  1. hello,

My sister in law was been going back and forth to the Philippines she arrived here in the states later time of 2006, and 2008 she go back home to the Philippines and stayed their for 5 months, come back here in the states at later time in Sept. And again go back home to the Philippines last January 09... Now, prior to her leaving she process her 10 year green card, done his biometrics just in case, though they already decided with her hubby to leave the states for good... because of some uncertainties and circumstances she decided to come back and just right time that her green card was approved. But she has no stamped oh her passport and no parole to travel ( with a 2 year expired green card)? Now she told me shes good to go back here but am not sure because i heard that you need stamp and AP or parole to travel docs..... your not even allowed to leave and travel outside if the papers is not completely done right?.

Now her aunt believe that its ok so she claimed the green card send some letter in California service center and she got it and will mail to the Philippines tomorrow... i dont know i read your comment and i believe u know something about this hopefully u can share it to us....

    More power to u

  2. I got my interview date too this july 16,09 all the information is gathered except for my husband kids birth certificate, his kids is grown no costudy thing or child support anymore since his done to all of it. Im so confuse coz theres no way we could get all of his kids birth certificate one of them is not even here in colorado. please if u guys have any idea it might be a big help for us.

Anyway this is how it was stated in the list "If your eligibility is based on your marriage, in addition to your spouse coming to the interview with you, bring

"If either you and your spouse were ever married before, all divorce decrees copies "which we have already have a copy" and birth certificate for all children of this marriage, and costudy papers for your children and for your children not living with you. Do you think this is only applied to kids under 18 or what coz it dont make sense to me his oldest daughter is 22 and the youngest is 19 and this youngest girl have kids already and married too so basically all of them are all grown.

Pls pls i need ur help!!!!!

    thanks,

Guys, I am gathering documents to show bonafide relationship for our AOS interview next week.

My main question is: we have hundreds of emails and also online chats from when we were dating. I don't want to print it all ($$$)... HOW MANY emails should I print? A few samples for different time periods? HOW MANY? 10? 50? 100?

I also don't really want to print online chats... should I?

    Documents I am taking:

    - Joint 2008 tax return

    - Joint health insurance (from my hubby's work)

    - I just added him to my bank account so we won't have statements together, only a letter from the bank saying we have a joint account together. Is that too bad?

    - Pictures of our one year relationship (including a few with him meeting my parents and sibling who visited here, and only 2 of me with his parents, and also civil wedding pictures with one friend only)

    - Joint utility bills: electric, gas and cable bills for 1 or 2 months (got married about 3 months ago)

    - No joint lease (he moved in to my apartment)

    - No joint cellphone

    - I have a train ticket from when I visited him one weekend while he was in college...

Do you guys think this is enough evidence? Interview came too fast, we thought we would have more time to gather things.

Hi, we have our interview in Houston this Thursday. I've been putting things together last minute. I don't have a certified copy of our marriage license. The only one we got was the one we have already sent in with the I-485. I'm kinda nervous. I have the original marriage license, but it isn't certified like the other one that we have already sent in. Do you think this will be acceptable, seeing that on the letter we recieved in the mail one of the things we were supposed to bring was a certified copy of it????

Also, it mentions to bring along my husband birth certificate (he's from Ecuador) Again, the only one we actually have is a copy. The original we sent in with the I-485 AOS packet. I'm nervous about these two items. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts about these two issues?

I know I'm a slacker! I probally should have been more worried about his a week or two ago.

    grrrr

Had you filed your '08 return when the I-485 was submitted? If no then you definitely should take that, especially since it's (presumably) a Married Filing Jointly return, it's evidence of your relationship as well as supporting the I-864. Even if your '08 return was in the original packet, I'd still take copies just in case. Better to have a hundred sheets of evidence that you never need than to not have one document when asked.

Please fill your timeline so we can better see where you're at :)

  6. I received a RFE mail requesting for the most recent year tax return. Does it mean they want the tax return forms for 2008? We filed the tax return of 2007, and we haven't filed the tax return to IRS for 2008.

    hello,

Hope u don't mind asking you some questions but before that wana tell u first how my papers go. So last january 27, 2009 we filed I-485 & I-765 or my change of status at chicago, my biometrics was done last feb 27th,09... after a month a recieve an RFE requiring us to submit my husbands recent 2008 1040s and w2s, employment letter indicating dates of employment, wages and salary, numbers of hours worked nature of the job since we only submit w2s 06,07 and an estimated numbers of 08 income tax return. My problem is my husbands job has a new policy of not giving out information of income anymore, so i decided to submit the 2007 employment letter it has everything there the same address, dates of employment , nature of the job,and hours he worked, except for the year they wrote that letter and the per hour of salary since he just had an increase. I also include my husbands recognition letter indicating of a job well done. Am confused i think thats way enough but let me know what u think

So i submit 1040,w2s 08, pay stubs, recognition letter dated feb 09, and a 2007 employment letter do u think this is enough????

    thank u

  7. I would call USCIS and ask them to do a service request. They'll do this if it's been more than 90 days since your NOA1.

I'm a July filer and received my EAD and AP in October (about a month after most people who applied around the same time I did), and I still don't have an interview date. My local office is also Detroit.

It's frustrating, I know. But you can call USCIS and make a service request. That's a lot faster than going for an Infopass appointment.

  8. I'm a mailed in November/NOA in December (they received our packet yesterday, so no NOAs yet) person...so I get to crossover and be part of both! :D The CS should have given you a sealed packet with the I-693 inside of it to include in your packet. The vaccination section that they need is on that form, so you should be good with just that. :) The vaccination page is for your records in case you ever need to reference it in the future.

    hello,

I reciecve an RFE last two days ago requireng us to submit some initial evidence like my husbands 1040,w2s in 2008, letter of employment and pay stubs... we just done with that yesterday because my husband claim me as a wife in his 08 tax application and we used H&R block, thats the reason we had some delayed of submitting the 08 1040s and w2s. what confuse me now is my husbands jobs that dont provide or give out employment letter anymore they just have this new policy. Last feb,20 09 my husband recieve a letter of recognition of a good job well done so i decided to include that showing that my husband is currently working. I also include the letter of employment from 2007 indicating my husbands date of employment, wages and salary and numbers of hours hes working with them. Do you think this is way enough coz i cant really provide recent letter of employment but personally paystubs,1040s,w2s, letter of recognition and 07 letter of employment make sense to me but i dont know am so worried and confuse let me know what do u think

I filed my I-485 & I-765 application last january 28,09 on feb 27 iv done my biometrics... but this march 27 i received an RFE requiring us to submit some initial evidence like my husbands recent 2008 1040 and w2s, they also require us to submit recent letter of employment indicating the dates of employment, wages & salary, nature of the job, numbers of hours worked and pay stubs. We got all of that except the recent letter of employment... my husbands job has a new policy of not giving out or provide letter of employment anymore. So i just use the 2007 letter of employment and a letter of recognition of a good job well done that he just had last feb 20,09. For me i think this is way enough to show them that my husband met the poveryty line and that he has really working stable but am confuse hope you could help me and share me some good views since u guys are done with this paper works
