All over! Here is my interview experience. Got there 50 minutes early so I stayed in my car cause notice said not to go in more than 30 minutes early. Went in 10 minutes before, long line in front was wishing I went in earlier. Finally got to the reception desk at exactly 10:15am. IO called me 40 minutes later, made me stand and swore me in. Gave me 6 questions,

What is Amendment

Capital of your state

what do we show loyalty to when we say pledge of allegiance

who signs bills to become laws

who vetoes bills

supreme law of the land

made me do the writing test and reading test...

Passed. Went over my application and asked me if i wanted to do oath today? I said yes and that was it. Did oath and was done got my certificate and everything!

My immigration journey has ended!

All I remember was extremely a loooooong wait, nothing else. First they did tested me on the US gov, history, English. Questions were easy like:

1. when was the declaration of independece adopted?

2. how many years do we elect a president?

3. longest river?

and others that I do not remember. I answered all six correct and they stopped.

Then reading part - something about Lincoln. Easy! And writing: Licoln was a president during the civil war.

That's it. Then another hour of waiting and finally the interview, which went smooth - maybe max 10-15 minutes. That's it. Then again they had me wait to hand out the official oath ceremony documents and where and when will they be held. That's really all.

They did go through the application very, very thoroughly, but with no problems of whatsoever, if you say the entire truth. Hope this helps. All I can say as a few words of advise - do not worry, if you were always honest with them, you will do very well and it would be a simple mere formality. Thank you guys for everyone's support! Just got yellow letter in the mail. But no Interview Letter yet. Hopefully soon. Looking at other Atlanta filers on this Forum, it took about 2 months between Fingerprint and Interview letter. SO maybe 3 more weeks.

Also on M476, page 25, it says "unless a traffic incident was a fine" meaning even uscis dont regard traffic as an offense or crime. So i would think only include it on Q16 as a citation but its not a criminal offense.

I found this online:

"Every traffic violation ticket identifies one of two charges. If it specifies a "civil infraction," it's not a criminal offense; the penalties are fines and/or points on your driving record. More serious infractions like driving under the influence or leaving the scene of an accident are "traffic misdemeanors," which are criminal convictions if upheld in court."

So I think traffic violations like parking tickets are civil infractions not criminal offenses. So I think only yes to Q16. Eventhough it says offense, I think they are only referring to criminal offenses and not civil offenses....

This is interesting. I have been delaying my application for weeks trying to make sure I gather enough supporting documents when I could have filed a while back. Thanks for the information. I will go ahead and mail my package. I assumed I had to have EVERYTHING similar to removing conditions when I mail my package. Thanks guys, will keep you updated on how things go!!

On both of those guides, it says Documents referring to you and your spouse: Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children.

Is that all you guys sent? Just those documents or did you send additional docs?

Hi, I have been eligible to file for naturalization since December. I finally decided to file. My question is what documents did you guys send? When I filed the remove conditions, I sent a ton of documents! But I heard with N400, you don't need to send as much as with removing conditions.

I read somewhere on here, where someone filed with only N400, Copy of Green Card and Marriage Cert. he got a letter to bring additional documents to Interview (same letter everyone gets).

So what are the documents that MUST accompany application?

Hi, I am filing for citizenship in December and wanted to find out some basic information. I noticed in N400 that I can change my name. But I want to do same day oat. I have been researching online and I found out that if you want name change in Atlanta, it is a real hassle. I read one guy said he applied with his wife and it took months...like 8 months....and 4 infopass appointments to get oat ceremony letter after interview!!! I thought that was crazy and someone said it is best not to do name change on N400 and just go to District court before you apply for your passport and do the name change. Any ideas or thoughts? ANyone who has recently gone through this process? Any advice...

By the way, I am only trying to change my name back to my maiden name. I never asked to change my name to my married name. It has really been a hassle since i had my green card. Especially with my school (which has my maiden name) and I already had well established financial life before marriage. Every time I apply for jobs, I always have to send my marriage certificate to show why some documents (college diploma) has a different name from my social security card and ID, and also, when they call my previous job for reference, it is always a hassle, because i worked with my maiden name at my old job where i worked for years and always use as a reference.

So any advice would be much appreciated.

Just received approval letter in the mail....!!! What a relief!!! Phew, After checking this page repeatedly, I eventually decided to stop checking and just as I did, I got the letter. I will update list. No email for me too, nothing online.
