i'm just sick of jamaican politicians

after 2 yrs and all those promises

its more of the same and crime is getting worse

and they know who is doing the crime because they are the same ones providing protection for these gangs in the garisons they created

how can you be able to identify the amount of gangs in jamaica (over 150!!!!) but u can't get rid of them? in this small likkle island?

haaaaaaaa I see, well, I've been sick of it, but we can't give up hope. I remember sitting on a panel in DC and people were talking about how dangerous Jamaica was and that these resorts must warn their guest and tell them they can't guarantee their safety when they leave the protected walls of the resort, I just sighed. I hated it more when I heard other Jamaicans telling people not to visit the island period

I just got back yesterday from Jamaica. They told him his visa will be ready thursday or friday. I am so happy that this part of the process is over with. I would like to thank each and every yardie that has helped me through this process and for each and everyone that had me in prayers because I tell you what it worked, God is a good God and prayers he does answer all the time!! Well, just checking in real quick since we're at an internet cafe in Negril. We went to our 7:00 a.m. interview yesterday and......

I'll post more upon my return in 2 weeks since I don't anticipate being back at a computer until then. I'll tell you all that it went pretty smooth & we were out of there by 9:00 a.m. The ladies that saw us were both very nice. We managed to navigate our way through Kingston although we had a few hairy moments with him not being used to driving in city traffic & me trying to help him with road signs. We also stayed at the Prestige the night before & I highly recommend it.....decent price, A/C, good food & very close to the embassy. Now we just wait for the visa which God & embassy willing will only take 5 days....please pray for us so he can come home with me!

No time to catch up.....gonna have a lot of pages to read when I get back but hope everyone is good!

Hey I was due to have my twins in Nov too and I had them in Nov. I went 38 weeks with them trolls. I thought they were never going to come the heck out of there. I have a boy and girl that look like night and day...

Yardies, My soon to be hubby went to his medical today in Kingston. He said it took forever because there were a lot of people and he had to keep waiting for different steps in the medical. He said he need two more vaccinations that were not on his immunization card. They told us to bring 27,000 for the medical but he said it came up to 16,000. They said to call for the results on June 9th and he should be able to pick them up.

My soon to be hubby asked them when he comes to pick up the results will he be able to know them as well. He said they told him no, and they are not allowed, he can only find out at the interview. I thought some yardies knew their results before hand? I don't see what the big deal is.

I will be arriving in Jamaica on June 9th so that I can attend the interview on June 12th.

I am so excited, I was not expecting it to come until July but I am not complaining. We are just waiting on the actual interview paper from the embassy so he could go take the medical.

Congrats beautiful! You should call and have the interview scheduled anyway even though you don'g have the interview paper yet. They will probably set his medical date for May 29th so you still have a little time for it to come in the mail.

Hey all - I know I have been MIA, but work is shyt right now - they started the terminations in our dept, so far two down and everyone is on eggshells - on top of that, tomorrow is my last day of class and I am so behind, plus have finals =

If that's not enough stress, as things stand right now, the wedding is off - will explain more later - no other women, no typical issues - just trusting my gut instead of my heart, since it's broken at the moment. I will explain more later, but I have to try to shut this out and get through my finals - don't know how I will though.

Hey beautiful, am so sorry you are going through this. Please stop stressing yourself out, its wonderful that your health condition is much better now, but you want to keep it that way and by stressing you are putting yourself at great risk.

I just had my interview Monday and from what I saw that I-134 was a crucial document and the previous year W2's with it. The employment letter may help but may not be enough to show stability. Is there anyone else that you trust to be a co-sponsor for you. It doesnt have to be family, any close friends? I suggest you get a co-sponsor because you just never know.

Dont worry God has a way of working things out.

Hello, All my yardies and anyone that views this post.

I am really stressed out right now, any good advice will help out! Well, I thought everything was going ok until my mother decides she wants to back out and not help me sponsor my fiance. My fiance has an appointment on Tuesday to drop off the DS-230. And I am expecting to hear something from the embassy regarding an interview date possibly in July (this is what they told me when I needed help on a question) Hopefully after he turns in the DS-230 on Tuesday I should hear from them and we have a date in July. (I am going to keep my fingers crossed)

Well, I am a Registered Nurse, and I just recently started working again. I have been licensed for almost two years. I have not worked the full two years due to problems with my health. I have a heart condition. The past year has been crazy for me, in and out of the hospital. When I was working steady I had a decent pay check way over expected poverty guidelines. I can say that I am blessed again because my health condition is well under control now and my cardiologist is awesome. My doctor finally got to the bottom of a proper medical regimen and I have been doing 100% better. He even took me off my cardiac medications and I have not needed them. God has truly been blessing me. So I have been working again with the approval of my cardiologist. He says I have no limitations either, Full time work is ok. All I have to do now is follow up appointments and my last one was again good. To make a long story short I have started working only for a few months now but it is full time and I make well over poverty guideline. (The only reason I was going to have my mother co sponsor was because of my gaps of unemployment due to my medical, I felt it was better to have a plan b just in case. And if I did not need to use her that would be good too but I wanted to have her paper work with me just in case)

My supervisor states she has no problem with writing the employment letter and she would even state my potential for continued employment with the company. I also pick up prn nursing jobs on the side. But my full time job I make over 50,000 a year. I have not only filled for my fiance but his two children as well but his children will follow to join.

Only thing I could come up with is when I attend the interview, attach a letter explaining gaps of employment along with my salary now and I am capable of working full time (with my doctor's approval) I just hope that by me being a R.N that will help out also.

All I can do is pray at this point. I am so stressed out, all I have been doing is crying when I think about it because I feel we have got this far and why now this has to happen. My fiance tells me to relax and just keep praying and believing in god, because with god all things are possible. And that is what I have to do. I cannot start to make myself stressed out again knowing my past medical history. Hopefully the embassy will have some understanding.

Mister is VERY excited! I called him & he said 'soon call ya back' & I said, "NO, call me now, N-O-W, NOW!" He called back & I asked if he was ready for some good news. Then as soon as I told him he started giggling like a little boy!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you! Now you have to pray for me, my SO has a date at the Kingston embassy to drop of the ds-230 on May 5 th. I just hope it does not take them too long to put it in the system and we can possibly get an early date. When I emailed them regarding this they told me sometime in July. But June would be even better. I am sure it will not take that long for them to enter the ds-230 in the system! Because after May 5 I will indeed be emailing them crazy checking on the status and doing just what you did calling the state.

I would also want us to ride in a hot air balloon with a streamer that is attached saying "George and Lisa in Love forever" I would love to ride in the air and have people looking up at us broadcasting our love for one another. (yes, I am willing to try things like that!)

I am so excited!!!! Today is one of the most happiest moments of my life!!! I received my Ao2 my approval notice from USCIS!! (I have a p.o box and I did not check until today) I am also surprised I did not receive an email notification, but this is even better!!! I have been praying, praying and more praying. I have been going through so much this past year. I just had a recent death (my aunt) her funeral was on Wednesday, which I took very bad because she was like a mother to me. And just found out a close cousin of mine had a stroke two days ago, she was only 33 yrs. But God is giving me my strength to pull through. God Bless........... I did not do anything to expedite the process. Now the rest of the wait continues!!!
