Wow, feel like we are the last of the group, but we got notification that the interview has been scheduled. So we are waiting for the letter now. FINALLY!

We called the USCIS yesterday. Supposedly they will send us our interview letter in 15 days. Let's see....

myp3uk, we've been inline since April 4th, and still nothing.
Congrats to everyone who passed the itnerview. It is sad but everytime I look at this thread I get upset. I am still wating for my interview to be scheduled. The status was updated to "inline for scehduling" on May 8th...

Yeah there are a few of us still waiting. I would say if we didn't hear anything within the next month, then we should be worried.

We still haven't heard anything. Kinda frustrating, when my cousin who applied a week before us is already done like a month ago. I hope we hear something in next 2 weeks.

We got a yellow letter on Saturday asking us to bring a copy of the license. How long does it usually take people to hear something after getting the yellow letter?

We looked on Craigslist & saw a post to work at a new cafe opening nearby. My husband applied last week, had interview this week, & got the job. That was the first place he applied.
To add to the blessing, it's a Jamaican restaurant... and he's FROM Jamaica. We didn't even know that when we applied.

Hi guys. I got married in Nov. 2009. I thought that as long as I got married before the end of the year I would be able to claim my husband on my taxes for 2009. But now my accountant says I can't have my hubby as a dependent because he hasn't been a resident for 6 months. How did you all handle this? If I am going to tell my accountant he is wrong, I want to know what I am talking about. Thanks a bunch!

Strangely, I got a text yesterday at 1am saying that on March 16, they mailed us a notice that they'd approved the adjustment of status. But.... we'd already received that approval in the mail a few days beforehand.
I got like 3 of these messages. And we got the green card the day after the last message was sent.

Thank you so much. Definitely a big weight has been lifted off our shoulders. I was just in Mexico last week on a business trip. The weather was lovely! I'm sure you guys will have a wonderful time. Call the Mexican consulate first, I don't think he needs a visa. I think with his GC he is good to travel, but of course verify first.
I will check. But I just had some Dominican friends that went to Mexico, and they all needed visas. Nice place for a business trip!

You filled it out yourself? No civil surgeon at all?
Nat- we sent in the I-693 with it signed and filled out except for the medical information that was to be filled out by the civil surgeon. I also sent in the copy of the medical done in the Dominican Republic. Then when we got the RFE for having an outdated exam, I again sent in a letter explaining it was recent, and another copy of the medical showing the correct date.

One other thing I will mention, now that we are approved. (I got another email today saying that the card was mailed) We did NOT submit the medical. Yes we did receive an RFE. But the RFE simply stated that the medical was over a year old. So I took a chance and wrote back saying that the medical was current. I also attached copies of the medical, with the RFE. We filled and signed out all parts on the I-693 when I submitted it originally. I don't know if that set us apart from other people who received RFE's. And I am not saying other people should go this route. But we didn't want to shell out another $100+ dollars for something that was done already. So it worked for us. I tried Dr. Arnold but he retired. So just wanted to let you guys know that for December fillers, there was a success story of not going to a Civil Surgeon for the I-693.
I wish everyone else speedy recoveries...and perhaps some of us will meet up again when it's time to remove conditions.

Just want to say, looks like we were approved!
On March 5, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.
That last part makes me a little nervous, but I think this is it. I will wait to see what the letter says in the mail. And I didn't get an email about this, I had to check my status online.

I-485 adjust status
I-94 to prove entry
Any other forms?
