  1. Fedex is still operating here in Philippines. Its only the hub that was transferred to China.

But all of the branches all over the Philippines will still accept whatever you want to send.

The only difference is the transit time. If before when they still have the hub here in the Philippines was 1 day, now it will be 2 days.

If you send it on Monday, it will arrive in US Wed. USA time.

So you guys can still use Fedex.

You can call them at (63-2) 855-84-84 for more info.

Awesome. Thank you, I was worried

  2. No more Fed EX in Philippines they transfered in China. You can mail it through LBC also.

I called Fed Ex and they told me that EverBest Logistics in Cagayan did FedEx. That is what she was going to use. Is this bad? Should I stop her?

What is LBC? If Washington tries to use the self addressed envelope is there and LBC in the USA that will ship it back?

  3. My fiance is going to send a self address envelope to Washington for them to mail some documents back to her. What is a fast service that she can prepay and that can be mailed in the US to the Philippines? I thought I heard that they don't have Fed Ex and DHL anymore. Please help. She is going to mail this in 1-2 hours. She is in Cagayan De Oro

Use DHL they are still operating in PHilippines.

I think she found a place that may use Fed Ex? Is this safe or are they pulling out? Would they honor the shipment a month or two later when the prepaid envelope is used?

  5. where are you that you are trying to get an international money order from?

if you are in the states, just get one at the post office. if it needs to be drawn from a u.s. bank, i am assuming it is being sent to the u.s., so i am having a hard time understanding why you would get the money order in the philippines to send to the u.s. if one of you is here already...but i must admit i have no idea what a crba is....so, maybe if we had a bit more info we could help :)

My fiance needs to get one. She lives in Cagayan De Oro. She needs to mail it to the US to get a copy of her Consular's Report of Birth Abroad (if they even have it) The place says they need a money order drawn on a US Bank. I guess Western Union would work? I am not sure????

I wish I could help you.Theres VJ members here who filed CRBA in US embassy in manila maybe they can help you but they are not online right now so just keep on posting tommorrow.

Yeah, her mom is a US citizen and left her at an early age. It turns out that she supposedly registered her at the embassy. My fiance finally got a hold of her and asked about it. Her mom told her that she did register her and has the papers but won't give them to her. Now we have to send for a copy which is a major pain (including notaries and affidavits) and she has to send a money order or check drawn off a US Bank for payment. She lives in Cagayan De Oro and we are not sure where she should get the money order from.

Check the USembassy manila website http://manila.usembassy.gov and go to 'consular and visa services' theres requirements/procedure for claiming US citizenship. You need to contact AIR21 (Embassy-contracted courier service) tel.nos.(632)879-4747 from 7:30am-4:30pm to obtain forms and list of requirements. From my understanding you can pay the CRBA fee $65.00 either in US or Philippine currency so you/your fiance can pay it in Banco De Oro or CITIBANK but first you need to contact AIR21 they will tell you what to do.Goodluck.Sorry that your soon to-be mother in-law is acting like an #######.

Thank you. The embassy said we need to send a request to Washington including the money order. That is the only place that we can get it from but it has to be drawn on a US bank. Do you think Western Union Money Order will work?

About her mom....She is a terrible person for what she has done....hopefully one day she will change.

  8. For a copy of a CRBA my fiance has to send a check or money order from, the Philippines to the US. The check or money order has to be drawn from a US bank. Where can she get an international money order in Cagayan De Oro or find a US bank to issue one?

  9. I was reading about this...if my fiance's mom (who is an American citizen) filed one at the embassy my fiance would be an American Citizen already and wouldn't have to prove her mom lived in the US for 5 years?

My fiance thinks that she may have been registered at the embassy. We will call Monday to find out. Is their a specific division we should call or just ask to speak to any Consulate?

Here is stuff I found about it

    http://www.east-site.com/consular_reports

    http://canberra.usembassy.gov/consular/acs...nship/crba.html

I don't quite understand what it means. I wish they were 100% clear

I hope she has it. She said believes her parents registered her at the embassy so this is what it would mean right?

If I am reading this right then this is pretty much all she would need to get a US passport right?

Anyone know any thing about these?

I am so excited but I don't know if I should be ...my fiance says she believes that she was "registered" at the embassy...does that mean they will have a Consular Report of Birth Abroad? Is that all we need basically for the passport. Anyone? Someone has to know?

Once I registered my son at the embassy here I was able to give them the form/documents for an American passport for him at the same time, and it arrived a week later. A CRBA is a document confirming that a child is an American citizen by virtue of having one or both parents that are American citizens. You'd have to check at the embassy to see if her mom did this (so "registered" may mean that she has a CRBA). As excited as you might be, you'll probably have to wait until monday to contact the embassy, so hang in there! :)

Awesome! Thank you, Could registering mean anything else or is this all it could be? Her mom abandoned her when she was young so she doesn't know for sure....she thought someone told her that her (grandma) on her mom's side (also a US citizen) was the one that registered her...Is that even possible?

"Registering" could also simply be an american citizen who is "checking in" with the local embassy or consulate where they are traveling and/or living. The consular officer that processed my son's birth abroad report highly encouraged me to "register" with the embassy so that they could get in contact with me should an emergency or other situation arise in which either they would need to contact me or my family. But in the case of your fiancee I don't think that would be applicable. I can't say to tell you whether her grandma could've done it, that depends on what the regulations were in that particular consulate around the time she was born (it's possible if the regulations for registering a birth abroad were more lax back then). Best of luck, and let us know what turns up!

Her mom claims that she registered them but she will not give her the paper. She is a very mean lady who abandoned her at a very young age. My fiance finally got a hold of her only to be insulted. I don't know if the mother really has is or not or if she is lying. She also told my fiance that she had her banned from the embassy (which I know is a lie). My fiance's family warned me of her mother but I never thought she could be this cruel.

My fiance did call the embassy and ask if she was registered. She said they looked her up in the computer but didn't see anything.....I don't know if everyone that received a CRBA would be in the computer or not. She is going to call the embassy again today (Tuesday for her) and ask a bunch of questions. Who should she ask to speak to? They kind blew her off last time and when I called they told me they couldn't tell me anything because of the privacy act. Who should we ask for?

Does anyone have any advice? Anyone know some good questions to ask? She is going to ask what is the best way to get a copy of the CRBA and how does she know if one even exists.

Thanks everyone and I hope this works out.

  10. She had me banned also

    She is very powerful.

Rumor has it she also controls the weather and the economy of the USA.

    Back to reality.

If a mother tries to do harm or give harmful or lies to a child, then she is a worthless P.O.S. (Piece of $hit).

HAHAHA....I agree. Like I said...it sounded ridiculous to me....I just wanted to make 100% sure. My fiance called me crying. She is very gullible but very kind.

  11. My fiance finally got a hold of her US citizen mom and her mom was very mean to her and told her that she banned her from the embassy. She said she had her banned. IS that even possible or is the mom lying? I am 90% sure she is but I want to be 100% sure. She said she had her registered at birth but later had her banned?????

another place to check for a document would be the city where she was born when the birth certificate was registered it might provide some help in your situation too if the Embassy lead is a dead end. Most city halls have a section for foreign birth and death registrations, that is separate from the Embassy. Just another place for you to look. Hope everything works out for you.

It would be if the grandmother had all the required documents and proofs

This is crazy! After all we have been through the solution might have been right under our noses the whole time. I hope that this works out! Thank you everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I can't get too excited yet....

USEM may require a DNA test. Still a hell of a lot easier and cheaper going thru the entire immigration process.

If there's any chance at all of her getting her USC that easy I'd :jump all over it". Even if it takes hiring a lawyer.

I'd start by talking to American Services. You should call. USEM aren't normally that cooperative with filipinas!
