  1. three late feb filers got their noa2. now I am telling myself it is a matter of time until the first march filer.

    :) :) :) :) :)

I hope so too! I checked my account on the USCIS website a few days ago, and when I logged in, I was prompted to change my password. So, I thought, wow, maybe I've been touched or received some sort of status. Well, it was nothing because the date hasn't changed and it stills says pending as of my NOA1 date.

C'mon CSC, make this month a good one for us March filers!

  2. Frostymist, it's good that you can see your fiance again. Cherish the moment, and soon enough, the NOA2 will come. Hopefully everyone here as well.

I'm just waiting for my fiancee to arrive today. Her plane is supposed to arrive at 1:50 p.m., but it's been delayed by 3.5 hours! Now, she's supposed to arrive at 5:30 p.m. Grrr..... Oh well, I'll be happy when she gets out of customs. Hopefully, when she's here, the NOA2 will arrive in the mail!

    Hang in there everyone!

  3. Hi everyone!

I just found this thread and thought I should add toss our hats in here, since we're a March filer too (NOA1 was received on March 9).

Emmaline will be happy to hear that we're also a "January" couple: we were engaged on January 2nd!

I can't wait to see all of your updates as those NOA2s all come rolling in...hopefully we'll all breeze through as quickly as possible!

Welcome aboard! I, too, hope for the same!

  4. Relax! According to the USCIS website, it takes six months to process a I-129F. So, you have to keep a mindset that it will occur in six months. There will be those who will get lucky and get their NOA2 faster, even if they applied after. It's just the nature of the game!

Anyways, there are those that have applied a lot earlier that haven't received their NOA2. Until you hit six months, all you can do is wait and be patient.

  5. I never saw this threat. I sent it in on April 6th and received my NOA1 one week later dated on the 9th. Now the wait is starting to take its toll. And yes, I hate the weekends which means no possible news. :) I wish all of you a speedy approval.

It's funny because we normally look forward to weekends. However, in this case, I think most of us who are waiting agree that we are not looking forward to them, especially Sunday, when there's no mail.

  6. *Sigh*, what can we do? Not much at all, just wait and wait. Only thing I can do is keep myself occupied. May isn't over yet, but it doesn't look like there will be approvals. Yet, I still want to remain positive for all of us here.

At least my fiancee will be here next week, so at least there's something I'm really looking forward to. Who knows? Maybe I'll get the NOA2 while she's here. That will make things a lot more better!

  7. Yong, you are panicking right now. Relax! There are many people who've applied earlier than you that haven't received their NOA2 yet. Not one person in my March 2009 filer group, excluding the military expedite, has an approval yet. You've got to be patient. USCIS states that processing is currently taking six months. So, expect to wait that long. Who knows? You may get lucky. But, you need to keep six months on your mind.

Hi CF&CZ, do you how can I join the April filer group, or your march filer group for that matter? Also, you sent your i-129f on march 09 and received your NOA1 on march 12. Is that really true? I sent in my on april 20, it got to uscis on april 23, they notified me on may 5, they mailed my NOA1 to me on may 6, I received it on May 9. I wonder if they have slowed down right now.

    Thanks!

From what I've been reading in the forums, yes, they've slowed down a lot. If you look at April filers, it took a while before any of them got the NOA1. As for what's causing the slowdown? It seems that they're processing H-1B visas right now, and from what I read, it takes precedence over family-based visas. So, our petitions will have to wait.

You've got to be patient. I think six months is the correct target now. I know it sucks, but what can we do? It's out of our hands.

  10. Today is not a good day. Without knowing any dates and not being able to plan for any thing, the strain is getting her and she is talking about breaking up. Can't see me, can hold me, can't kiss me.

Please help out guys, what can I say or do. The earliest I can fly there isn't till Sept.

    :crying:

    Hi,

I'm a March filer that's waiting too. I know it's tough. So far, as I can see, for people with similar timelines as us (China fiancee), I've noticed that the February filers are getting approved. I think that your approval should be around the corner.

You need to let her know that she needs to stay strong. It's not easy not knowing how to plan things when it's out of your control. You need to keep in constant contact and reassure her that things will get better.

Good luck and hopefully you can get your NOA2 this week!

  11. I'm not seeing it either.

because there aren't any. soo sad. just talked to my sweeheart. he told me what every single plant looks like in our yard. we've planted so many last year.

anyways. really hoping that this maintenance thing from uscis brings up some new approvals. what else would you have to maintain on a case status page.

    can't wait to check tomorrow.

    Hope so!

  12. At first, when I received my NOA1, that's all I was looking for, the touch. However, after a while, I realized that many of the people on here don't really get any touches. Not only that, they don't really mean that much. I, like you, am a March filer (received NOA1 March 12). According to the USCIS website, the current processing time for the I-129F is 6 months. We're still well within that time frame, so there's nothing to worry about. After 6 months, then we panic!

So, I just bide my time and not worry about touches. I just hope May is a good month. The most important thing is when that NOA2 arrives in the mail!

From what I've been reading, there's is a major backlog in the system so not everyone will get the "touch." It's also no use checking the USCIS website all the time if you signed up for email alerts.

Just be patient, I know it's hard. But, we need to realize that we knew what we were getting into when we decided to start this journey.

  13. I typed in all kinds of numbers and saw other visa and if they were pending or got approved. then I was wondering if they could tell that somebody from the same IP is accessing all these cases and stopped. Do you think they can see something like that?

It's technically possible for them to track your IP, yes. I doubt they'd bother to worry too much about it though, since you're not really doing anything malicious. But, who knows? It's an interesting idea, but I don't think I'd risk doing it too often.

If they're going to be down for maintainance on Sunday, then that could well be a good thing. We've been somewhat lucky: we seem to be online, though haven't had any updates at all since the case was added to the system. :( It's pretty discouraging to see no updates, but I try to remind myself that it's probably just because the site records aren't up-to-date. Who knows, ours (or anyone's here, for that matter) could already be on its way to them right this minute!

When we first entered our petition, I really hated knowing that no matter what happened, I wouldn't be able to travel back to the US until next year. Now it's kinda been a relief, almost. I'd be going crazy if the only thing holding me up was the USCIS.

I agree with that, I don't think I'd risk doing that.

The USCIS is actually doing site maintenance? That sounds good! Hopefully, it will update everyone's file and it will actually post the files that have not been posted to the site yet even though they received their NOA1 hard copy. There were probably too many people complaining about not being able to see their case status that they're actually doing something about it. I hope starting next week, all of us should be able to see some kind of status, albeit a touch, that doesn't really mean much but the fact that they actually scanned our file.

  14. did you guys see this timeline http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=39877

somebody got approved with their noa1 date being the last day of february. that's pretty close to march, don't you think?

Just wondering if you are able to access your case online? We have the same submission and NOA1 date but so far have been unable to access our case online. Thanks.

Be persistent and find out from USCIS what happened to your case. Good luck!
