My aunt who currently leaves in Greece, where the economy is so bad and there are no jobs, want to come to America. Could someone guide me through the steps and the process how to bring her here please. Thank you in advance for your help.

I wanted to ask someone, since I am new to this threat and not very sure were to start.

My sister in Law wants to come here to visit us with her boyfriend for a week or two. I don't know what I need to file. We live in Michigan, USA. She and her man will support themselves with money. So she doesn't need any affidavit. She only wants to come because she has not seen her brother, my husband, for over 14 years. And her little nephew, my son, either.

Please would someone tell me what should I do. Do I need to call immigration and ask them?

My fiance has arrived in US. We are getting married this weekend. I wanted to ask what steps are we going throw for adjustment of status( green card)?

I went to USCIS website and looked at the forms. When I was reading the steps basically it's only form I-485 that we need to fill out? Is it correct? (then affidavit of support and form I-94)

Could someone guide me on what I have to fill our?

Hopefully if your police record came back with no trace on it then you wont have a problem

If all goes to plan expect your visa in around a week

Just to let you know that the courier service is not always a next day service they can take longer if you are outside of London

We did receive the police certificate with NO TRACE. Called the courier they said will come on Tuesday. We live in London.

This means GOOD NEWS?

Don't worry you guys. Everything will go smooth and soon we will have a post from you sharing your experience with us. It will be easy basic questions and you will be out of there in no time. Think positive and arrive early give yourself some extra time. Thing as you are going to meet your partners family and telling them how much you want to be with him/her.

My fiance attended the interview on the 25. He didn't have the police certificate with him (ACPO) at the time of the interview, we received it today. This is what the guy at the interview told him:

When you receive the police certificate call the corrieri of the embassy so he can come and collect it and send it in with your passport, he also said that: "When I receive your passport and ACPO I will deal with your visa".

Does this mean we are good? And that he still has a chance to get the visa? The corrier is coming on Tuesday to collect both passport and ACPO.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we are freaking out helpsmilie.gif

Chances are that as soon as the document is received by the embassy they will finish processing the visa. I believe congratz will be coming soon to you.

I know that's true thank you so much for being here and responding. I very much appreciate it.

I don't know who to calm first, myself or my fiance. the interviewer had no problem with us sending ACPO later he said its ok if you don't have it with you.

I thought maybe someone went throw this before and maybe knew an answer to make us feel a little better. Now we just have to wait for the passport to come, which according to the interviewer we should receive it with in 3-5 days

In my opinion if a man cheats one he will do it again. You should do what you think is best for you. However leave before you are in USA for more than 90 days. You never know what the future would bring maybe you will meet another guy in the States and you don't want to have problems.

Make sure you know the person very well before saying "yes". I don't know much about online dating never did it never will. But I have heart from other people having problems like this. I am sorry to hear it. I wish you find a good guy who will love and respect you!!

The police ceritificate that we got today it says my fiance's details and NO TRACE! then it explains and says NO TRACE means that you have never had any criminal records and further details about what NO TRACE MEANS. THATS IT.

It was a quick interview and he didn't say anything about the ACPO he just said sent it in. We are just not sure what is going on I never heart or read anything in this forum about it. I checked we are about 3 hours west of Troy.

I know where it is I used to go to school in Ann Arbor (U OF MI). My friend goes to Kalamazoo college I have been there many times. It's a bit far from Troy

it's ok we have been waiting for several months few more days wouldn't hurt. I just hope we get our interview date asap

P.S where in Michigan are you from? I am from Troy

Embassy has been replying in 6-7 days not the 3-4 they say. I've been sending emails regularly over the last four weeks.

thank you it makes me feel better now at least I know I have to wait longer to get a reply from them

I forgot to ask about the email. I have emailed the embassy in UK it said I should be receiving an email from them with in 3-4 days. Does this mean I have to wait longer? It's been 5 days and I have not heard from them. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to send a reply back?

Hello everyone,

We did our medical today and all went very well. Now we are just waiting for one more document then we sent out the checklist. And after that we just hope we get an interview soon. Of what we have been reading it takes 4-6 weeks to get an interview day, is it right?
