Hello and thank you for taking time to read this.
I'm in the process of filing N-400 for my wife and step-son, they came in the USA as K1 and K2.
I'm just wanted to know when I file the N-400, for my wife and list her son.
Sorry I know this may have been asked several times.
1) What do I do for the stepchild?
2) Do I have to pay another fee?

Since you will be going in March to meet her, you have plenty of time to read up on the guides here. In deciding which route to go, K-1 or CR-1, read this: http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare
Only you can decide which way you feel is better. Once you decide, then read the guides for that visa. Also look at the example forms so you have an idea how the forms look, what information you need, etc. It's also a good idea to browse the forums and read the various threads about questions that are being asked. If you prepare yourself like this now, you will realize you don't need a lawyer, and you can do all of this yourself with relative ease.
Zedayn is right on the money here. I had file a K-1. You can file everything yourself. Save your money until you need it. Couples of thing I want to add. 1) When you file it yourself you want to make copies to keep. Best way of doing this is scan everything into PC and make serveral backup copies. Keep an e-copy. 2) I bought 1 book from Nolo Press, Fiance & Marriage Visas, it help. Beside VisaJourney forums it was my other source. We have done everything ourself. No lawyers. Forget K3, CR-1 is better. K3 I think is being phase out. So your choice is K-1 or CR-1. When you do go over to visit her, take several forms with you. K-1 or CR-1 forms. This way she can sign them right there which ever you do decide to file. Good Luck on the trip and enjoy.

Hello All,
My wife and step-son have received their Green Card back in July 2010. But we did not have to go to a interview. Here is my question, If and when we travel outside the USA, which I know is going to happen, what do they need to take with them to get back in the USA?
Thank You,

My Fiancee family moved from Cagayan de Oro after she graduate from High School at 17 to Pureto Princessa.
I was on the Manila Embassy Site it states "A fiancé(e) is considered an intending immigrant and therefore must present documents similar to those required for an immigrant visa applicant. These include: a valid Philippine passport; a copy of the applicant's birth certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and printed on NSO security paper; legal documents proving the termination of a previous marriage; NBI clearance; police certificates from all foreign countries where the applicant lived for at least six months starting at the age of 16".
Does she need to go that far back to age of 16 and get a Police Certificate from Cagayan de Oro?
If so, how could she get one without going back to Cagayan de Oro?

Have a question; Send Originals Documents or Copies to fiancee for her interview??? Her K1 petition, pictures and such.
