Hello, I just called the uscis and tried to asked if when is the right time for me to change the address coz we will be moving by June 12 from Texas to Massachusetts and they said 10 days after we move..I'm confuse beco'z some said u can change the address a day b4 moving...my case was transferred to California last Jan 15 and until now still pending..last update form my case was after my biometrics and they transferred to California...do I need to panic for this long waiting? Or I'm still in the timeline

hi i am just wondering how does it take for my local office in san antonio to send us my final schedule for my biometric? last dec.21 2009 i supposed to have my biometric appointment but they said my appointment was undeliverable to me thats y i called the USCIS and they sent me the same letter last january 27,2010. The letter states my biometric schedule b4 and below it was rescheduling appointment and there was an instructions that we need to send thsi letter to the local office so we did it we sent the letter february 01,2010 and my local office which is san antonio received my letter feb.2, 2010 but until now they didnt send me anything yet....do i need to start making worried now? or i just wait for it? i have a fear now becoz when we filed my aos we just keep waitng and waiting and we dont have any idea about the undeliverable letter of mine until i called the USCIS to update my status....any advice pls????i need an appointment soon coz they gonna move my husband to other station hes active duty in the militar ryt now so absolutely we will be moving to other states....answers are highly appreciated

is it necessary for u to get married @ new york becoz looks like they have a very strict policy. were from texas and we got married @ washington but they didnt find my social security number i only showed them passport becoz i just arrived under k1 visa and i applied for my ssn a day after my wedding and got the card 3 days after....in my opinion so many places wherein u can get married without needing the ssn. the important is u get married the soonest the possible b4 her stay here will expire....hopefully more people will read ur post and give u more better advice becoz hats all i know...gudluck

My fiance and I found ourselves in quite a pickle today!

My fiance just arrived one week ago on a K-1 visa, and we were heading to NY state today (we live in New Hampshire), to get our marriage license to be married in two weeks in NYC. Whilst in the process for applying for the marriage license, we were informed that NY state requires both parties to have a social security number in order to recieve the license. As we are getting married in two weeks, we ran to the local social security office to find out that they will not issue my fiance a ssn unless he has proof of employment authorization. But, we cannot obtain this until after we are married and filed for the AOS. This seems like a lose, lose situation but there must be something that covers K-1 visas!

Any suggestions? Comments? Knowledge?!? Please! We are to be married in two weeks from today!

hi we jgot an RGE about our income tax return copy from the USCIS but we submitted it already and now were just waiting for their call forthe schedule for the biometric. Im just curious coz i just wanna make sure that they recieve already the last papers we just submitted last end week of december. how can we make follow up unto this? was tehre any number for us to contact? ur answers will be highly appreciated

He can also get a copy of last years w-2 from the Coast Guard his employer, this will show his income

if i am u i will never ever trust him again never give him another chaNCE coz u have the ryt to love urself too. hello give chance to urself also sister. youve been forgiving him many times already and same thing is happening, it was so easy for him to ask and say sorry to u but he never proven u yet how sincere he was with his sorry. maybe hes not just the ryt guy for u sis. im not going to consider the distance as a factor for him to cheat you. me and my hubby tooks more than 7 months for the whole process but we never cheated each other..thats y trust is number one or very important in a realationship. you trusted him but he just cheated you many times and im telling you a lot more times...sis im sorry this is happening to you now. i will deport him if i were you becoz he will be more worst after he will become a permanent resident here and you will just lost everything to u. love urself too by not giving all to him leave something pride for uself too my sister! merry xmas and hopefully u will enlightened ur mind and make a wise and best decision. this is my own opinion and this is what exactly i am going to do if i am unto ur situation.

she need to go back to the embassy and re sealed it b4 she travel becoz only the security of homeland or immigration at her point of entry is allowed to open that yellow envelope. or else they will deport her immediately it happened already to my frend. very important she need to re sealed that b4 she travel.

hi everybody we filed our AOS last november and we just recieved a letter from USCIS stating reference initial evidence. im just curious how much is the poverty line? becoz my husband was making an E5 grade at the coastguard hes making more than 22k annually but we dont have the copy of his income tax return 2008 becoz when i had my interview in the philippines they took the original becoz i forgot to photocopy it becoz i thoguth they will still return it to me and this original copy of my husband income tax return 2008 was attached to my yellow envelope which i showed to the Homeland Security Department b4 on my port of entry.was there a way for us to request another income tax return copy and how? becoz he also doesnt have a copy of it. pls help us thanks

hi we just filed the papers for our AOS and the USCIS (Chicago) recieved already our file. i am just curious on how long we will wait for the call or what will be our next move for the AOS after the filling. by the way i entered states as k1 (fiancee) visa. i highly appreciate answers. tnx

hi vj members im here in states in a K1 or Fiancee Visa, were gonna file my AOS this coming 1st week of december and i am wondering about what my lawyer said that while waiting for december we should have to set an appointment to a doctor to check my vaccination records. Is this really required in filling the AOS? i have a 4 shot of vaccinations already in my country b4 i came here and i have my complete medical records. i am just thinking this will be additional expenses again for us for the vaccination if ever so b4 we will proceed to it i just wanna make sure that my fellow AOS fillers were doing the same procedure also as consulting to a doctor for the vaccination record.

hi i am here in states with a K1 visa. we got married last Oct. 23, 2009 and i applied for my social security number ryt after the wedding. everything was pretty good but i am a little bit confuse about my middle name now. my name is zenaida agtang manibog. in the philippines after marriage girls changing their middle name and we replaced it by our lastname like zenaida manibog mclain. my lastname b4 when i was still single should be my middle name after marriage but i am curiuos here in states becoz their middle names are different i dont know what i am going to declare. i asked my husband b4 i applied the ssn what am i gonna place here as my middle name now that were married? and he said just what is in ur birth certficate. so i followed him i placed there agtang my middle name when i was still single and another problem is my middle name in my birth certificate was not properly encoded they placed only initial which is A and not Agtang so i really dont know what to use. now were planning to file my AOS this coming december i want everything to be ok. anybody could give me an advice what am i gonna use this time on my AOS as middle name? is it my lastname when i was single or just follow my birth certificate since i started using it already in my Social Security

my fiancee was divorced too he sent the copies to me while i am single but during my interview @ manila embassy i still showed them the proof that i am single its called CENOMAR (certification of No Marriage) i dont know how they do it in ur country or the country of ur fiancee.

hi im not sure how is the rule there in ur country but me i paid 215 for the courier becoz they deliver my visa and paSsport...just bring money in case to avoid rescheduling another appointment...gudluck

hhi my vj members help im gonna fly to my fiancee on the 3rd of october but i checked my visa and there was a mistake on the address. the address should be port aransas but they encoded port arkansas. would this be valid in the immigration on my POE or there will be a problem im gonna encounter

hi i am going to fly @ Los angeles airport with a connecting flight to dallas and final destination to corpus christi texas with a k1 visa. i am just curious coz its my 1st time to travel and i am so nervous and worried becoz so many connecting flights. anybody could give me some tips or tell me the step by step on how to get lost at the airport or missed any flight?
