  1. what exactly do you want verified?

Basically, I've heard about this practice, but I've never seen anything "official" about it. I'd really like to see a government website that discusses the granting of the EAD at the JFK POE. Additionally, I'd also be interested to see if EAD is available at any other POEs, and if so, how to go about getting it.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I know that JFK is the only POE that regularly issues the EAD. I have heard this information from people's personal experiences as well as seen it in guides like the one below. My question is, can someone please direct me to a government website that mentions this practice? Thanks in advance for your assistance!!!

    >>K-1 Visa Holder Guide <<

    When you can File:

    1. At the Airport. As a K-1 Visa Holder you may receive a temporary EAD at the Point of Entry (POE). This has however become very uncommon and the only known POE that (and not always) issues these is JFK International Airport. If they do issue you a temporary EAD it will expire on the date that your K-1 expires (90 days from entry on your K-1). (Where: at the POE only)

  3. This is the best gift ever. I had the most difficult midterm exam today, I just got home tired and angry about my test so I decided to check my email and go to bed. To my surprise, God has taken the sadness, tiredness and anger away with the best news I have been waiting over 6 months for:

On March 17, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

Good luck to everyone waiting!!!! I will keep all in prayer.

Congratulations on your NOA2. I love to see other August filers get their approvals. I'd love to be next . . .

  4. Funny I just posted a new one today for the same as this one but anyway VSC just changed it to 6 months today

so that puts anyone older than September 17th out of date

my date is Aug 5th I'm calling them in the morning even with my RFE I'm still out of date.

I have had no RFEs and no touches. I called yesterday to make a service request regarding being outside of processing times.

Can you please let us know what, if anything, you were able to accomplish by calling USCIS this morning? Good luck!

  5. I just noticed last night that our number on the Berkeley website is #109 and the link from here to Igor's list shows us as #201. They can't both be correct. Anyone else notice this?

I have noticed these two lists as well. I also posted a question about it, but no one responded. I'll bump up your post, so perhaps we will both get our question answered.

  6. both CSC and VSC has been reporting 6 months for awhile now, so nothing new here...

No, VSC was previously showing May 12, 2008 (or so).

USCIS reported this change today. As per USCIS information (see link posted in my original post), "when applications and petitions are completed without our target timeframes, those timeframes will be shown (example: 3 months). If we are not meeting our target timeframes a date will be shown (example: April 16, 2008)."

As of last month, I-129F petitions were not beign completed within their target timeframes, hence a date was showing on the table. Now, however, the 6 month target timeframe is being shown.

  7. I'm with you.

I've been waiting for over 6 months.

i don't know how I'm making it through... but its been pretty crazy lately.

Hope things go well for you. Best wishes.

On Thursday, March 19, we will hit day 210 since we received the NOA1. I'm confident that the NOA2 must be coming soon, but I hope we won't have to wait too much longer.

I hope everyone can continue to be patient as we wait for the ever elusive NOA2.

  8. Today is 160 days for us since NOA1 and have heard nothing since...not even a touch. When I look at Igor's list, I see there are many that are older than mine, but I dont know if they are just not updated or not. The average NAO1 to NAO2 is 137 days as of today according to VJ. Trying to get a feel if I should be getting concerned or not yet.

BTW...Congrats to all that have NAO2...I see many are gtting through VSC in 3-4 months!!

Today, we hit day 195. No touches. Nothing since the NOA1 way back on August 21, 2008.

  9. 2. Based on what I've heard about security checks, do you think it is plausible that I (the petitioner) could be responsible for things taking so long? I am an attorney, and here in NC before being allowed to sit for the bar exam, you must submit fingerprints as a part of your bar application. Although I have not been informed that we are dealing with security/background checks, could THIS be the a possible explanation for why were are still waiting for the NOA2?

I think it is possible. I had to have a state and federal background check for my job along with fingerprints to the FBI I think and we just made it out of background checks after 3 months there.

    Thanks for your feedback.

I guess we will all have to turn our attention to March and hope that the new month will bring lots more NOA2s.

  10. I can't believe that 6+ months after sending in our I-129F package, I would ever ever ever still be waiting to receive the NOA2.

A bit of background about why you are just now hearing from me:

I registered for VJ a long time ago and have since forgotten my usernname, password, etc. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of retrieving it, because all of my attempts to do so have failed. Oh well.

Anyway, I'm here now under a different name, but on Igor's List I am Ramn & Jennifer or Jennifer and Ramón depending on which one you look at.

    Here are some questions:

    1. How do you handle still waiting for the NOA2? We received our NOA1 on August 21, 2008, and I am consumed by thoughts of the ever elusive NOA2.

  11. I wanted to finally say hello to all of the August 2008 filing folks.

So, here are all of my questions I've been wishing I could ask the whole time while I was reading all your posts and following your journeys. I was never able to post due to the usernname issue, but I'm ready to go now, so . . .

    1. What's the deal with the TWO Igor's Lists? http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/vsc.aspx and http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthl...=2&sortby=2

    2. All those folks who are still awaiting their NOA2, how do you handle it? We received our NOA1 on August 21, 2008, and I am consumed by thoughts of the ever elusive NOA2.

    3. Even though I'm a late comer to the club, will you all accept me? I'm also going to hang out with the sad crowd in the 6+ month area.
