  1. Hi, here's my situation:

We bought a house since September 2010 and moved then. But I had no idea that we have to file a change of address

to USCIS. It was only until we received a forwarding letter from USCIS a couple of days ago from the post office reminding us to file roc during the 90 days before my wife May 2012 date as well as an application for AR-11. And then when I came into the visajourney forum yesterday, I also realized that I have to file form I-865.

It is way passed the due date to file the change of address for the both of us. However I haven't file form I-751 for my wife yet. I'm currently preparing the documents at the moment.

Has anybody been in the same boat as us and are willing to share what we need to do and how did it turn out for you in terms of the late change of address situation. Are we going to get in trouble?

Any help would be much appreciated.

  2. DS-230 Part II, on Question 44: Were you assisted in completing this application? check "yes" or "no"

(if yes give name, address of person assisting you, indicating relative, friends, travel agent, attorney, or other)

I'm the petitioner, and helping her filling out the pdf version of the form and she will be the one signing it after printing it out on her side. Then sending it to the embassy.

On the example form of ds-230 here on VJ: it was marked "no"

My question is, is it a "yes" or a "no" for us. No one is helping us filling out the form. it's just us, my fiancee and I.

Also, the current pdf version of DS-230, downloaded from the embassy's website, questions are marked with different numbers than the one sent in packet 3 via postal mail, although the whole entire forms' layout and questions are the same. Is it ok to send in the current pdf version?

for example: the one sent via mail has the same layout as the example form ds-230 here on VJ:

    http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-DS-230.pdf

but the pdf has this layout instead: http://travel.state.gov/pdf/DS-0230.pdf

    Any help is greatly appreciated

  3. Hi thank you for replying back.

You mean they will send the packet 3 to me not to my fiance in Cambodia?

As for the medical, can she just walk into the clinic that are approved by the embassy or does she

need to have some paper works with her? And does anybody happen to know how long the medical

report is valid for? Because we don't want to get the medical done and the embassy said it's not current

at the time of the interview.

I went to the embassy's website but could not locate their email at the "contact us" page. If anyone happen

have it, please post it here.

    Thank you very much.

  4. Hi everyone, almost two weeks ago I received a letter from the nvc that the packet is being

    sent to the embassy.

So my fiance is still waiting for packet 3. Is that how the process works? the next step is receiving

    the packet 3?

I would like to know ahead of time, what she needs to send in to get an interview date and packet 4? Is the form I-134 (affidavit of support) required to be sent along with the form ds-230 part I in order to book the interview or it's something that she takes along with her to the interview?

And also what are the required supporting documents for I-134 besides the irs 1040 if you've met the poverty line requirement as indicated on the 1040.

  5. Hi guys, thank you for all of these replies. It's so helpful.

Now i feel better about the passport photo. I was about to call her to send me another one

with the exact dimension as mine lol.

I did look at my certificate, over and over again. there's no place indicated.

I was never swore into. I was a citizen through my parents and i got mine in the mail.

but when i look at my parents' naturalization certificates. theirs actually have a place indicated.

so do i just put "place N/A" or what?

prior to reading this particular forum, i was told not to put the A number b/c as a citizen you don't have

one anymore and just put "None" and the cert number, date, and place to

put "copy of US passport provided"

Thank goodness I found this forum. so stressful...just wanted to do this right and go smoothly.

  6. first of all congratulation bubbletea.

I also have engagement photos but was told not to send it in but it's cambodian's tradition to have engagement ceremony.

So to send or not to send?

For those who have a certificate of citizenship. did you supply the A# on 1-129f or write "None"?

and the question for the certificate number, date, and place.

There's no place indicated on the certicate, only cert number and date. how do u fill that part out?

I'm also submitting my passport as a proof of citizenship.

my fiance mailed me her passport style photo but when compared to mine, her's is smaller...is this going to be a

    problem?

Please help out if you could.

  7. Ok, some are saying do not leave anything blank. The last advice given indicated that i don't have to

fill in every empty spot. The sample forms on here left those empty space provided blank.

Who should I follow? I really want to do this right the first time.

For those who followed the sample forms and actually answered "None" and left every empty spot pertaining

to the same question blank, did your application go through fine?

  8. Hi everyone. I'm beginning to fill out form I-129 and G-325 to sponsor my fiance from Cambodia

    to the USA.

I'm following the samples posted here but wanted to make sure I'm filling it correctly.

If someone could help out, i would appreciated a lot.

    Form I-129F:

Question 9, 10: names of prior spouses, date(s) marriage(s) ended:

there are 4 blank spaces provided for each question. i put "None" on the first top blank space. Do I need to write

"None" or "N/A" to the other 3 or just leave it blank?

Question 11 of "information about you" : i mark "No", so do i leave the space provided blank?

Question 12 of "fiance information": I mark "No" on question 11. So for question 12, I put "N/A" for the first blank space provided. Do I also write "N/A" to the other blank spaces or leave it blank as is?

Question 13: I put "None" to the first top space provided. Do I put "None" to the rest of the blank spaces or leave it

    blank?

Question 16: I put "None" for the first space blank (Name). Do I leave the rest blank?

Question 17: I mark "No", do i leave the blank space provided blank?

Question 19: I mark "No", do i leave the blank space provided blank?

    Part C:

Question 1: I put "Not in Military Service", do i leave the other space provided blank as is?

    Form G-325A:

On line "Husband or Wife (If none so state.):

I put "None", do I leave the other spaces provided on the same line blank as is?

On line: "Show below last occupation abroad if not shown above."

I have none. So do I leave that section blank?

On line: "This form is submitted in connection with an application for:

I mark "Other (specify") and put in "I-129F Petition".

I did this for both my fiance and I. Is this correct?

On line: "If your native alphabet is in other than Roman letters, write your name in your native alphabet below:

she has none. So is putting "N/A" the right thing to do?

Thank you very much for any help.
