  1. Hi VJ peeps (Josephine and Steve, Myren and James, and Mariz and Polo.

My husband and I were wondering if you have had any changes in your status since receiving your I-129F NOA1? We sure would appreciate any insights or updates on your status. We have been waiting for the NOA2 to come out and we check the immigration status table frequently to see how CSC is doing on a per month basis.

Hope to hear from you guys soon.

    Thanks!

Hi! I just happened to check this post today and I'm happy to tell you that both our I-130 and I-129F were approved last July 9. To God be the glory!

I'm sure your approval is on its way. God bless!

  2. I did enter my wife's petition and USCIS case number on my daughter's I-130 in that section but I don't think it will ensure they link them up for joint processing automatically.

I'm going to try to request that the NVC marries my 2 case up once my daughter's I-130 has been approved.

By the way, do you guys know how long on average it takes for the California Center to approve an IR-2 application? My daughter's have been sitting there for almost 2 months and no NOA2 yet. They say it may take up to 6 months but I think timeline is actually shorter.

Hi! We are in the same situation. My husband filed my I-130 last January 2006 when he was still an LPR and upgraded it last March 28 right after he became a USC. You are blessed that you immediately got your wife's approval for her I-130. Unlike us, we are still waiting until now. We also filed for our daughter's I-130 last April 3 and we are also waiting for her approval.

I'm glad that I found this thread because we also do not know what to do if in case our petitions will be approved separately. Kindly give us an update once you go through the process. Thank you in adavance.

  3. Hi! I'm not sure if I can join this group because my I-130 was filed last January 2006 while my husband was still an LPR. However, he had upgraded it last March 28 after his oath taking and in fact,we have received a letter from USCIS regarding the upgrade.

Just like most of you, I am guilty of checking our status everyday but unfortunately its still shows that it was last touched last Oct. 2008 :( I'm getting frustrated with this because I have seen one case that got approved 11 days after they have received a letter regarding their upgrade. I've come to realized that not all cases are the same but I'm still hoping that we can get our approval soon.

By the way, my husband also filed an I-130 for our daughter last March. We received the NOA1 last Apr. 3 but just like mine, we're still waiting for the NOA2.

Good luck to all of us!

  5. i am using nclexrn review by saunders and its also good.. some of my friends told me that local board exam is harder than nclex.. how true?

I also used Saunders when I had my review, and I highly recommend it. I also availed of the NCSBN review online and this was very helpful as their questions were very similar to the NCLEX questions I got.

For those who are still in the Philippines who have enough time to enroll in a review center, you may try Universal Review Center (URC), they have high passing rate and their fee is not that expensive. I just want to make clear though that I am not connected to them but I just want to be of help to those who are planning to take NCLEX.

I agree that local board is harder in such a way that you do not know what kind of questions might come out. Unlike with NCLEX, as long as you know the ideal set up, you know how to answer the question.

  6. When I checked the status online here's what I received... What happens after this? What does an APPROVAL NOTICE means? Until now, no letter or update regarding the petition. It was filed march 3, 2003. Does it usually take this long or I'm missing something here... Hope someone can help me with this. Attached is the update on the USCIS site. Thanks

    Receipt Number:

Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On June 14, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

You can choose to receive automatic case status updates, which will be sent via email. Please click here to create an account online.

Well you are not really giving us enough background to give much help. But I am going to venture to say that this is a first notice (NOA1) and it means that it has been accepted for processing only. When was paperwork submitted? Please provide as much detail to your posts as possible and you will usually get a fairly fast response. Fill out timeline stuff would help also.

    Good luck

    hi

as of our case... we search our case at uscis case online and they said there that our case is received and pending.

what does the meaning of that? is there any prob. to our document why they pending our case??

my husband filled petition for me OCT 18, 2005 I130 He is (LPR). he only received the notice receipt and nothings follow. please give some advice. thankz

Have hubby get his citizenship and upgrade your case.

yup...my husband going to take his oath taking this march 19 2009.

and we were planning to upgrade the petition.

    how long the processing takes??

Looks like were in the same situation. My husband will have his oath taking on March 25 and were also planning to upgrade our I-130 petition. Which route are you taking? IR1 or K3?We would want to have the IR1 but our problem is that we have yet to file our daughter's I-130. We are afraid her approval will take longer. Hence, were planning to take the K3 as she is a derivative of my petition. But nothing is final yet. We will file for I-129F to be sure.

I've seen a case wherein it only took them 5 months from the time of upgrade to the interview in Manila US embassy. I pray our case will be like them. God bless us :)

  7. My husband filed an I-130 petition for me in 2006 when he was still a an LPR. He will ba having his oath taking on March 25 and we are deciding whether we will be taking the K3 or the CR1 after he files for an upgrade of my petition.

I have read a lot of advantages of the CR1 and we would like to take this path. However, he has not yet filed for a separate I-130 petition for our daughter, he will file it after his oath taking. We are afraid that our processing will take longer if we are to wait for our daughter's approval. This leads us to choose K3 so our daughter will be a derivative of my I-130.

Kindly enlighten us so we can make the right decision. Thank you!
