  1. Hi Guys,

I just got an update yesterday regarding my N-400 application. Form I-797C came in the mail, priority and received dates are the same June 19, 2013. Notice date June 21, 2013. I sent in a money order so i dont know exactly when they cashed it. Please anyone update my status. Eligible date was May 10, 2013, and update my field office too Milwaukee, WI. Just called USCIS and they just mailed my biometrics appointment letter yesterday, so that means i should be getting it on Monday:)

    Thank u guys.

  2. In the five years I have been on this board, this is the first time this question has been brought up. With marriage, suppose to be able to prove you are living together. To the best of my knowledge, never even asked if the US citizen spouse received a parking ticket, and let alone being in jail.

Then is it a jail for some short term or a prison with a life time sentence?

Somebody with far more experience would have to answer this question. Not easy to find anyone on that USCIS 800 number that knows anything. Perhaps an immigration attorney?

I believed he's sentenced for 18months in prison. Ryt now, he is in correctional and he'll be transfer. He was in an accident 2 years ago and flee the scene.

  3. Hi VJ's,

    Any input is appreciated.

Anyway, I am now eligible for naturalization. I'll be 3yrs lawfully permanent resident in June 2013, meaning I am eligible for N-400 application this month (March). Married to a US citizen for more than 3 years now, however my US citizen spouse is in jail for almost 7 weeks now. Him being in jail will it affect my eligibility of becoming a US citizen? I am now working with papers and documents that I'll be needing for N-400.

I would appreciate any information! Thanks Lots!

  4. Hello VJ memebers/April Filers,

Maybe I can get help from here. Anyway, I submitted my I-751 on March 30, 2012, NOA1 April 04, 2012, Biometrics May 14, 2012. Im a little worried right now right after I read a post here on VJ about change of address. Here's the situation, couple months ago hubby and I moved in to a different city, a month later I submitted AR-11 to change our address (no I-865), I even talked to a USCIS agent (September 19, 2012)about the confirmation of the address, then on September 21, 2012 I got a letter on the mail stating that ("Recently, you called us to update your address. We have updated your address in our systems and on your applicantion or petition.") Should I get worry that I didnt submit I-865? Should I submit I-865 asap? or Should I wait till I hear from them if they needed more information? it has been 5 months tomorrow since my Biometrics.

Any information I would appreciate. Thank you

  6. Hello Vj member,

I have a question about my biometrics appointment, it will be on the 31st of this month. Will it be alright to show just my passport? I did applied for a Ssn after marriage but the Social Security office here did not accept my application for the reason that i am already married and no longer a k1 visa holder. I cant apply for a state id for the reason that i dont have Ssn as one of the requirements. Now am a little bit worried cause they might not accept my passport. I heard from others that state id also is important to have for biometrics appointment.

Please if u could give me some infos about this matter. It will be so helpful.

    Thank u much...
