you must do the following continue/conclude the processing of your visa application"..i have attached on the I-129F how we met describing our relationship..why do they need another letter from me? do they need a detailed letter? has anyone of you gone this before..? im just wondering why are they asking additional requirements..what are they looking for? he wasnt denied..im just wondering..

on the letter they gave us a year to comply or else it will be terminated.

    thanks

your denied temporarily 221g as soon you obtain the requirements everything will be fine..

thank you for your reply..it didnt sound like he was denied or else they would have told him there. he didnt get any slips, stating if he was denied. they didnt question about his the documents. they asked for the letters that he and i send each other in which we had lots of that they took those. they said they needed additional requirements. but what puzzles me is why they are asking me to write the letter instead. instead of he and i u know what i mean? it just weird.

  5. my fiancee has his interview in manila sept 25th..he is 13 years younger than me.. we have alot of evidence to prove our bonifide relationships...just have a positive outlook im sure it will be fine..dats all we are doing is keeping our faith and praying..just make sure u have everything together and anser the questions truthfully..

I am 17 yr elder than my husband, We both have divorced status previously and our petition has now been approved and now the case is at the embassy and any time my husband be called for interview. I am eager to know if this age difference can be an issue while interviewing there or anything else to be considered in mind before appearing for interview in embassy?

  6. hi cool,

im sooo sorry ur going thru this..after all the time and effort to come here and be together. and now, seems like she is showing her true colors. she has a responsibility to you as a sponsor to support you financially so dat ur not a public charge. and top of it she got the nerve to bring in her ex husband to move in with you guys..OMG. all i can say to you is maybe seek a marriage counseling to make it work, but its up to you. if can stick around until u get ur conditional removed and move on life is too short..u dont deserve this treatment from her. if u need someone to talk as friend were here and vent out ur problems..its good to let it out..hope things will work out for you..

Guys i dnt know how to tell all that in just one Post, but will try to explain the Situation

My Wife and Me met online in 2005 decided to meet in person and when she went back to US filed for me.

came to US got married, even before we got married she asked me to look for a Job, because she was fired from her retail job, even before i got my visa she used to say once u come i will stop working.

well on every thing she have different "Alien" opinion then me .. actually from every body else around.. she dnt like to have any friends and not even saying hello to neighbors and i m totaly different so we have argument all the time about all the things

well 3rd week of my arrival in US i got job it was 4th or 3rd day of our marrige.. i m working... she decided to move to a Big apartment so "SHE" decided that we are going to move 3 bedroom apartment... she said it will be ok she gets partial disability money..

after 1st month of paying rent it was too much and she asked her ex husband to move with us so he can help in rent..

WHAT could i do?? i earn 1200$ and just rent was 830$ .. more over she used to use her ex husband's car whenever needed... so then she started saying buying me a CAR, we went to a car place choose a car financed it. i(Now i realised almost after one year that we have 25% APR because she have very bad credit)

i mean all this mess in her life and i feel like she got me here just to make her life easy.... Her ex husband moved out becasue we moved to a small apartment after few months .. infact we moved about 6 times in just 17 Months:S

i m amazed "Thats American Life"

when i was back home she said to me and my mom .... oh your son dnt have to pay me any thing just help me in the Bills... but eventually every thing came on my shoulders now ... i can not just explain all of this pain i m going through i feel so embarrassed. she is addicted to Alcohal and smoking so i have to pay for every thing.

Some time when we argue she says she will go to USCIS and remove my file...when i say that i will file against u that u r abusing me and using me to make her life better. she Calls me a Terrorist because i m Muslim, she says sorry then.

She is on Prozac and Paxil.

is she right in saying that i am responsible for her all needs she dnt have to work?

we will be married 2 years this agust still waiting for green card.

    Please give your opinions

Hello everyone. My fiance is about to start collating all data needed as an attachment for the k1 visa we are about to turn in. We've already signed important documents such as letters of intent to marry, g325a, among others which he brought with him just a few days ago after he spent time with me here. We would just like to know how it would appear like before turning it in so we have the right thing done. Does anyone have a picture of what it would be like after collating the data?

Thanks very much for the help.

  9. i see alot of younger filipinas with older american men in here..is der anyone older american filipinas with younger filipino men being petitioned? i like to see some opinions and comments to share with..thanks and godbless

By "Americans", are you referring to Filipino-Americans?

I've seen age gaps as much as 40 years. The only advice I received many years ago is that it is best to marry a Filipina that is close to 30 or older - I got that from a Filipino Pastor and friend of the family before I even began to consider marrying a Filipina. Generally you don't see huge age differences between Filipinos who live in the Philippines - I am assuming that would probably also be true between a Fil-Am and a petitioned Filipina.

In my particular case both times the difference was about 15 years.

  10. thanks for the response..i really appreciate it..

i called NVC to check the status of the case and the operator i spoke said "additional processing" the operator didnt really give much information of what it means. i told the operator that my approval letter NOA2 is up to July and she said if it goes beyond that they can fix it. they said as soon it process they will send the letter or package to manila and contact my fiance from there. so right now, what do i need to do? i dont know what package my fiance is suppose to recieve. can my fiance start working on his part while its under processing. i hate to see him scheduling the interview ahead of time and then doesnt have the package yet. should i just wait? do u know what "additional processing" do they meant? i have all other documents prepared like my affidavit of support. i know there are some other required documents i need to do..but i dont know..is there a checklist for me (petitioner) i need to prepare..after i recieved a letter from NVC with a case number and while is being process? my I129-F and G325 forms package went well with no RFEs..it took only 3 months and 14 days to get my NOA2. i was very happy for that..now this..huhuhuhuhu..im really nervous..any information you guys can help me i really appreciate it..thanks again for your all replies..god bless..

Hi! We also received the same letter. I think its a general letter they sent out to all. When we called the USEM here in Manila after 2 weeks from receiving this same letter, we were told that they still dont have our papers yet. When my husband called NVC to verify if our papers have been forwarded to Manila, he was told that we are still under "additional processing"....but Thats just our case, i have seen and read of people here in VJ who were able to schedule their interview as early as 2 weeks from receiving this letter....goodluck

Hi! I have read that they do accept scanned copy of NOA2....but if the original arrives to you, better send it to your beneficiary just to be safe......

  11. hello,

i received a letter from NVC stating that dey have received my I129-F approval and within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa- issuing post where the visa interview will take place. the letter was dated april 9th 2009. how will it take to get to embassy and to my fiance? thanks

  12. i use xoom to send money to my fiance to the philippines. i have a limit of $3k a month..but i dont send that much just $100 or $200 a month. when i do send it, i dont use my checking account with my routing number, becuz it takes 4 days to clear, so i use my debit card with a service $8 so it will be der in his account which he uses BDO in 24 hours. but of course the fee is not the same it all the depends how much u send pesos or dollar account..to me i rather use this service cuz of the convienence. i go online to do this rather have to drive to a remittance bank to send money. i did use wells fargo bank to send but dey only have BPI no charge, but when my fiance goes to pick up the money at that bank dey charge him a fee more than my service fee..so i stop using it. hope this helps..
