I had my interview this morning and my visa was approved!!!

Ok guys, maybe a stupid question, but how do you know if NVC receives your case and when they are done with it?

This is what I did. I didn't wait for any letters to arrive from NVC. I just called them (603-334-0700). Their line seems to be busy most of the time, but I just kept dialing for a while and finally got through. The customer service there is VERY nice, I was very impressed. They asked for my USCIS receipt number and gave me all the information. Turns out they received my case in the middle of last week (USCIS mailed it out on the 9th) and they already sent it to Warsaw today!!! :dance: The nice lady also gave me my case number for the embassy. So, indeed, things seem to be happening quite rapidly once you get your NOA2!

Hopefully, mine is coming soon too. Looks like you guys live right there in Cali, so the letter got there fast. I am in Seattle, so it might take a few extra days to get here.

Except that you never really know with USCIS. I know there are still people who filed in January, who are still waiting for their approvals. Even things such as touches and case updates are all different for different people. Some get touches, some don't, some get status updates and approval emails, some don't. But the good news is that CSC is moving along with K1 visa approvals now. So, our approvals will arrive soon, I know it.

Man, at least you get touches. We got our NOA1 on the same day with you, but nobody is even touching us....

Guys! Cheer up, none of the february filers will be stuck here for 6 months. Telling you, we all need to get our NOA 2 within 3 months after NOA1.

Hello! Seems I am losing any patience now. Can anybody tell me why the current processing date for K1 california on this site started moving backwardS? It was Feb 9th, then 6th, then jan 29th, now Jan 9th? How is this possible and what this means?

I know what you mean. Mine use to say the first part of next month, now not till July or Aug. I will need to stop looking at my timeline.

Yeah, you are a week before us! So will follow you, you better hurry up with your NOA2. We planned to get married 09/09/09

Is there a trick how to get NOA2 as soon as you did? Did you do DCF? Or perhaps in the military?

Thanks for your wishes Katrina!!!...Hhhhmmm.... No DCF nor in military...no trick really... honestly was quite surprised at how fast things have been. Its kind of bitter-sweet for us having ours approved quick and seeing others wait longer... takes off the joy in it... But oh well.. it is what it is... and all we can do is pray it will all come sooner for you guys...It came when we really least expected it...Hope you hang in there and that the wait isn't as heavy as its suppose to be...

If you are still interested. My aunt got married to an American. She was a Russian citizen from Transnestria. Her interview was in Romania. She as a russian citizen (not moldovan) needed a visa to go to Romania. To get the romanian visa she either had to apply for it from Chisinau (Moldova) or Odessa (Ukraine). No difference. Best advice - go to Odessa, less crowded. Good luck!

I am new here. we filed from Colorado to California Feb. 21. NOA 1 received by mail on March 2. Waiting for NOA 2!!!!
