  1. I understand how you feel. I know it sucks waiting over the weekend to call again on monday but be more patient. Only way to find out what's that letter was about is to call at least 2 or 3 times and talk to different operators. If all operators said the same thing, 100% its accurate. About my DS230, i had to call 3 times also to know what am i really gonna do about that. First operator said i have to redo the page 1, but the second and third operators said i dont have to and that the case is almost complete, so majority wins. as i said before Just hang in there.. sooner or later you'll be out of that AP thing. You are almost done.. after the AP will be your medical and interview.. just 2 steps away.. I would suggest to do pre-medical test to check if you have any problem or not.. go to a hospital or clinic near you and have your blood checked and x-ray. If ever you have any problem, you still have much time to cure what you need to cure before your medical exam.. less waiting time when you finally have to do your medical test in St. Lukes.

Tata, i think the NVC's been problems with their e-mail system. I received an email from the NVC too today.. it's about our previous false RFE for my DS230. It was asking me to redo my DS230-I, but the NVC already completed our case and i was already given the interview date. Check on the date of the NVC letter. Or; you can try calling the NVC again on monday.. sometimes different operators would say different things.

Just a few more days wait and hopefully you'll get out of AP. Just hang in there!

hello guys.i received an electronic mail from the NVC today stating that my case has been forwarded to the u.s. embassy in manila already but when i called the nvc to confirm it, the operator said it is still there.i just don't understand why they would send me such email telling me that my case is in manila already when in fact it is not yet and still on administrative processing?what kind of bogus is this?anyone here who can enlighten me with this matter?

this is really crazy raeka.i was shouting for joy when i woke up as i read the mail.but all of a sudden the joy was snatched away from me.the date of the mail is march 28.that is today.im starting to worry again here raeka.this is sick.

i called twice already and the operator said the same thing.im so worried here.

  2. It usually leave abt 4-5 days later after they said have have ffd it the embassy.

    So not to worry.

It also have happened to me.

i hope so as i already called 2 times.it's still the same answer there.i asked the operator how can i receive such email and she said "its a general thing"!!!how can they play with somebody's feelings here!grrrrr.i asked her if there is something wrong with the papers, she said none and just going through additional processing which could take a month or so.what's taking forever for this?

  5. they actually gave me a case number.what does that mean?does that make a difference at all?

you can use that case number to call NVC as often as you like and ask if you are still in AP. I started calling everyday after the 40th or so day lol

you two look so joyful.the picture tells so much bliss.im glad for you.may God bless you abundantly.i hope one day i will come to that point where you are both now.thank you so much for your encouragement.that is very heart warming

  6. thank you so much guys.you are all very encouraging.at least i know here i can get sympathy.i just feel like im cursed for going through this great ordeal.i waited for two years all in all and now NVC is proposing another more.i just dont know when this is going to end.

  7. thank you so much for that encouragement.im just so tired of waiting.i just dont understand why it takes forever for few cases like mine when others here rejoicing because of their smooth sailing petitions and finding about that is hurting me even more.i dont think i can wait for another 2, 3 months. i will already lose the one person i want to share my life with by then.

  8. hello guys!

i am so worried here.i can't sleep.i thought my great ordeal has stopped when uscis approved my k-1 petition.it took them SEVEN LONG months to do that!!! we filed on august and just on the 6th of march they had it approved on expedited process i believe so.now my petition is stuck at NVC!it's on administrative processing!i can't believe my fortune here.im so disheartened.i've waited long enough already, i don't think i could still wait for more.what should i do?

  9. hello everyone.i have two concerns here and i hope you could clear me with these things to ease up my burdens here.

first is that the NVC received our NOA2 on march 12, until now it's still on processed.we made a follow-up today and nothing has changed there.is this normal?

second is that about the employment letter of my fiance.due to a strict policy of his company, they won't issue him an employment letter.it's supposed to be just a certification that he is currently employed.shouldnt be a big deal but then his company won't issue such out of liability reasons.although we have a complete documentation of his w2's and pay stubs.will this be a problem for me?anyone out there with same case as mine?i hope you can enlighten me with these issues.

I wonder why your fiance can't get an employment letter from his company its just a simple request they just have to state how long he's been hired, his salary and the nature of his job.Agree with Rocky, you should have the copies of his ITR'S,pay stubs and W2'S.Good luck.

i also am wondering.he is employed with georgia pacific wauna mill and a supervisor there.he requested his HR but was refused due to liability reasons.their company has very strict policies.i understand its very simple certification but there is nothing he can do but live with it.

  10. anybody here who knows where to find a cheap one way ticket to the u.s.?what is the usual fare rate?anybody here knows what agency i should contact to here in the philippines just to be prepared when time comes?

thank you so much.informations are highly appreciated.

    God bless us all!

Yeah, it usually takes a couple of weeks before the embassy has your case number and will allow you to make an appointment for interview. If your fiance's employer will not provide a letter, then there's not much you can do. However, if you got a copy of the last ITR and his W2's, you should be okay as far as verifying income. You should have copies of his last few pay stubs. I recommend just to be sure to have the previous 2 ITR's as well, especially if you are running close to the guidelines or to show continuous employment for the last 3 years.

    Good luck.

oh thank you so much for this.this helps a lot.i'm just worried witiih NVC.i dont know whats taking it forever there.its almost 2 weeks from receipt but if i am to include the date of approval which is march 6(noa2), its been 3 weeks now.

  13. hello guys!i am an august filer at califonia service center and after 7 months of waiting the uscis approved the petition last march 6, 2009...just recently.the annoying thing is that during that course of time, my lawyer did the follow-up but then they said they have not processed the petition yet.she requested to expedite my case.on march 10, the california service center emailed her saying that my case can't be decided yet because it's under investigation.my frustration adn depression went high even more.but on march 11, she received an email and my fiance also received a hard copy of the approval notice (NOA2).i just can't believe how unsystematic they are.now my fiance called the nvc and asked for the case number.he was given a case number yet the operator said it's not forwarded to manila yet because it's still under investigation at washington dc (background check).how long does this normally take?

my second concern is about the baptismal certificate.i learned that some were asked of this.i was a catholic but now a christian convert and was baptized just last year.will my recent baptismal certificate do?or should it be the one from the catholic church when i was still months old?please guys i need some enlightening here.

    God bless you all!

my petition was filed at california service center on august and they received it on august 14, 2008.it was touched in august 18, 2008.until now there is no progress.my case is still pending.it's been over 6 months now.in fact almost 7 and no news.my lawyer said the 6 months is just a time approximation and that it could take longer up to 12 months.she also said that it will take 2-4 months after the uscis approves it before it will be forwarded to manila for the further process.as i was reading the timeline of people here, things seem to be moving so fast.and im really wondering what is going on with mine.in fact there are those here which were filed in september and now have been scheduled for interview/medical already.im starting to feel pity over myself.its been a long time of waiting.im scared that the more they delay things for me, the greater will the possibility of losing the one person i love so.

  18. hi.i've been checking the uscis and for more than 6 months now the case status has not changed :case received and pending.my case is filed at california service center in august 2008.we have a lawyer handling the case.and i've been reading around here "NOA1, NOA2, touched". havent encountered them since.where do you find those?and how much longer should i wait to be able to apply in the U.S. embassy in manila?anyone has same concern with mine?i would really appreciate some enlightenings here as its killing me already.

I really can't believe that this has gone this long for you, and especially with you having an attorney working for you. What the heck is this attorney doing besides cashing your check, and doing luncheons?...obviously you have you recieved letter from USCIS to indicate they have received the application, this really shouldn't take longer than 2-3 months before they forward to NVC. I filed Sept. 26, 08...I already have been approved my NVC, and application forwarded to Chinese Embassy. Typically from that point on it's an arduous wait of 3-5 months...but at least I know to expect that!...I feel so compassionate to you waiting, and waiting this long. Your attorney should be fired.....he's obviously not going to make any calls until you pay him more money to do so. I don't know the numbers anymore, but I do know that with persistance, you can get a number to speak to someone who will check on your application. I did this 4 years ago, and doing it for the 2nd time now. The 1st time, I tried to reach a real person, and got no help. Tried again a month later, still got no help....tried again, and finally talked with someone who actually cared...at the very least, I gained some satisfaction as to knowing that at least i could check on the app. turns out the 3rd person informed me that the app. had actually been forwarded already...but I did not have to endure what you're going thru. Bottom line:---make the calls...Your attorney is a bozo.

thank you so much for empathizing.i've been reading testimonies from people here and things seem to be going so well with their cases on the real expected time.i really dont understand with mine.the assistant of our lawyer said he contacted the USCIS and said that they extended it up to the end of february or early next month (march).i really am weakening about this tedious process and how long it had been.what should i do?how should i contact the uscis?
